We came in for a drink, the staff are super nice and smiling. Lead us to the other bar area saying more choices are there. You can try different things before you buy, which is super nice.

We love Flagstaff and especially the strong micro brew game. This is our favorite so far!! Welcoming environment with fun loving staff. Sufficient parking options. Comfy seat yourself with a variety of indoor and patio options. Four legged friends welcome on the patio. Order at the counter and cold water available (or Coors light if you believe the label) Very nice menu with options for all. Food comes out quickly and is obviously made fresh and served piping hot. Beers are tapped here and creative craft cocktails come from next doors cocktail bar. Food and drinks were on point and delicious!! Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly but they also let you relax and enjoy without interruption. We will most definitely come back on our next visit.

Historic! First time stopping in Flag, so of course using my trusty Yelp for suggested establishments... This place is nestled in the old buildings downtown wrapped around another establishment. You can enter from the street into the main bar or from the paid parking lot to the east into the patio. A lot of seating inside with a cute patio, very friendly. In fact on this day there is an event for a pub crawl with . The hostess was so considerate to make us aware when seating is on the patio. Dominique greeted us upon entering with a beautiful smile with direction of where to sit & how it works. The place is large with a bar in the front, bar in the back with a patio. Order at the bar & they bring the food/ drink to you. The chicken sandwich & tater tots were excellent, the Burger & onion rings were awesome. The two servers were to notch! I will return just to see Dominique & Kimn they are so cruel friendly with exceptional service skills. The food was awesome.

Lovely serene spot. I've always wanted to try and wondered what the gorgeously brick bldg is connected to the hopping patio. I always see patrons enjoying this outdoor patio. Bartenders are lovely here, tonite the cute redhead and the cheery guy. It's like 2 pubs in one for twice the fun. Everyone seemed to be enjoying food as well. I'm over the moon about trying the "key lime wheat" draft. It's delicious! They sell their own brews here and all looked awesome. Def check the community board to see the paint and pint night... apparently you paint your dog! Hopefully they help me paint my 2 tiny chihuahuas... and they have pumpkin carving when you order a certain beer, Piehole I think it is. Hope I see you, as I def will be back

Honestly, I am sad to report our food was like 4/10. The pretzel bites were actually very good, but the fried chicken sandwich and burger we ordered were like dry, bland and seemed like something that was quickly prepared, premade or reheated. We each ate like maybe 1/3 of our meal. Staff was super friendly and easy going, just food was not that good. The beer selection looked pretty good though.

Came here yesterday for lunch. We loved that they are dog friendly. Nice Patio in a shady area. You order at the counter inside and they bring your food. No real service. I mean once they bring your food they don't come to check on you. I don't even know if they do refills. The food just ok. I didn't like my food but maybe I ordered the wrong things. My husband and daughter liked their food, my son and I thought it was just ok. The good: the fried pickles, we all loved those. Mac and cheese with jalapeños my daughter/husband liked it. Fried chicken sandwich was good, hubby really liked it he also liked their beer. My son got the pulled pork, he didn't like it, I got the steak melt and I didn't like it but my husband did. We will come back and my son and I will try somthing different.

My family and I were headed to the Grand Canyon for the holiday weekend. Before getting to the National Park, we opted to grab lunch in Flagstaff. With timing and sightseeing, we had to pivot our original destination and chose to come to the Historic Barrel House. Since we brought our puppy, we sat on their outdoor patio. The brew house is dog-friendly and many other pups came with their families. Outside was well-shaded, had several long and spacious communal tables, and was a low-key environment. The inside is spacious and casual with bathrooms in the back. I found the service helpful, but the food came out a bit slower. For a late lunch, I had the Classic B.L.T.A and my family shared the Pulled Pork Sandwich. The sandwiches and burgers come with a side of fries. I was disappointed with my sandwich. The bread was smaller and narrower than my hand (like a hot dog bun). The bacon was well cooked but there were only a few strips, two small tomato slices, and barely any lettuce or avocado. I felt like it needed to be more with all of the ingredients inside--not much of anything. I was starving and it did the job but I wouldn't order it again, especially for the price. Flagstaff is a fun town to stop by in with lots of chain and local eateries. The restaurant has street or paid private lot parking The vibes at Historic Barrel House are good and people seemed to enjoy their drinks. I'd say come here for that versus the food. Happy we could nourish ourselves here and bring the puppy before our Grand Canyon exploration.

Beers good. Atmosphere is better. I'm a huge beer nerd. If you are looking for clean well brewed beer, they are great. If you're looking for exotics or big barrel aged offerings, it's not the place. Food is great. Love the chill laidback nature though.

Service: all the bartenders were friendly Ambiance: laid back with nice patio Food: only ordered the onion rings but they were delicious!! Drinks: great beer options along with ciders and cocktails Parking: paid parking

The reception we received, the only customers in the place, was not warm and welcoming. The girl didn't know the food or anything about it because she doesn't eat here. The pulled pork and fried pickles were very good. The French fries were overly heavy with black pepper. We won't come back

    Megan L.

Food was good. Service was nonexistent. Ordered a salad and got that 15 minutes before the rest of our food. One person was done eating before everyone else got to eat. Made no sense.

Every thing! Poor selection of good beer. Poor selection of sandwiches, then cheap bun, with scant protein! Would not recommend!

Somewhere along the line, we missed the boat. I ordered the Lumberyard mac & cheese and added pulled chicken and roasted poblanos. My goodness it was a lot of food. The mac & cheese was good, not southern good, but still good. The poblanos were a perfect addition but the chicken was drowned in a cloyingly sweet BBQ sauce. I definitely wouldn't order the chicken again. The hubs had the Santa Maria tri tip. The meat was tough. Quite a few pieces too tough to even chew. Luckily, my meal was huge so he had that to fill up on. I saw the 32 oz cocktails and the former party girl in me immediately kicked in. I think my husband saw the look in my eyes. Maybe the aura around me and put a kabosh on it immediately. I ended up with a 16 oz, still large but that inner 22 years old was disappointed. 32 oz and you should be stumbling down San Fransisco. 16 oz should have at least brought a big 'ol grin. But alas, I couldn't even taste the alcohol. That inner party girl didn't let out that big 'ol grin. (That's ok. The tolerance of 22 year old me has faded through the years). Enough digression, would we come back? Yes, I think it's worth a second shot. We would, however, try something different.
