We've gotten take out from here a couple of times before we play Bingo at the Viejas Bingo Hall. They don't have a huge menu but what they do have is interesting and delicious. All the burgers come with Nicky's Sauce, Cheese and Grilled Onions. I got the BLT Cheeseburger, Hubs for the Rajas Burger which has Lemon Grilled Onions and Poblanos Chiles. We both got Crinkle Cut Fries. Burgers are a good size and we got plenty of Fries. Service has always been friendly. Yesterday the person taking our order had me look at the screen to make sure everything was correct. It was a bit of a wait to get our food but not unreasonable. I did notice the person before me didn't get all of his food at the same time. They should work on that. This was our first time here, party of 5. We ordered the chicken sandwich, a chicken sandwich combo, a pastrami burger special that was advertised, chili cheese fries, strawberry shake and two sodas. The guy at the counter seemed disinterested that we were there and when I ordered the chili cheese fries, he made the comment "Everyone is taking all my chili", which told me 1. It was probably good and 2. He's rude because, hello, if you know it's good, make more! I'll tell you as a self- proclaimed chili cheese fries expert, they absolutely were delicious. The portion was huge for the price and I took the leftovers home. Everyone else said their food was delicious, as well, and would return. Maybe dude was just having an off day. The food was out quick, very fresh and everything was in generous proportion (plenty of bacon on the burger)! I had the triple BLT and their rendition of 'animal' fries... This place was absolutely disgusting, from the front counter service all the way down to the food. If I could give zero stars I would. The counter clerk was rude and unfriendly, she has no business working in the service industry. Spent over $35 for 2 burgers, chili and fries. The chili looked like dog food out of a can, the burgers were a weird dark color, the fries tasted like they had been previously cooked and thrown back in the fryer, the bun was completely falling apart. Walked in and it felt like a ghost town with the floor so sticky. The woman taking my order was rude and her co-worker was sitting on a bucket just judging us. Ordered a burger with "grilled onion" but the onion was barely grilled. Smelled like onions for about an hour even after washing my hands numerous times. The burger was very sloppy nothing like the pictures. After a failed attempt to eat the burger it went everywhere but my mouth a family came in and ordered food there was a language barrier. When their food was ready the man let the worker know he doesnt eat meat and didnt want the burger. Soooo gross! I got a Wild West burger and a dirty fries. I expected the fries to have a chopped up burger on top but it was a solid burger patty. Ok weird but whatever. Then the patty wasn't done like a normal smashed burger. One side gets the grill the other looks unseasoned and almost boiled meat look. Really weird. I rolled the patty to the side and ate the fries. Regular fries with pickles, sauce and grilled chopped onions. The plate was super salty. At this point I was disappointed but didn't want to waste food so I just picked at it and it seemed to get saltier and saltier. Everything was super salty- the pickles, the fries even the sauce. Then when I could see the bottom of the container I saw a pile of salt like someone poured salt over the whole thing. Super gross. Stopped eating the fries to try the burger. I took pics to post on their google page and they don't even have one which is super weird. Ok now the burger....The burger bun wasn't toasted or anything so the top one did that thing where it smashes into the grease and the bottom one got soggy from condensation in the container. Gross but whatever. The bacon wasn't crispy it was very fatty and again the half grilled smash burger patty with a boiled top again. The onion rings in the burger were decent so I'll give them that. I didn't finish the burger and I'm a person who can literally live off burgers. I think I've had in n out 3-4 times with week already and it's only Wednesday. It's hard to screw up a burger... The cashier was nice so I guess that justifies the one star I'm obligated to give but I'd really give it zero stars and hate that we wasted money on this. I wouldn't normally go this in depth but since I'm already reviewing the restaurant itself was also super dirty. It was kinda gross standing inside and looking around. The door itself and entryway is literally covered in grime. We really wanted to try it so I tried to ignore how gross and trick myself that the kitchen was clean. We waited outside and ate outside to not have to see anything. All in all really bad experience and we definitely won't be going there again. Absolutely appalling experience. We came here expecting a decent meal, but what we got was a complete disaster. a red-headed staff member in a flannel shirt who identified himself as a "sean" not only acted disturbingly unprofessional but also spit in my food. When I confronted him about it, things escalated and mumbled UNGODLY words under his breath about my 7 year old daughter. I am native and live on the reservation, and this is outrageous. I expected better seeing as a few staff members are ALSO native. I honestly can't believe this person is employed here. Completely unacceptable behavior. It was a Wednesday 5/7, and the restaurant closes at 7 pm. We got here at 6. Also called about 4 times to place an order over the phone. No one picked up. As soon as I went to open the door, I noticed it was locked, so I peeked inside. I saw two younger brunettes, that looked like they were snacking, noticing me and run to the back. The cook/cleaner saw them run to the back and continued to do his work. He looked at us, but did not open the door or explain why they were closing early... I knocked but everyone ignored. I got the double BLT with fries and it was sooooo good! Exactly what I would want from a smash burger joint. Thin, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, smash sauce was on point! Also the fries! I'm usually not a crinkle cut fry fan but they were fried to perfection! I like salty fries but they don't really come salted which is good for the people that don't like salty fries.
