This place is a neighborhood staple. It's a must stop. Every flavor of Italian Ice is the best flavor! You will have to stand outside while ordering, but it's a part of the process.

Can't do summertime CHI without a visit to Ferro's for Italian ice. Super fast service at walk up window . I had the 16 oz lemon & Mango. Couldn't really taste the mango but the total thing was greattt. I was late to my next stop because I couldn't put the spoon down. Just GO!

Ferro's Italian Ice is a Chicago gem! I got half orders of lemon-strawberry and strawberry-mango Italian ice both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly sweet with a smooth texture. These are the only flavors available in winter, but they have even more options in the summer, and I can't wait to try them. I also grabbed a pizza puff, which took me back to my childhood like a bigger, fresher version of Totino's pizza rolls. The inside of the place has that classic Chicago vibe, serving up staples like Italian beef and BBQ (though I didn't try those this time). Great food, great service definitely worth a visit!

Ferros will forever be an Italian ice classic! This time my boyfriend and I decided to share a strawberry & pineapple and it was amazing as always. I saw they had a cucumber lime that I wish I could've gotten to try but was out of season now. I'm coming for it next year! Haha They are always quick and easy and their outside fast window is super convenient.

Got myself an Italian beef with sweet peppers and mozzarella cheese and order french fries. Also get the mango Italian ice so delicious with real pieces of fruit in every bite this is definitely a great spot.

Ok so was driving to Michigan and saw this beef sign. Seen it for years and finally decided to give it a try. Sorry no pictures of food because little did I know you cannot eat in the place. There are no seats and signs alll over that says must eat on patio. If looking for an Italian beef to go then maybe give this place a try, however in Bridgeport there are many options just blocks away that allow inside seating. The restaurant staff is very friendly and courteous however it looks like "COVId" safe bulletproof glass so with the face masks on and the glass, you can hardly hear them. Beef was ok, It wasn't bad, it just wasn't a "Wow" they have really good beef joint feeling. Sorry no pictures of the food because it was wrapped tightly so the juices didn't leak all over the car .

I've been here a couple of times already just never reviews it for some reason. I've haven't tried their food here yet, but exclusively come here for their Italian ice. It used to be cash only, but now take credit cards. I'm not exactly sure If that will be a permanent change, or I'd they will go back to cash only once this bull crap is all over. They only had two flavors when I went, and to be honest that's all I need. Strawberry and lemonade. The Italian ice here is a very delicious, not too sweet and made with real fruit. I used to think this place was pricier than others, but you actually get a lot for the price that you pay so it is as expensive as I thought. If you haven't tried their Italian ice, do so soon because you're definitely missing out!

Hard to describe but you just know you're at a very important place but that doesn't take itself too seriously. There are burgers that are good, burgers that are great, and then there's Au Cheval. I went in with pretty ridiculous expectations considering this place has been called one of the best burger spots in the world...and somehow, the burger still delivered. That's rare. The patties were insanely juicy and perfectly cooked, with that beautiful crispy, caramelized edge you want from a great griddle burger. The combination of the melted cheese, creamy sauce, onions, pickles and that ridiculously buttery brioche bun was borderline unfair. Rich, messy, salty, savory and completely indulgent in the best possible way. And that bun deserves its own mention. Soft enough to absorb all that glorious burger juice without completely falling apart. The whole thing is constructed like someone actually understands what makes a burger great. Is it the best burger I've ever had? I DONT FUCKING KNOW. but I completely understand why people put Au Cheval in the conversation for best burger in America, if not the world. The hype is real. This is a fucking burger. 9.7/10

The burger had a lot of toppings, including a sauce and pickled onions and a very good amount of pickles. The Caesar salad honestly was not good, tasted very artificial and I probably would only try their sandwiches or appetizers if I went back. The truffle fries didn't have a strong truffle flavor, but I like the shoe string shape and they come with ketchup and mayo. But overall, a cute place, an easy walk in and a good patio!

There is outdoor seating under a pergola lined with semi-private planters, while the inside features a bar, high tops, low tops, and large booths. The music was upbeat, giving the space an elevated lounge vibe that pairs really well with the upholstered booths and vintage industrial design. I ordered the Wolf Burger, which is a whopping three-patty burger. That first bite was juicy and pure bliss--a total explosion of great flavors. It was a little messy (like all burgers with an egg), but the extra liquid was perfect for balancing the density of such a meaty burger. The soft bun soaked in a lot of those juices with each bite, intensifying the flavor as I ate more. The fries were thin and on the greasier side--not my personal favorite, but they worked alright as a vehicle for the sauce. Speaking of which, the chili aioli served with the fries was fantastic. We also got the mac and cheese, which hit a great balance between rich and creamy without feeling excessively wet. The boat it came in was a bit small, making it a little messy to scoop out with the serving spoon, but it was soooo good. Overall, it is absolutely a fantastic neighborhood place for comfort food and drinks with friends in a great space!
