They do use peanut oil to fry with, something I didn't realize until I saw the sign (clearly displayed thank you)...I have a peanut allergy so I just got a burger which was great. Probably won't eat here again bc of the peanut oil (it's also in the air because the fryers going and it's not well ventilated) but I definitely would otherwise. No complaints! The burger was very good. More flavorful than 90% of other burgers. The burger is probably a little more expensive than I would expect from a counter-order place, but not out of line for the taste. The fries are very good for natural style fries; I think a lot better than fast food type fries. They give you a TON of fries. We ordered two large fries, and got about a gallon of fries. I usually don't like burgers very much or tend to be very disappointed with them but this place exceeded my expectations. I really love their burgers they taste homemade to me. People see this as a replacement for in-n-out and I don't understand that because I don't like in-n-out but I do like this place. Yes I know, I'm like the only person ever that doesn't like in-n-out but like I said I don't usually like burgers at all. We stopped here on our way back home from the Grand Canyon for lunch on Monday. I've been to Five Guys before in Phoenix and was unimpressed by it then. (Being an Arizona girl who goes to California every year I definitely prefer In-n-Out). This time around I decided to order a hot dog and fries (just the regular ones not the cajun ones). The hot dog was good but the fries left something to be desired. About a third of the fries that were in the cup were under-done. I would have probably had a better meal at the Burger King or McDonalds that were across the street for half the price. read more

5 Guys is known for being a bit on the expensive side. While this is true (about $30+ for 3 people), you definitely get what you pay for. The amount of food received was way too much for one person. The restaurant was packed with people, but despite this our order was up shortly after we ordered. Though we did have some trouble finding a table. When we did find one, we had to wipe it off ourselves, and it was sticky. Now, despite the fast, friendly service and large servings of food, I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the quality of food and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was loud and crowded and messy and the food itself was very generic. There was nothing special about the burger and the fries were really greasy. read more

Five Guys Burgers and Fries was an exceptionally average experience. Allow me to elaborate: from the minute I walked in the door I was greeted with an array of peanuts to munch on whilst I awaited my food. I ordered a hamburger with all the usual suspects (lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions). When the kind employee alerted me that my order was ready, I collected a brown sack of 10% burger 40% fries and 50% grease. The Cajun fries offered the right amount of flavor with just the right kick, and the burger overcame the somewhat dry bun with the aid of ketchup and grilled onions. The establishment was crisp and clean, and the amenities offered were delightful. As I said before, exceptionally average in every sense of the phrase-- would recommend to a fellow traveler. read more

Bought one meal to go, and it came to $20.00 for a burger, medium fries, and a milkshake. Before cooking the burger, they gave me the milkshake. I asked them if they had a freezer to put it in till my order was complete, otherwise the milkshake would turn to soup by the time the order was completed.The worker was rude, and said I didn't tell him to wait on making it till the food came out, and he would have to throw out the milkshake. It was out of a machine like McDonalds. There was no eye contact, and he seemed put out and angry with my request to keep it cold till the food was done. I figured it was common sense to deliver the milkshake with the to-go order that took 10 minutes to prepare. I ordered bacon on the burger, which was missing. The bag was completely saturated with grease by the time I got home to give it to my son. It was a disappointing experience. Freddy's is twice as good for half the price. Decided to give this place a try while passing they Flag. This was our first visit. Loved the free in-shell peanuts right when we walked in! Cashier was helpful in answering our order questions. I got a single bacon burger with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, mustard and jalapeños. Husband got a double bacon cheeseburger with mayo, pickles, lettuce, and grilled onions. Love that you can pick your toppings and they're all included. We also got a large fries Cajun style to share. It was a lot of fries! They're really good and hand cut! They have stacks of 50# bags of Idaho potatoes in the dining area. I saw a cook come out and get 4 bags while we were eating. A little more pricey than average fast food but everything is made fresh to order, therefore it tastes 100x better than average. Hand cut fries and hand formed patties, the added cost is worth it. Still less than $20 for the 2 of us...no soda and sharing fries. read more

I'm in pain! Went to 5 guys today at noon and ordered a cheese burger and fries. Never did I imagine so much food. I'm a very healthy eater to the sorrow of my doctor, but this time I couldn't eat it all. Course the bill was $12.00. That should have been a signal but I didn't know the bill until my order was in. The cheese burger was very good. The regular size french fries were enormous. The CB was so thick I couldn't get my mouth around it hardly. Stuff started oozing out the other side. It was a burger with two patties and cheese. Delicious. The fries came in a big regular drinking cup. There were twice as many fries spilled around on my burger. The whole order comes in a paper bag reguardless of whether you eat in or take out. This is the first time I can remember where I threw some of the food away. I was stuffed. Now, 5+ hours later, I'm still stuffed. Would eat here again BUT I would only order a burger with no fries or just fries but not the two together unless I had three other people to share the fries with. Since this was my first time, I didn't know they gave away roasted peanuts and didn't spot them until I was on my way out. Didn't matter though, I had no place to put them except in my pants pockets which were the only part of me that was empty. Would I eat here again? You bet! read more

Super friendly. Great fries - the best I've had in a long time. Good burgers. Very clean. The only reason I'm not giving this 4 stars is because there was something super HOT (as in spicy) on my burger. I didn't order anything spicy. I figured it was on the grill and got on my burger. Whatever it was - I didn't like it. It was only on a few of the bites but it was nasty. My companion's burger was ok. Weird. read more

Do not believe the negative comments on this place. It is a good burger bar and the cleanliness is second to none. Just watch how the staff change their gloves throughout the shift. Good burgers and fries and you can make your own burger so it does not come covered with tasteless cheese if you want to taste the meat in the burger. Great stuff! read more

On July 20th 2016 my family and I were coming home from a family reunion in Tennessee. we stopped and decided to stop in to eat when we walked in we where meet with cold looks and attitude from the staff and members of the community. there were some police on lunch coming out of the restaurant to eat out side my children said hello and the didn't even say anything back rolled there eyes and walked off. As soon as we walked up to the counter to order we where told that everything was sold a la cart by the time we ordered 4 burgers we where already at 30 dollars and with 11people to feed it was to expensive that's when the person "helping" lend over and told of us of a restaurant that we would find better suited for us he recommended a place in a more "urban" friendly neighborhood he said was just around the corner ended being 5 miles away having to explain way this establishment found it to difficult to serve us because where black and explain all the small tricks they did to make it impossible to be served and when our presents was to much how we where "refereed" to a better place in no more than 15 min. I called there main office and they do nothing said they would call back nothing. I will never eat in a establishment that finds that type of raciest behavior good enough and my friends and family feel the same if I could give zero stars I would put -3 #5burger2Raciest read more
