The workers were nice and helped me figure out what the menu was all about. While waiting for our order, it was quit crowded. Many people were waiting for their order too, but as I walked around to look for a place to stand, I kept running into all the workers! There's just so many of them! They're everywhere. I've been here a lot more times than my current two check-ins suggests. Overall, it is a solid five guys, although they do tend to get sloppy when it nears closing time. Last time I came, I ordered a burger and a large fries with cajun seasoning on the side. The server put the seasoning on the fries, and then, when she realized that I wanted it on the side, tried to play off as if she hadn't by adding a container of cajun spice on the side. Some of the franchises cook the burgers too much or undercooked....this was fresh and so perfect !!! I've been to Five Guys in six or so states and each one has been a pleasant experience. Good burgers the with a wide variety or condiments and fries that are similar to Thrasher's on the Boardwalk in Ocean City MD. I had frequented Pearl's for lunch numerous times as I work on the island. Pearl's was okay, but the cooking was spotty and the buns broke apart while eating. Five Guys is a welcome replacement for Pearl's. My main reason for this review is to note a particular staff member who I thought was exceptional. I did not get his name but he is a real asset to this location. He was policing the dining area and stopped by my table and asked my friend and I how things were. Pretty normal customer service. We spoke for a minute of so about the differences from Pearl's and how the staff makes the burger patties early each morning. He then moved on to what was probably a family friend who recognized him as she entered the store. At this time a group of elderly women with one in a wheel chair arrived. He went over immediately and removed a chair and moved the table to better accommodate the lady in the wheelchair. As the other ladies went to place their orders, he asked if lady in the wheelchair would like some peanuts and then proceeded to get her an order. I do not know if this level of service is taught at this store or if the gentleman did it on his own. Either way I thought it showed real customer service. read more

They recently opened so I'll be understanding of that in my review on two points: My order was missing a condiment and hyper/too many employees. Cheese burger was tasty, fries ok, a bit to salty and it was nice to have a larger selection of soda, e.g. Caffeine free Diet Coke. Environment: Not enough indoor seating, Very/extremely noisy: music and staff (take your little ones they could be screaming and no one would notice)...Thank God I found a table outside, the outside seating is limited and I saw several sitting going into the common area tables to eat (this will be a problem come rainy season). I think the "to go" option is the answer for a burger craving with the meat being better than a Carl's, McD, BK, Jack, etc. they do wrap the burger in foil which should help it retain the heat. Yeah, okay, the burger is pretty good....but after the fries at drink you're paying 9-10 bucks for a fast food meal. Not exactly appealing to me, especially when their biggest rival, In-N-Out, chargers 6 bucks for a double double, fries, and a drink. Basically, you're paying top dollar prices, that you would normally pay at a sit down restaurant, for fast food. Second reason is the general location. The store is really tiny, and during the lunch rush, nights, and weekends, it is fifty fifty if you will find a seat. If the prices were lower and it was a better location, i'd be a fan though. Seems over the top for a burger that, while good, isn't great. Between the burger, fries, and drink you're looking at a 10-11 buck meal. Their names for the burgers are a little deceptive....the regular cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger, while the little cheeseburger is a single patty. Service is adequate, not fantastic. The employees are nice, and, unlike the employees at Burger King or Mcdonalds, listen to personal preferences and actually care about their customers' experiences. First off, the burgers, while good, do not account for the price being as high as they are. I can get a comparable burger thats just as good at jack n the box or carls jr. $8 for the burger alone? Finally was able to try this place out after hearing such great reviews. I love the topping options that are included. I was a bit embarassed to learn that the regular hamburger came with 2 patties. I found out by mistake. After my order of 2 burgers with everything the gal had turned her head to the grill and said 4 patties, I said whoah wait how many patties comes on a burger? She said 2. Surprised I asked if there was a way to have just one, she explained that that would be the little burger. Another DUH moment for me. Noted and no more incidents like this on future trips. As for the burger itself it was great. The juices from all the toppings complimented the meat well and didn't completely soak the bun to an uneatable state. The fries that everyone raves about came in a cup that my kids finished before I even got a taste. I've heard a lot of good things about Five Guys so my boyfriend and I decided to try it since I really wanted to try Gelati Pop and they were literally in the same vicinity. We ordered two little cheeseburgers, both all the way (comes with ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, and grill mushrooms) and one little fries to share. There were seats inside and in the outside patio. We didn't hear our order being called and since we were sitting outside, so one of the workers came and brought our order out for us, which was really nice of him to do. I don't know if they normally do that or if it was only because it wasn't busy, but the gesture itself was appreciated. Opening the burger up, it was pretty huge. Flavor-wise, it was ok. It tasted like your typical cheeseburger. There wasn't anything about it that stood out to me. It was just a cheeseburger that I could've made myself. Also, the grilled mushrooms did nothing for my burger. It's a nice feature to have but I barely tasted it in the burger. As for the fries, for an order of little fries, the portion was a lot. I shared it with my boyfriend and we weren't able to finish it. The fries tasted like In-N-Out fries but just with bigger pieces. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way just to eat Five Guys. I still like In-N-Out better, but that's just me. read more
