The other day, I needed a few things and decided to try there instead of WalMart nearby. They had a ton of stuff on sale. I bought 10 pairs of shoes for 25¢ each (CENTS). No, I didn't need 10 new pairs of shoes, but c'mon. I was able to get a lot of grocery items on really good clearance. They didn't have a great selection, but good enough to get me through the weekend. They had a lot of stuff marked down to 25¢. I ended up spending $50 when I went in to buy about $3 worth of stuff. WHICH IS WHY I DON'T COME HERE!!! The guy that checked my stuff out was quiet but really nice. I had signed up for a Big Lots card a long time ago, but didn't have it. He really wanted me to get credit for the big purchase I made that day so volunteered to take the time to fix my old account so I'd get those "points" even when I told him he didn't really have to go to the effort if he was too busy. He wasn't that busy, so was perfecty happy to do it. I'll definitely go back, although I'll have to be careful not to buy too much.

The people were very nice, very friendly. It was lunchtime and we got some fresh chili (served for a few hours, 11-1, I think) and we also got some cinnamon rolls with maple frosting. There's several stores that use the bulk returns products to sell, but they make pricing simple based on the day of the week. This is more like how the clerk and the owner feel that day and how motivated they are to give you a deal. Worst part is if you're good at picking out great deals you don't get a deal, but just did the work for the store to know those are high value items. Until this shop does simple pricing for the day of the week I won't go back. My time is better spent at similar stores that make it simple to shop.
