Very friendly staff here. There's a lot of options. One thing to remember is the default burger is a double-burger, and it's a lot to eat. You can ask for a single patty burger. There's no option for rareness; all burgers are well done. The burgers and cheese are higher quality than other fast food places. The French fries are really super. You've gotta have a strawberry shake because they have real strawberries. This is in the Galleria Mall. The Mall is serviced by several bus lines that go into the property. I've never had five guys but from what I've heard both good and bad I decided to give in while at the mall and give it a go. First impression was it's quite clean and everyone was busy cranking orders out. We placed our order and kept it real simple, cheeseburger with onions and pickles, and a hot dot with ketchup. Food came out after about a 10minute wait and I gotta say it. I agree with the little yelper on this... why would you cut a hotdog in half and split a bun to serve it like a sandwich. That is not a hotdog to any child. Luckily she did eat it because seven dollars for a hotdog is pretty outrageous as was the 11 Ish dollars for a cheeseburger. It was rather bland and definitely not what I had expected. From what I heard the patties were seasoned very well, and every bite was flavorful. This was the opposite experience.. Stopped in to grab something to eat while I was at the mall. Service was great. The cashier was very friendly and very helpful. I ordered a cheeseburger, french fries and a drink. Both soda machines were out of the only four flavors I would drink so I ended up going back and swapping it out for a milkshake. The cashier apologize and gave me the milkshake for the same price. My original plan did not pan out yesterday, and I ended up ordering from the Five Guys app in the parking lot of the original place. As soon as I ordered I called this Five Guys location to tell them I would soon arrive for curbside pick up and to please start my fries. I waited outside the Five Guys for about 10 minutes, I was early, as the original place was 2 minutes away from Five Guys. They were pretty hopping last night, as 3 or 4 cars pulled up while I was there and went inside to get their order. My hamburger was topped with the items I asked for and the Cajun fries were great. I wish they could keep the curbside pickup even after the pandemic. Sat outside patiently when the manager came out, thanked me for waiting and brought me a tub of peanuts while I waited. Jacob went above and beyond there and throughout my visit actually. I've dated a lot more than 5 Guys, but if guys were as talented as these burgers I'd never date one again. One of the worst chains imaginable because it is just so overrated and I just don't get it. On a recent visit to the location on McKinley, I noticed a new menu item. It was called the veggie sandwich. I don't know if it is totally new or just new to me. I decided to give it a shot and it knocked my socks off! This is a great meatless option. It is cooked on the same grill as the burgers so it might not be a completely vegan option. It comes topped with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and tomato but of course the entire free topping list is also available. Without a doubt, your hamburgers are some of the best. I'm going to miss them. $12.49 for a burger is pretty pricey. What's even worse, is $5.19 for a small french fry. I wish the mall had a bit more healthy quick food options, but since they don't I always find myself here. Which isn't a bad thing because I like five guys. What sets this place apart is how nice and friendly all of the employees are. Nothing turns me off from a business like cranky employees, but every time I have come here, not only are the employees pleasant, I actually notice how friendly they are. Not in an annoying overly perky fake retail way, just in a nice genuine way. And if I'm noticing that, then they are going above and beyond. I don't know what Five Guys is doing to make their employees happy, but it seems to be working. Not much to say about the food, it's the same as every other Five Guys. Man, this place is such a guilty pleasure that I try to limit my indulgences in. They make such good burgers and their Cajun fries are just amazing. You order your burger with any number of hot or cold toppings available without charge. Cheese is not one of those free ones though btw. Your order is cooked fresh and pretty quickly and there's plenty of seating including some outdoor space for nicer days. Their fries are something else with a cup and an additional cup of fries poured into the bag after that! Again those Cajun fries are so good and the burgers are just plain delicious. I don't understand how their french fries are this good. Perfect flavor, perfect crisp, perfect salt. Their burgers are also incredibly delicious- and filling. You can easily split a small fries with a friend there's always a ton. I always get a bacon cheeseburger with onions. As far as fast food goes, these burgers are by far the best. It's hardly even fast food, since everything is technically made to order. I love that the traditional burgers come with two patties. The toppings that come "all the way" do not come at any extra charge, and it's always pretty much the same every single time. It's unfortunate that Five Guys used 100% peanut oil to fry their fries in, but it's a plus that they make it a point to make that widely known to those with allergies, like my boyfriend. If I'm ever in the mood for a burger on the go, I prefer to pop inside of a Five Guys for a few moments rather than swing through a drive through. The staff is energetic and entertaining to watch. They work together well as a team, and it seemed like they were enjoying their jobs. They were going as quickly and efficiently as they can given the number of orders. The fries are great -- fresh, hot, and loaded with cajun spice. Eye wateringly spicy. I also ordered a little cheeseburger. This is where the wheels fell off for me. Missing was the juicy greaseburger that I am used to getting from Five Guys. The patty was thin and dry. This is probably my favorite place to get a quick burger in Buffalo. I will start off by saying their menu can seem a little misleading for those who have never been to Five Guys before. Their "little hamburger/cheeseburger" is a burger with one patty, and their regular burgers have two. More often than not, the little burgers are more than enough for one person, if you throw in all the toppings and extras. Fries are usually the same way -- you might order a medium, but they also toss a good amount of fries into your bag (so it's basically a large.) Long story short, if you don't want to fill yourself up, SIZE DOWN!! I'm generally easy to please when it comes to a burger. Just give me my onions and my mayo, and I'm happy! Five Guys' burgers tend to be a little on the sloppy side, but maybe I'm just a fan of getting messy when I eat! (Usually, I eat it out of the tin foil it comes in -- fairly convenient, and it won't fall apart in your hands.) I went with a "little cheeseburger" and small fries...and it was plenty of food- in fact I couldn't even finish. I was looking for a quick bite at the mall that wasn't just food court food so I decided to try Five Guys. Walking in I was a little put off by the peanut shells all over the floor, until I realized they were a free extra and also they were swept up pretty promptly while I was waiting for my order. The staff was really friendly and I really enjoyed picking my toppings for the burger. I opted for just a burger and milkshake even though they seem to be known for their fries. The milkshake was ready first and had a great consistency and flavor. The burger was juicy and well done. The bacon was really crispy. Everything melded together well and it was a satisfying burger. Okay, this place is really good.... I am a french fry lover, and I heard a lot about this place and the fry portions they give.... SO MANY. I can not eat all my fries, and that is hard for me to not accomplish ;) I also love the peanuts they have for guests to snack on while they wait for their order. Funniest part of my visit - watching a Five Guys employees eat her Moe's Southwest Grill taco salad for dinner in the dining area. Burgers are always cooked to perfection with lots of free and generous toppings. I always get A1 steak sauce on my Little Cheeseburger (one pattie, rather than two). Well.... I've eaten at "Five Guys" in other cities (NYC, Chicago, Washington DC) and found them to be mighty tasty. I ate at one in Williamsville and, while the food tasted pretty good, the results (while possibly coincidental) were less than desirable. Last night I decided to give 'em another go..... honestly not because I was really that into it, but because the friend I was eating with had yet to experience the mystique and was quite jazzed at the opportunity. This franchise location is pretty small, but there are a couple of tables out in the mall giving an almost picnic-like atmosphere..... almost. And, the workers are very smiley here. I like that :-) While the French fries were DELICIOUS, the burger just WASN'T ALL THAT GREAT. Yeah sure.... you can choose your toppings.... But that can be done at just about any burger place. This just isn't worth all the hype.... or the price. Firstly, I walked in thinking this place would be run by 5 male employees, but sadly the titled of the shop didn't have any significance to the operation of the venue. Wow, I cannot believe that there are so many 5 Guys Burger and Fries in the country and has still not gone under. The food was horrible. This place feels like they don't believe in the power of salt. The burger was the blandest thing I've ever eaten. The bread was soggy, the jalapenos weren't even cooked. They didn't even have any salt or hot sauce lying around for the mercy of tongue. Don't get me started on the fries. Cajun fries my a**. There was absolutely no difference in taste, apart from it being extremely powdered. I usually don't enjoy writing on the downside but I had to say somethings bout this place since the place charges so much money for fries, burger, and a drink. $11, seriously!? I could have gotten a better tasting fries and burger and drink at McD or Wendy's or BK for less than $5, and they would even taste better. If you have the money to spend and enjoy bland burgers, then 5 Guys Burgers is your haven. If you have any respect for your tongue, you should try anything else. read more

OK since my original review I have gone back a few times. Main reason is I found out that if I order the small cheeseburger and small fries, it's only about $8 and that is still plenty of food even for a big eater like myself. Also I usually order online for lunch as I have limited time to get their and back. So far they are pretty efficient with this as they already have the burger done and throw the fries in the fryer when I get there so that they still come out hot and fresh. I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes usually. The small burger is the same thing as the regular except one patty instead of two, provides for less mess and is a bit easier to eat. It's a decent burger for the price. Then the small fries come with a tiny cup but they throw more loose in the bag than the cup even holds. The fries are definitely delicious every time. While nothing mind blowing, I'd take this over any of the Big 3 fast food burgers and fries for sure. read more

Average five guys with all the normal things EXCEPT they are a little more pricey than the normal five guys which is why I gave the rating as a four star rather than a 5. Their service is also pretty fast surprisingly to have so many customers in the mall setting. I think this place runs on the fact that they have unlimited toppings. Otherwise, it's pretty much like any other burger out there, maybe even blander than other burgers out there. I think since the last time I've had Five Guys in Saratoga Springs, Five Guys took a really hard fall. There was really nothing special about the burger and I didn't feel the surge of passion for a delicious burger like I did back then. Sigh :( Ah and their regular fries are not good - not good at all. They're super soggy and bland and I do not like! But if you are bored waiting for the burger like I was for like 20 minutes, they have these super cool soda machines where you pick a soda and then there are different flavors. Like Sprite can go to Sprite Raspberry, Sprite Orange, Sprite Lime.
