Went today for lunch to check out the new Five Guys in Merrifield where Grevey's used to be (RIP Grevey's). Brand new and really, really big. Lots of lighting and seating (max capacity is 313) which includes outdoor seating. For a new place, everything went well. Staff was friendly, my burger and fries were great, food took about 5 mins to get. Although this place will never replace the charm that was Grevey's, it is a great place to get a quality, made to order, burgers. They also serve milkshakes at this location but I did not try one. read more

So disappointed in this Five Guys! I have dined here once and gotten to go once. Both times service at the counter was super slow and the place was empty. A worker accidentally deleted my order twice so I had to repeat it 3x. The inside is clean though since they are somewhat new. What made me upset was when I ordered a large cajun fries to go, I got home to find out they gave me a SMALL cup and it was literally the end of the batch with just crumbs. I live 5 min away from Five Guys but only stopped by for the first time today. The place is not like your average dingy fast food restaurant. It's spacious and clean, and the servers are very friendly. Cheeseburger was solid. I like how I can choose from a variety of toppings and make my burger one of a kind. Fries was absolutely delicious. Gotta leave the potato skin on. Makes it super crispy. I know the peanuts are free and everything, but I wish it was of better quality. I love roasted peanuts, but theirs tasted stale and over roasted. read more

I have ordered twice from here since the start of social distancing. They do not allow customers to come inside and have a large waiting area in front of the establishment. You're able to order online and through the five guys app. Staff will bring your order outside to you. Safe and fast. read more

I was ecstatic when I saw the "Coming Soon" sign at the old Grevey's location a few months ago because I missed their great burger and fries after I stopped going to their previous Merrifield location. I found out the strip mall they used to be in has been sited time and time again by the health dept for insect and rodent infestations. I'm not saying the old Five Guys had this issue but the health inspector I spoke to said that if it's a problem for several businesses in a strip mall area it's highly it's a problem for ALL the businesses in the same strip mall area. (See my review for Uncle Lui's Hot Pot). Thankfully this new Five Guys is MUCH cleaner, larger and brightly light from their previous location in Merrifield a few blocks away. I've personally never experienced issues with service some others have commented about during the three times I've been here so far. The guys at the counter were prompt and courteous and my food has come out quickly. Again, food safety/handling and cleanliness are HUGE to me. The dining area and ladies bathroom have been clean and orderly. I was also happy to see that two times I've stayed to eat in, there has been an employee dedicated to the dining area bussing tables, wiping down tables and chairs, tidying and refilling the condiment area, sweeping up etc. The only minor complaint I have is that they used to give a bigger heaping pile of fries with a small order, but then again, it's probably better they didn't because I know I'd eat them all. Holy Cow this place has gotten sooooo expensive $8.61 for a tiny cheeseburger I could have gone to a sit down restaurant for cheaper

Much like other Five Guys locations, this is a very fine place to get good burgers and plentiful fries. This location has a lot of seating: tables, bars with tall chairs, and booths. They have the computer-powered soda machines (Coke products) so nearly all combinations are possible there. The music is played a little loud, and that makes it a bit hard to hear when your order number is called, but these are relatively small problems in the world of burger restaurants. I am certain that I will be returning to this Five Guys many times in the future. read more

This is my first time having 5 Guys. I got the double cheese burger (all the way) with medium fries and a Oreo cookie shake. The burger was alright. The fries was okay they gave me a lot of fries. I've been to many locations, but this one is one of my favorites. The management and staff are always quick to greet me upon arrival and are funny and kind when taking my order. I will not be returning to 5 Guys. The burger I got here was so bad I could hardly finish it. If I'm going to spend $15 on a burger and fries I expect it to be above average. While 5 Guys do put on a generous sized patty on their burgers that's the only good thing I can say about it. The meat was unseasoned, the ketchup was so cold that it made the buns cold and the burger was a soggy mess. They wrap it in tinfoil so once you open it up your greeted with a soggy burger that's unenjoyable and hard to eat. Their burgers are bland with little flavor. read more

The extra amount of fries they are known for in a large has gone from legendary to paltry. Overpriced. Not even the free peanuts make it worth going anymore. Speaking as a fan of Five Guys when there is only two stores, I have to say this five guys is disappointing. The burgers and fries are great as with nearly any five guys. However at this place is crazy slow and not because of the typical Five Guys care give into the burgers but just because of a lack of concern of the folks working there. My family I was going to hear at least twice a month since they opened and more than half of the time there is an issue where our order is not filled within 15 minutes. The is your typical 5 guys burger. The issue I have with this particular location is service. Slow slow slow. We were at the counter at least couple of minutes before someone even looked out from the back. And after that it took another few minutes before someone came to take our order. The food also took pretty long for it to come out. I know 5 guys usually takes a bit since they don't start cooking the patties until you order but I've been to other 5 guys where they were faster and definitely friendlier. Took my kids here again. Great burgers and Fries. Clean and lots of room. Great outdoor covered dining. It was pouring down rain but we sat outside comfortably and dry. Big tip. Get little burger. Yay. Happy to have Five Guys back in this area again. I don't really get five guys that often but having a close option for bugers is always nice. The thing is that I pass this place almost every day coming home from work- how dangerously convenient lol. This location is clean ( probably because its new but hopefully they are able to maintain it), and spacious, taking over what used to be a staple bar in this area. When ordering online, they charge your credit card, then when they can't find the order in their system they want to charge the credit card again. I absolutely love the burgers that they offer here! However, this place is definitely not for those who are looking for healthy choices, or are counting calories. The classic fries are delicious and full of calories. If you are into spicy, I would recommend the Cajun fries which are extremely delicious. Peanuts are free and not a bad snack while you are waiting for your food. One thing to note is that whenever someone leaves their table, there is usually a staff member ready to come fast to wipe down those tables that were just vacated. Usually at most fast food places, someone will come around every once in a while to clean off the tables. That being said, apart from the cool atmosphere and good food, the place is very clean. I've come here at various times during the week and weekend, and you can never be quite sure if there will be a lot of customers. I love Five Guys, but this location has some issues. I was there last night, May 3, 2018 and what an off night it was. I ordered online. I usually go to the Pinecrest location, but it is currently being renovated. I went to this location and I was very disappointed. I picked up my order of one little hamburger, fries and two bacon hotdogs with only bbq sauce. The hamburger was meh, the fries were very salty and the hotdogs were with cheese. I had to go back to have them correct the hotdogs. As I was there two other individuals had issues with their order. Too bad, but I will go back to the Pinecrest location when it reopens. read more
