It had been way too long since my last Five Guys run, and I was seriously craving one of their burgers. Then I came across an Uber Eats Buy One, Get One Free deal on cheeseburgers for just $13.06, and that was all the motivation I needed! I placed my order for pickup, and everything was ready right on time. As I headed out, I couldn't resist grabbing a couple of scoops of their complimentary roasted peanuts--such a simple touch, but it's part of the Five Guys experience. I also added a Little Cajun Fries, and they were the perfect side. Fresh-cut, generously seasoned with their signature Cajun spice, and as always, there were plenty of extra fries in the bag. Between the fries and the peanuts, you definitely won't leave hungry. The cheeseburgers were exactly what I remembered: fresh, juicy, and loaded with all the toppings I wanted. I went with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and jalapeños, and every bite was absolutely delicious. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the soft toasted bun held everything together. Five Guys has always been one of those places that consistently satisfies a burger craving, and this visit reminded me why. Great food, generous portions, quick pickup, and an awesome Uber Eats deal made it even better. If it's been a while since your last Five Guys burger, consider this your sign to treat yourself. Why must it be so addictive?! I came around 8 pm on a Friday night and it was a little busy with a few intramural ball players being in line. So the staff was working hard to catch up on shakes, let alone the burgers and fries. I probably had to wait 6-7 minutes before I could order. Cheeseburger was cooked spot on, cheese was melted. Cajun fries tasted delicious, could have been a bit crispier, but the fries are such high quality. And any place that has a Coke freestyle machine is A-OK with me! This Five Guys location is located in Apex, across the parking lot from the Apex Costco. I stopped by after shopping because I had a $10 credit and I was hungry. Upon walking in, the cashier looked bother to even greet me. Just like any other Five Guys, the prices are not cheap. They try to justify the price of their small burger by giving you a lot of fries to fill up on. However, that was not the case on that visit as my fry cup was not that full. The burger itself tasted good and the small amount of fries I had was nothing to write home about. Still, the cost was not worth it for that small burger. We usually love Five Guys and frequent the one in Cary near our home. This time we went to Costco and came to this apex location. Unfortunately this was probably the worst Five Guys I've been to. We were missing toppings on our burgers and our Cajun fries didn't even have salt on them. It's as if they took them out of the frier and put them in the bag. No seasoning, not even salt.. just bare fries. The burgers tasted underwhelming some how, again, maybe lack of seasoning. The fountain drink was even flavorless, just carbonated water. I noticed that the addition of cheese to either your "little burger" or "regular burger" will set you back eighty cents. That seems a bit high to me. Actually outrageously high......... Five Guys in Apex has great food and service, but the noise level is such that a calm, peaceful meal is impossible. Between the loud chatter between staff members, the loud screaming out of order numbers, and the extremely loud, obnoxious music, it's difficult to hold a conversation and enjoy their great food. It is a stressful environment to be sure. The noise level reading on my phone app was flashing "noisy restaurant" the entire time with a noise decibel level at 98 decibels...and we were sitting as far from the cooking/serving area as we could get. This location is great. I work for postmates and I've picked up orders from here on countless occasions. Every staff member has been so cool, courteous, and professional. I give them props. I had never actually tried their burger until today, and it was really good. I always worry as a delivery driver if the food will travel well, and this burger certainly did. I went too crazy with the toppings so I didn't get to enjoy the actual beef patty as much as I could have. Next time I'll tone it down a bit. I learned if you come by on a Saturday afternoon, when we couldn't get to the place we intended on dining at due to Peak Fest in Apex, this place is going to be jam packed. First time at this Five Guys location, which is in the same small strip as the Costco off Hwy. 64. If you've ever been to that Costco it's nuts no matter what day or time. They've crammed several restaurants into one section of the parking lot and I guess no one wanted the $1.99 hot dog and drink at Costco that afternoon because this location was wall to wall with peeps and crazy! Now that I've gotten that tip out of the way, which another diner verified (Saturday afternoons are packed), the ordering process went smoothly and as we waited for our food to come up we saw the employees keep tabs on the tables to keep them cleaned off so the constant onslaught of diners could sit and eat. Our food took a little longer than we expected, but considering the place was nearly full to capacity I guess they did okay. The burger and fries were Five Guys good and not greasy like the location closer to my home, which was nice for a change. Wish this one wasn't as far as I'd choose it over the one five minutes from my house any day! read more

Portion size was way off today! If you have ever walked into a Five Guys (anywhere in the country) you know the size of the amount of fries you receive is insane. It doesn't matter if you order the smallest or largest size, you get a ton of fries. Well, that did not occur today. I certainly appreciate consistency and this was far off. In fact, I ordered two large fries and although both seemed small, one was far worse than the other (see pictures). I e ordered regular sized in the past and received more than today. My first time at Five Guys. When I asked the clerk "How big is the cheeseburger?" He simply held his thumb and forefinger up with a 2-inch gap. Wouldn't it have been easier to just tell me it was a double burger? Or make it clear on the order board that the Little Burger was a single and the regular was a double I guess we should have asked more questions since the prices seemed so high. The large fries fed all three of us with at least as much as we ate left over!! The burgers were hot fresh and really good! The fries were tasty but limp and greasy. My biggest reason for my low rating was the price! One burger, two little burgers, one Lg. fry, and three drinks shouldn't cost this much unless I'm at a sit-down restaurant- not fast food. I hadn't been to a five guys since moving out here 4 years ago or so, and honestly, I would have to say the food was better than I remembered from when we had it back in WA. The burgers weren't salted way too much (as I remembered), and there were decent serving sizes. The ketchup situation was odd, and I guess a regular would figure out the little details about getting the sauces you need, etc. Getting a side of mayo here wasn't doable, shrug. Things were clean enough here too. The service was efficient - but not exceptional or friendly - efficient. People were doing their jobs, but perhaps not necessarily having a good time. What I didn't remember and perhaps it had changed in the years since being at a five guys is the price! It seemed a lot more expensive than I remembered. For the same price, I prefer Corbett's to this spot. Both make a decent burger, but the atmosphere isn't as "fast food" at Corbett's and the quality and flavors seem a bit better there. I wouldn't say five guys is bad, it was a-ok... just for the price, I'd rather go somewhere else. Those who love this chain and don't mind the price will really like this Five Guys! read more

If you haven't been to Five Guys before, you're going to have a life changing experience. No joke. You can always try dipping your fries in malt vinegar first and then the spices...this is my fav combo. For you milkshake lovers, their shakes are darn good. I hated it! My family and I love Five Guys' fries, especially with Cajun seasoning. When we went to Pine Plaza in Apex, I had to wait three minutes for the people to come out from the back. I ordered regular fries, which looked like a small cup in a huge empty brown bag. I had to search for the fries, which were hiding at the bottom of the bag...so disappointing. Great place for a cheese burger craving, we've been going there for years now. It's my favorite burger joint and the fries are the best, and they give you a generous amount. Their costumer service is great, the employees are very friendly, you get greeted as soon as you walk in, with great smiles and attitude. While we were still eating; some costumers left and one of the employees came and made sure to clean all tables which is great. I know it's a little expensive for a fast food joint but the food is fresh, not frozen, so it's going to be more pricy than other places who have frozen meats. read more
