I'm a fan for sure. I love the Coke machine. It's cool that they had peanuts in line. It's a tad bit pricey for fast food. That was my only issue. The fries were good and there were a ton of them. I just had regular fresh cut fries not the cajun. I am so glad I asked the difference between the regular and little burger. The little was more than enough!! As much as I distrust chain restaurants, Five Guys is (honestly) probably the best place to get a burger and fries in Hyde Park. The food is the same as a Five Guys anywhere, but to be fair they are probably one of the better fast food chains out there - the burgers actually taste like burgers and not ketchup sandwiches, and I've never been served stale fries. The portions are huge, however - the small burger size is more than enough for me and there is no need at all to order a large fry size unless you are sharing with a large number of people as they almost always overfill the cups so that you have extra fries sitting in your bag. read more

It's a Five Guys and it's as good as any other Five Guys I've been too. I can't imagine having to be that friendly for an entire workday shift but they somehow manage to do it. I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered delivery via their website (not even a third party, their OWN WEBSITE!!!) for lunch WHILE WORKING AT A HOSPITAL and waited 1.5 hrs with NO update! I called the store where they said "call doordash, call postmates, check uber eats and grubhub and see if they have your order". If i order DIRECTLY through five guy's website, they should know who will be delivering my food!!! It was ready at 1:45pm and they told me at 2:30pm that I could "come drive to pick it up." I said "I work in a hospital, I cannot just leave patients" and then later suggested that "well if it's close you can walk" !!!?????? Then they promised me if it were ever to get picked up by a delivery service they'd make a fresh meal. Sure enough at 3:15pm, postmates shows up with my order that was ready at 1:45pm. Cold, shameful, inedible food. The phone call with the manager when he told me "well you'll have to figure this out." I BETTER get a refund because I rejected the 2 hour old food. There is nothing special about this location or the food they offer. For the price, it's definitely not worth a return visit to this location or any other location. Single purge is really small and was offered to me in what looked like a used piece of tinfoil. You get a lot of fries, but I would take quality over quantity if they are going to offer greasy/soggy fries. The only plus was the vanilla milk shake. The burger joint at Point 1900 is so much better and you get a great burger for the $$ your spending. I would even go to Leona's over this place. read more

It's Five Guys delicious. If you have been to Five Guys then you know what to expect. If not, then you should try them out at least once and this location is a great place to start. They only cook burgers well done and no matter what toppings you get be prepared to get messy. This location has a great group of people, very friendly. My orders are always correct. The employees here are great!!! Friendly and helpful. Always tons of peanuts to keep you occupied while you wait for your food. I give them at 96 percent on cleanliness. (I'm anal) I rated it four stars because sometimes my shakes are not as good as other times and it has happened more than once. Depends on who makes it I guess. No other complaints. I just watch a guy taking out the registers over the grill dripping over the meat, not cleaning out or removing everything from the grill and serving it to customers, my sandwich finish in the trash, wait time for a sandwich and fries took about 20 min, people going in the back room with gloves on and returning back making sandwiches. Schererville location - service is great and so are the burgers. They are worth the price. You get to see your unfrozen real beef burger cooked in front of you to order. My husband and I get small burgers and share a regular fry. For the person complaining about peanut oil, research (FDA) shows that most peanut oil does no contain allergens, but I know it's better to be safe. I'm sorry you have an allergy. It's amazing that some airlines still serve peanuts. Where could you go if you had a reaction? I'm from Georgia and I like the peanuts in the restaurant. Opened yesterday. I went for for lunch on a Tuesday. Very busy. I ordered small Cajun fries and mini bacon and cheeseburger. The mini burger was quite large (just as well I did not order the large size). Everything was delicious. My only gripe is other customers who order, then sit away from the counter and do not hear when their order number is called out. I didn't envy the counter guy who was calling out numbers for these "slow" customers. I'll happily go back though. Not sure what the deal is with the other reviewer complaining about peanuts (with their over the top "allergy warning"). He could have figured that out in advance by visiting their website and gone somewhere less tasty (but allergy conscious). read more

If that place in Beverly (Top Notch) is good by Chicago standards, then 5 guys is great. I have eaten at both places several times and there is no question that 5 guys gets the nod. Been wanting to try Five Guys for a while and I must say it was quite delicious!!! Had a "small" burger with everything plus jalapenos and the regular sized cajun fries. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting but I look forward to polishing it off later! The fries were crispy yet tender and oh so hot and fresh! The cajun spice was so good I would go there just for the fries!! So glad I decided to not be a "cheapskate" and try them instead of going home and making my own! The service was good and the workers were very friendly. There was even a nice young lady who grabbed a bag for me to put my complementary peanuts in as she watched me get ready to dump them in the bag with my other food! The Peanuts are also quite tasty I might add!! I'm not a huge peanut lover and I couldn't stop eating them. The one thing that I think would make this place really rock would be if they had a real "veggie burger" for the non meat eaters out there. I was really addicted to this place until they kept screwing up my order! I am a faithful patron, but it bothers me that every time a place a order (to go), when I get home my order is not correct. That steams me. So now, I feel like they will never get my order right! If I order Cajun fries, I expect to have CAJUN FRIES! This is my first visit and the first time I have ever thrown away Fries. That is how greasy and undercooked they were. All was not lost, I order a single burger and got a double burger. I wonder what they would have given me if I ordered a double burger. I notice a group of employees behind the counter clowning around.
