The service is excellent and very consistent! The staff from greeter to waiters and busboys are very congenial and always asking if u need anything else. We also love that they are bilingual! TVs were on so good ambiance. We continue to have sticker shock as a regular breakfast cost us 70 bucks! Maybe if the coffee was included on the price, it would make a little more sense?

My sister treated me to breakfast for my birthday on 7/31, and it was my first time visiting this location. I was really excited to try it, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. When my coffee arrived, I noticed that the mug was dirty. I asked the server if I could please get a new cup of coffee, but we had already been waiting about 20 minutes just to be helped. From the beginning, the wait to place our food order was extremely long, and our drinks also took quite a while. After finally receiving my coffee, having to wait even longer for a clean cup was frustrating and honestly felt like a waste of valuable time. My sister is pregnant and was with her 2-year-old, so they were both hungry. We didn't want to leave because we figured that once our food order was placed, the food would come out fairly quickly since the hardest part was finally done. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but the overall wait time was just too much. What was supposed to be a nice birthday breakfast turned into a frustrating experience. I'm disappointed because I was genuinely excited to try this location, but based on this experience, I'm not sure I would return.

This is a pretty nice area. The parking lot is shared so there is more than enough parking. It's also free. We ordered the golden state benedict and the sweet trio. The food portions were large. I really liked the combination of the hollandaise sauce and sricha on the poached eggs. For the sweet trio, I would say the tiki toast was the best. I'm more of a savory person when it comes to breakfast. The strawberry banana smoothie was good. Our server was attentive and friendly. Prices were good. We came on a Thursday morning and it was moderately busy.

While I walked in not expecting too much, I walked out beyond satisfied. If my expectations were higher when I arrived would I have been disappointed? No, I think I still would have been satisfied and after all these years (and me staying away for a long while) made the experience that much better. I should note, the bloody that you see in my picture was not made with vodka as they don't have a full liquor license and was probably the weakest part of the meal. The sweet sampler breakfast was not my savory norm but was damn delicious. I'm grateful that Broken Yolks are so accessible in SD and that I can find one just about anywhere in town!

Great food, great service, and a nice ambiance! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and while we loved the food, we adored our server even more! She was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable! Thank you, Yessi!

It was alright. Service was alright. Food was alright. Nothing to write home about and a non-repeat place for me. Even my coffee... My 1st cup tasted good, the next cup tasted burnt. Didn't see the waitress for another 30 minutes so I couldn't get a change out.

The host had a poor attitude and initially told us they were no longer seating guests outside. However, there were already people dining outside before we were seated, and they continued seating other guests there throughout our meal. We had to ask several times before she finally gave us an outdoor table. The food was good, though, and the waiter who served us was friendly and attentive, which helped make the experience much better.

We tried a bunch of items: latte, caramel macchiato, açaí bowl, Japanese souffle pancakes, Tokyo egg drop sandwich, chashu eggs Benedict with a pancake. The portions were generous and while all the food was good the standout was the benedict. The hollandaise was super bright and had a great lemon flavor--much better than any I've had elsewhere! The eggs were perfectly cooked and the chashu was delicious and well caramelized and even after sharing with my kid there was plenty. We regretted not getting the house potatoes with it as they looked amazing at the other tables. The pancake was very good though-fluffy and flavorful. The egg drop sandwich was also really good with super fluffy bread and tons of good filling. My kid enjoyed everything which was a boon. The Japanese souffle pancakes were fine but not as stand out as the other dishes. I have tried making them myself and had them at morning glory and such and they are often too eggy for my liking. Oh, we tried to order the ube pancake but they were out so we will have to get it next time. We will come back soon for more Benedict's and those potatoes. Yum!!

Rude staff and a very disappointing experience…read more My friend ordered a Lotus frappe, and unfortunately, it was not good at all. It tasted more like crushed cookies than an actual frappe, and she was literally chewing on pieces of ice. Since we've ordered the Lotus frappe here before and it was perfectly fine, we figured this was simply an issue with how the drink was made this time. I politely asked if the drink could be remade as a caramel frappe instead, since we knew that one was good. Instead, we were told, "We can't do that, you would have to pay." I'm sorry, but why would we pay again for a drink that was made poorly the first time? We weren't asking for a free drink just because we changed our minds. We were asking for the original drink to be corrected because it was genuinely not drinkable. What really made the situation worse was being told, "We're not a chain like Starbucks to just remake drinks... this will go to waste." Respectfully, if the concern is that the drink will "go to waste," perhaps the better solution would be to make sure the drink is prepared correctly in the first place. I understand that businesses don't want to waste product, but making a customer pay for another drink after receiving one that was poorly made doesn't exactly feel like great customer service either. I'm not expecting the "customer is always right" treatment, and I'm certainly not trying to be difficult. But when a customer genuinely cannot enjoy what they were served, the reasonable thing would be to offer a solution rather than essentially tell them, "Sorry, pay again." We've had good experiences here before, which is why this was especially disappointing. Hopefully this was just an off day, because the way this was handled left a much worse taste than the frappe did.

After my friend shared this with me, I was determined to support this business because I couldn't believe people would do that to a business for simply thanking a young man for all that he did during his 31 years on Earth. Despite Invita being far from where I live, I've been blessed to visit their Rancho Santa Fe location on two occasions and both times, I was served delicious coffee and received outstanding customer service. I'm giving Invita 4.5 stars because on my second visit, I ordered a featured coffee, but decided to change it up because it wasn't too flavorful. There are two Invita Cafe locations in San Diego with their Rancho Santa Fe spot and their other location in Carlsbad. As I indicated above, my first visit was the Saturday after word got out that people were disparaging the business and it was jam packed with customers out the door. The Rancho Santa Fe cafe is one of several businesses in Cielo Village. This village can be reached utilizing Del Dios Highway, which is a scenic route surrounded by a lake, mountains, and foliage. There is plenty of parking at this small outdoor strip mall. Invita Cafe is across from Beyond Pilates and Q1 Real Estate. Nuevo is also located here and Invita is next to Goli Pizza Eatery. The coffee shop has brick on the outside and there are outdoor tables and chairs to enjoy your coffee and food. After being in the long line that first Saturday, I finally got to see the inside and the color scheme is black and white. There are accent pics, decorative lighting, and a corner where there's merchandise you can purchase. It's a small space with counter/stool seating. The employees behind the register were diligent handling the crowd seamlessly and they provided friendly customer service. The two times I visited Invita Cafe Rancho Santa Fe were on Saturday. The first time customers were lined out of their door and the second time, I visited at 7:30am, which was 30 minutes after they opened. Both visits, I ordered coffee, but besides coffee, Invita's menu consists of tea, wellness drinks, breakfast items, salad, flatbreads, toast, and sandwiches. When I return, I'll make sure to try their food, but on my two visits, I had to try their coffee since Invita is a coffee shop. During my first visit, I ordered a white mocha with two pumps of hazelnut. After my first sip, I could tell Invita uses quality coffee beans because the coffee was tasty, the hazelnut made it flavorful, it was rich, and it seriously was an enjoyable cup of Joe. During my second visit, I tried one of their featured coffees that was displayed on their counter, but after taking a few sips, I informed the young lady who made it that it wasn't flavorful. I asked her for a white mocha with two pumps of hazelnut, but this time, a young man remade it and it was as delicious as my drink when I first visited Invita. During each of my visits, the staff placed a "Thank You Charlie Kirk" sticker on my coffee cups and I really appreciated Invita's gratitude to the founder of Turning Point USA. Invita Cafe is definitely out of the way from where I live, but I'll make the sacrifice to support a business who recognizes the impact Charlie Kirk had on Americans and the youth of America. Besides the nice sentiment of appreciation for Charlie, I'll return to Invita because they serve really satisfying coffee.

Becky and I are not well versed in the world of fancy coffee, so we typically rely on those we are with to provide recommendations. Saturday we were on our own. We wanted a late afternoon pick-me-up and Kaffee Meister is a very short distance from our house. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the pleasant young woman behind the counter (I did not catch her name). I asked for two caramel iced coffees. She very nicely and patiently explained to me the different options of my generic "iced coffees" term. Lattes, cold brews, espressos, etc. Her recommendation was Caramel Frappes, so that is what I ordered. One with whipped cream (for Becky) and mine without. As I waited, I looked around the room. It was really cool. Very homey, neighborhood cafe vibe. A few tables and a couch and comfy chairs along with some tables and chairs dotted the room. The room was really nicely decorated. I liked the spiral staircase shelving. They have some outdoor seating as well. In addition to coffees, they offer a food menu. Pastries, bagels, açaí bowls, sandwiches and the like. I drive by Kaffee Meister almost daily and often I will see that they have live music which is cool. I waited maybe three or four minutes for my name to be called, and I was handed my two frappes. I like a simple cup o' Joe. Black, no sugar, no sweeteners. At home I drink Kirkland brand ground coffee from a drip coffee maker. That said, I really enjoyed the Caramel Frappe. It was not too sweet and retained subtle coffee flavor. Becky very much enjoyed hers too. Neither of us had ever had a frappe before. We were surprised by the milkshake-like creamy texture. They provided the perfect pick-me up we were looking for. About 17 bucks after tip. We'd return for sure.
