Five Guys lives up to it reputation in every town we go to. This place is packed but the line is running like a well oiled machine. My wife went the cheese burger combo that comes with fries and drink. My son went with the bacon cheeseburger combo. I chose the bacon cheeseburger loaded. A side of regular chili fries and a milk shake with Oreo cookies and salted caramel. The lettuce was made using ice berg and the leaves were in several pieces, it was impossible to eat, even while partly wrapped in the foil. I gave up after eating half of it. I was having a really bad day and my visit to the Allen Park Five Guys really lifted my spirits! There were 6 or 7 workers and it looked like everyone was assigned a specific job with food prep, cooking, and customers. Everyone was in a good mood and they were all wearing masks and gloves. I was greeted right away and I felt so welcomed. Food wise; I will tell you, the very best part of my meal was the peanut butter chocolate malt! Mmmmmm-mmmmmm good! It was blended well and had the perfect chocolate to peanut butter ratio. I had a hot dog, and as far as hot dogs go, it was excellent. Other items were fries and a little bacon cheeseburger which received 2 thumbs up and a big grin from my 80-something year old neighbor. Great Location Burgers and Oh My those Fries. A super location at the corner of Southfield and Outer Drive that's sandwiched between a Starbucks and Coldstone creamery, a little something for everyone I tell you. Newer location has a lot of first timers figuring out how to order those super fresh juicy burgers. Had a double cheeseburger with the large mega fries whoa there so good, my all time favorite anywhere cooked to perfection each time. Tries the Bacon Hotdog which was just ok, they got those new 120 flavor Coke machines which will pour you anything except Beer oh well. I ask and got a lesson from the manager on those fries which are stacked high in 50 pound bags by the front door. They take pride in telling you which state and farm there from. They use a hand machine that cranks them into a large sink of ice cold water that sets for 2 hours then dried and blanched in hot peanut oil for a few moments and hung on the wall in baskets for about an hour prior to frying. Peanut oil and the double deep fry makes these the world's best tasting fries by far I tell you. Get the large a mega cup full with spill over in the bag for left overs,,,,you'll be very happy you did. read more

Severely SEVERELY over priced. Not bad but these past couple of years the portions have gone down and the prices have hiked. I mean the last couple of times I've been, those fries they are world famous for making, have lost something in the seasoning and they don't even give you the portions they used to....used to be a family of 3 or 4 could eat 1 large fry, two people could more than easily share a smaller one but I've actually seen this location measure the contents....like if you order a small and they cut 2 potato's they actually just fill the carton and hold any remaining ones back so they resell the cold nasty fries that are waiting....plus if you decide to have it delivered.....ppssshhhh. 3 people with 2 small fries, three bacon cheese burgers with a delivery service??? First time visitor. Loved the freshness of the food and did appreciate how you can watch the food being made. I wish I knew the burgers came with 2 patties, unless you specify one patty (or small burger); the burger had great flavor but it was too large to finish, especially with delicious french fries! I've eaten at many different Five Guys restaurants, and the things that always stand out for me are the delicious food, and the fast service. Here, the food was as tasty as always, and the service was competent, but not fast. But, one thing that never occurred to me at this chain was that they might mess the order up. It has literally never happened before at a Five Guys restaurant. But, I guess there's a first time for everything. They got three of the four burgers wrong. I didn't pick up the wrong order: they asked me the number, and I confirmed the number, but I guess the person bagging the orders up got mixed up. somebody remade the burgers pretty quickly, but this put a damper on what was supposed to be a quick lunch for me today. My recent order was delicious; I got the cheeseburger that comes with two patties, and got everything except pickles, and mushrooms on it; the patties were freshly made at the time of order. I also got the regular fries which is enough for two people. They have an open kitchen so you can see them cooking the patties and making the food. The burgers are never frozen; and cooked on a grill. This burger joint is in a really good location near other restaurants, and shopping. It seems like they raised the prices of the burger, and fries quite a bit it was around $30 dollars for two cheeseburgers which gives you two patties, and one regular fry which is enough for two people; I would recommend trying them. read more

As far as Five Guys go, this is a no go. Very, very slow. Had an issue with an order, it took over 25 minutes to get my food. As I asked for a refund, suddenly my order came up. The guy who called my number asked if I still wanted the food. Being as I was on lunch break and didn't have time to go some place else, I told him yeah. He came back with "well, a minute ago you wanted a refund, so which is it?" I responded with, done waiting, just give me my food. He asked again if I'm sure and snatched the bag away from me when I reached to grab it. Then slid it on the counter towards me. When I called to complain, not only did I get a confirmation about the email and phone call, I never got a response. This has soured my want to eat at Five Guys again. Anywhere. Visited this Five Guys location at 11:15 a.m. on 8/8 to order takeout. The restaurant had just opened at 11 a.m. I emphasize the time because the restaurant was so filthy at opening and didn't appear that it had been cleaned the night prior. Trash cans were full, floor looked like it had not been mopped in days, soda machines were dirty with spillage on the counter, ketchup was splattered on wall, food remnants were on the kitchen floor, countertops were sticky, the grill looked as if it had never been cleaned. I could go on, but the pictures speak for themselves. While I expect restaurants to be cleanly at all times, it would seem the staff would be even more attentive to cleanliness and creating an environment where customer feel safe in light of Covid. Quick service at the counter. The fries can be great if you get a batch that is not soggy but crisp. The hamburger is tricky if you how to order it correctly. The bun at times is smashed and flimsy. So the best way to order is to have your bun separate from the cheeseburger. The bun by itself is a lot more crisp. Rey good selection of pop. Hot dogs are ok but no where near a great hot dog. If you're craving a juicy burger this is the place to go! I am never disappointed when it comes to the taste, whether its the burger, fries or milkshakes. All are made to perfection and yes they are messy but remember its no upscale restaurant. Fries are always fresh and they give you plenty! Only downside at this location is you wait FOREVER so dont come starving. And almost every time I go here, they are messing orders up. Sadly when I presented it to the guy at the register he said he had never seen it & his supervisor had not either. They did not honor it. She did, however, take a picture of it for future inquiries. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with additional toppings. I didn't get the bacon. Otherwise the burger was yummy, messy, and hot. The fries were good. My hubby & I split a large. Service was slow, but it was a Saturday and they had a lot of orders coming in. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Friendly workers are a plus :) I'd like to go back again soon. read more

Ive had really good burgers. And these are really good burgers. I almost want to give 5 stars because ive gone for 5 Guys, two weeks in a row. And i rarely repeat meals. I actually got the exact same thing. A Bacon Cheeseburger, add all the black toppings, add green peppers and A1 Sauce. And a order of Cajun Fries. This location is always quick. I like FGBF - it's a great burger, tastes fresh, not like a take out burger from those other places. The little single burger is plenty large enough for me and wth added grilled mushrooms and cheese, it's really nice. The fries are really good - and real potatoes! Not frozen, but fresh. The employees lack customer service and care. They rush you and then mess up your order. They always seem to make our burgers with a line of pink in it even when asked to cook it well done. I go here sometimes for lunch with coworkers and it's always crazy busy without fail. You usually need to be on the lookout for someone leaving their spot otherwise you'll be standing. The burgers are super good and the beef is really juicy, I'm a huge fan of their burgers. But the fries are just WAAAAAYYY too salty. Diondre was the absolute NICEST employee i've ever met. He greeted us with a huge smile and such a positive attitude in an extremely busy environment. He made sure our orders were accurate and was extremely precise while taking our order. I wish there was a person like diondre everywhere I go to get service! If anyone deserves a raise, it's him! The other employees were also very nice and some of the hardest workers i've ever seen in a "fast food" restaurant. My order came way quicker than i expected due to how busy it was inside. Not the best experience, the cashier after collecting my money started making my food with the same gloves. Of course I politely called her out on it. I asked her to change her gloves and start over. Not sure why she was making it anyway, seeing as it was multiple people on duty standing around and it wasn't busy by far. Manager was nice and polite which was a plus. 5 Guys huh? Must have been 1 culinary guy and 4 marketing majors. Although many people see to love 5 Guys, I come away with a "meh" feeling. My wife and I ordered cheese burgers and Cajun fries. Burger was juicy as advertised. Of course I loaded it up with all kinds of condiments. I give the place credit for that. .But it comes down to the basic bun and meat... it's blah. It's your average bun with patties that have absolutely no flavor. Every show that I watch on Food Network reminds me to "season your meat" if you want it to taste good, so I guess that 5 Guys has never check out the channel. As for seasoning, the Cajun fries are loaded!. Problem with the fries is although they are heavily seasoned, it's just "hot" and not flavorful. Your mouth will burn, but you never get the satisfying taste of a normal mix of Cajun spices. On top of that, the fries lack snap. They are greasy and limp overall. This is my second time to 5 Guys and I just don't care to eat there much anymore. For people who enjoy their 5 Guys food... GREAT... It's just not for me.
