Man! I used to love Five Guys...and I had such a craving for a burger and fries, but this fell way short. Maybe it's this location? Maybe I just remember 5 guys being better but I don't really have anything good to say. The burger was OK at best and I swear my tomato had been frozen. And the fries were awful - I don't think they had the oil high enough - just greasy, soggy potatoes. I mean a solid fry would have saved the meal a bit. Cleanliness is an issue too. I think they might wipe down the tables once a day so if you come in the afternoon or evening you won't find a clean table to sit at - better just grab your food and go... read more

Some reason, we don't frequent Five Guys as much as the other burger establishments. But sure am glad to revisit this experience as it was delicious! The menu is not extensive, but the options are just enough to have a pleasant dining experience. The made-to-order burgers are tasty with many options for toppings. I opted for mushrooms and jalapenos, which hit the spot! The fries are very generous even for the smallest option. Add a little malt vinegar and it was perfect! This location is very friendly and the service is fast. There were plenty of seats available and parking is shared among the shopping center. Will definitely be back for more! Enjoy! read more

Restaurant is clean; well-maintained, nice atmosphere. I had a bad Five-Guys Burger here and a bad experience, both instances unique to this store. I like my burgers "messy," which means extra lettuce, onions, tomato, healthy stuff; while ordering, I joke with the cashier making a facial and hand gesture of a messy burger and expect some humor in the display. This particular cashier had no humor, and when I got the burger, it was like too many others, slight in portions of all condiments - 1 small leaf of lettuce, 3 squished sliced pickles, 1 jalapeno slice, slight mayonnaise, no onion. They seem to be counting the pennies at this store. This overpriced burger cost $10.31. I have attached a picture of a smaller Wendy's burger, given the same "messy" description, and I found it a value at $3.99. This Five-Guys burger was a bad value and lacked what I asked for. As I was leaving, I felt obliged to share my opinion with the manager, and she argued as if to "win," that her employees needed to hear the word "extra" to correctly service the order. I was asking for no renumeration, but expected a "thank you, and sorry you did not enjoy your meal," but what I heard was "attitude" and "push back" that this "skimpy" burger at $10.31 had the standard portions of condiments. This is the most expensive burger in this area; one of the worst; with unfriendly service. There are other Five-Guys that do offer a superior product that deserve your business. By the way, the standard at fast-food restaurants seems to offer internet, but Five-Guys does not. By the way, a regular drink is $3.59, higher than standard, and water is served in a small .5 oz cup. After a $10.31 burger, I want a water-cup that services the meal. Ordered 2 cheese burgers. One only mayo and the other one was only tomato, lettuce, mayo and ketchup. My burger with mayo was fine but they put pickles on my fiancées burger. She very sensitive to sulfite so she absolutely never eats pickles as they make her face puff up and swell. Unfortunately they put pickles in her burger for some reason? Because mine was fine and she took a bite into it and instantly spit it out and went running to the sink to wash her face/mouth. I called the restaurant and the employees didn't care, I could hear the manager in the background speaking in Spanish telling the employee to just hang up on me. Bet he didn't know I spoke Spanish. I asked for his managers name and the employee says "uhh I don't know my managers name" and then says "I think it's Marc?" And then he goes sorry and hangs up... 12/27/22 On 12/21/22 5 Guys was on my mind yesterday. As a matter of fact, it was on my mind for the past week. Yesterday I decided to have some Cheese Hotdogs with grilled onions. The store wasn't very busy, but I did see some tables with left over peanut shells on a table. I spoke to the manager on duty Axel J, or at least that is who was using the register earlier. The prices have indeed gone up, but the food smelled good. Evidently I was pretty hungry. Unfortunately after ordering two cheese hot dogs with grilled onions, I saw the orders came out wrong. Moreover tje food made me sick. I called the same night tree times and two times I got no answer. Between the first and third call some one picked up the phone and did not say a word. This past Friday I spoke to two managers who were not very helpful. I did not wish to eat more food that could possibly make me sick again and the manager would not do a refund. I highly recommend not eating here unless you want to be feel nauseated and shit diarrhea all day long. I am seriously considering letting OSHA know about this. read more

When you're hungry for a burger, Five Guys is really satisfying. Getting a little cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and ketchup with a side order of fries will put you in a food coma. This branch was not busy on a Saturday at 2pm when my 16 year old son and I came here for lunch after his baseball game. Since I could not place an online order while driving, we entered the restaurant to place our order and only waited about 10 minutes. There are tables for indoor dining, but most people seem to place takeout orders. The reception area is well-organized with the right side for placing orders and the left side for pickups. I would say that it's important to keep your order simple and straightforward. If you buy a drink, the soda foundation machines give you a tremendous selection of beverages. This location in Merrifield has a large parking lot, but access to the shopping plaza is limited to a single entry point with a traffic light on Gallows Road. During peak times, I would imagine it gets backed up with cars in a long line. If you are heading north on Gallows Rd. (away from Route 50), it's possible to pass through the nearby gas station and exit there to make a right turn. The only downside of Five Guys is that the delicious scent of burgers and fries will occupy your car, which can make you even more hungry as you drive home! read more

Still the 5 star burger place. Super clean inside (no restaurant violations). Big place with large tables so bring your friends to dine in with A/C. Outside tables are nice when it's not so hot outside. Snack on complimentary peanuts while you wait for your burger even though the burger assembly is fast! A busy location in the hub of Merrifield. Definitely this store generates revenue, as it's where Grevey's was years ago. Right in at Yorktown Shopping Center. I've gone here several times, as who doesn't like a bacon cheeseburger? Unfortunately their prices have gone through the roof, and this was even before our inflation was so high. They used to be a great value, but can't call themselves that anymore. You can find a similar quality burger, fries, and soda somewhere else. This isn't to say Five Guys is bad, but rather it's just to state the obvious. Their burgers are cooked nicely at what seems to be medium well. I do like their fries, although it seems like less of them in the brown bag than before. They are tasty though, and yes it's fun to see where the potatoes are coming from. As for seating quite comfortable, and despite being busy, my hats off to the employees for keeping it extremely clean. I don't eat Five Guys that often because it has a sedative effect on me and this lady needs all the waking hours she can get ... but dang, nine month pregnant Kimi LOVES HER FIVE GUYS! I no shame got a bacon cheeseburger -- double patties and all, cajun fries AND a stawberry milkshake and it was the best decision I had in a while. We ordered straight through the Yelp app and in less than 20 minutes I was devouring my burger like a Japanese competitive eater. They had confused my strawberry milkshake with my husband's oreo milkshake ... and made a stawberry oreo hybrid milkshake and quite honestly it was the happiest little mistake I've encountered in my life! I only have a few more weeks to go in this pregnancy and I'm hoping that there is more Five Guys in the not-so-distant future. read more

Usual Five Guys fare and I was glad my burger wasn't too greasy so that's always a plus. The staff is friendly here and they're pretty quick at getting you your food.This location is HUGE compared to most of them so you should be able to get a seat unless they're absolutely packed at lunch. We were here around 9:15 were easily able to order, eat, and leave without being "those people" who are annoying the restaurant by loitering past closing time. I'm a huge Five Guys fan - their burger patties are always so juicy and full of flavor, and, they have a plethora of toppings that you can add with no extra charge. My go-to is the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with extra bacon, with raw and sauteed onions, mayo, jalapenos, and extra pickles. My husband gets his usual hamburger with the little-sized cajun fries. Recently renovated and very spacious. I am really upset with the way I was treated, I said that I had an allergy and I watched the guy making my burger touch a bun and then touch my food. When I said it's an allergy he got angry and gas lit me. There was a nice guy who was cooking and watched over him to make sure he didn't contaminate my food any further but the one guy was very rude, blaming it on it being busy. I understand that, but when an allergy is marked the very least you can do is try not to contaminate it. I don't care if it takes longer. I love the food and will just be eating the burger not the lettuce which he contaminated but wow that was incredibly rude and disrespectful! Place was good and so was the food. Little bit of language barrier and wall barrier with face masks didn't help with explaining the order. It was wrong (-1 star) but soooooo fresh and good. No issue to the restaurant, the burger was insanely expensive ($10 for little bacon cheese burger) and about took my breath away at $18 for burger, fries and drink. I have got to say, I am not a fan of chain restaurants but this one has done it right. The menu is simple and they deliver quality on every item every time. Let's start with the burgers. Cooked well with all your favorite options available. Beef is salted well so it pops ... and the ingredients are fresh. French fries. Fresh cut and cooked to perfection. It is amazing to me that individuals still consider eating frozen fries versus fresh cut. There is a NOTICEABLE difference between the two and fresh cut are SO much better. Of course, since everything is (mostly) made to order, you may find yourself waiting a bit compared to other chains. But the end result is worth it. read more

For some reason it felt like the floor was greasy and kept slipping. Finally the cashier told us that the floor was slippery. A worker on his break told me that they over waxed the floors the night before. It felt like a skating rink. In addition to finding a piece of plastic in my grilled cheese melt and overly salty fried, the head chicken head who added the condiments wasn't the most polite. I went up to the counter to ask for my number and she said with an attitude that it takes more time to prepare a grill cheese one patty and rolled her eyes. Okay, the cheese was half melted and I found a piece of plastic in my half melt. Five Guys is an over priced McDonald's now. They were a great chain, but not anymore! This location is pretty spacious. The employees look like they are having fun working here. I'm sure it gets pretty busy and demanding at times, but they do a good job accommodating rushes. The burgers, Cajun fries and shakes are really good. For the burgers, I think they are too pricey. However, they are dense and you can get any condiments for free. They use peanut oil for their fries and they have salted peanuts around the store for you to eat while you wait or eat with or after your meal. Too salty for me, but try it. The Yorktown plaza can be a little tricky for first time since there's a few one way directions. Getting out of this place could take longer if you are going during peak traffic hours. read more

I like this Five Guys location; it's pretty new and pretty spacious. There are a lot of booths, tables, and counter space, so finding a spot to sit down is not a problem. The line moves pretty quickly, and they are fast to make the food. I ordered ahead of time via ChasePay, and it took around 5 min for the order to be ready (if you order via this method, you have to just go ask them if the order is ready at the pickup counter, as they won't call out your name or number) The burgers here are huge and will be very filling. I've had other burgers elsewhere and at other Five Guys and these ones seemed bigger to me, especially in the thickness of the patties. If you get the cheeseburger, it has 2 patties and 2 slices of American cheese. You can customize with as many toppings as you want (ketchup, mayo, mustard, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, pickles, banana peppers, etc) I like the fries here because they actually taste fresh and like real potatoes. We got a small Cajun fries and they were delicious and the lady poured a little extra into the bag! If you get your order to go, check to make sure they haven't left anything out of the order because we were missing fries and had to ask for them. This five guys is sooo nice in comparison to many other five guys around the way! I was so distraught when the five guys next to cosmoprof disappeared but then they built this beauty next to CVS! Even better! I stopped in to get my little cheeseburger with only one person ahead of me. The guy who took my order was polite and friendly! I was amazed at how clean and bright the atmosphere was. Obviously they are still relatively new but the place still looked awesome. I waited for my food and actually decided to eat in. The space is large and wasn't too crowded. So happy that this location finally opened! The other one near Great Wall closed a while ago, so excited to have a Five Guys back in the neighborhood. The interior is huge - one of the biggest five guys I've seen in the area. Lots of indoor/outdoor seating and dining area and bathrooms are kept very clean. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and the line was pretty short. Food came out quickly, burgers and fries were cooked perfectly. Got a chocolate/cherry shake and it was delicious. They don't give you as many fries as some location (where they dump all the fries in the bag), so keep that in mind when you order! read more

I don't think you can go wrong with Five Guys. All of my experiences have been the same, the burgers and fries are tasty and consistent! This time I ordered online before leaving my office to avoid the lunch rush and the process was seamless. I made an account online, put in my order, and went to pick up around 1pm on a weekday. I came out in less than 5 minutes. It wasn't very busy so it wouldn't have taken long if I hadn't ordered ahead of time. One thing I did notice is that the burger was in good shape when I took it out of the foil, meaning it wasn't squished and the bread wasn't flat as I've noticed at some other Five Guys location. I think this is mainly because it wasn't too busy so they were able to take their time. The fries were delicious as always, who doesn't love the ones at the bottom of the bag?! This location is new so it's really clean and spacious. The music wasn't too loud and the staff were friendly. My go-to burger spot for our usual Friday night burgers. The team here does an outstanding job. Everyone is friendly, professional, and working hard on behalf of their customers. I place my order via the 5 Guys app (not the best but it gets the job done) and within 10 minutes I'm usually walking out the door with my order. This is my second time ordering from this location and the second time I've been disappointed. The first time I used the Five Guys app to place my order well in advance. Just stopped in to get a quick snack of fries and a milkshake, and it was sooo worth the stop ! The fries were hot and tasted delicious, as expected, and the milkshake was amazing, up to the whipped cream. I love how they let you add in any amount of different mix ins for free. While it wasn't as cheap as other fast food fries and shakes, I felt because of the quality it was totally justified. BIG HEALTH RISK!!!! Horrible Experience. I walked in and ordered my food. The guy taking my order, I am not sure if he couldn't understand my english or what the deal was. I ordered burgers n fries and told him to make sure the person making it will change their gloves. " I DO NOT EAT BACON". He said no you didnt ask for bacon in your burger. So, I repeated the same thing over and over again. Then he went back behind the prep station and started explaining to the co-workers in spanish and them thinking that hey this guys doesn't understand spanish started talking about it and oh Bacon this bacon that while laughing. Well news to you guys I know what you guys were talking about so I had my eyes on the employees. Well, good thing I did. The prep cook goes in the back and comes put with a basket full of Bacon. He starts to restock it and took all the little pieces and crumbs and shoved them in the new basket. Then he decides to touch the cheese slaps it on the burger and touches the burger while they all knew what the deal was with my food. I could be allergic to it which isnt the case but it could have been. I asked if that was my order and they said yes. I got upset because I feel like this was done intentionally and I have no clue as to why. Then the manager also hispanic had the nerve to yell at me and tell me he didnt do it on purpose haha. SMH!!! This location was SO SPACIOUS! Perfect for a big group. The food came out fast and it was delicious. I loved the free peanuts they have for the customers, though I hate how most people don't clean up the shells after themselves. The Cajun fries were delicious, though I thought it could have been a tad more crispy. But maybe that had to do with something that I came in pretty late at night. The best part of Five Guys is the way you can customize your burger. They have array of free toppings (onions, grilled mushrooms, jalapenos) in addition to the condiments.
