I visited this place twice in the same week. On Wednesday, my order was messed up, but they offered to remake it, which I appreciated. I returned Friday night around 9:20 PM to pick up the remake and waited patiently. While I was waiting, I noticed at least four people who came in after me received their orders and left before I was even acknowledged. When I finally asked about my food, the staff member responded with an attitude, saying they were still waiting on some items. I didn't receive my order until 9:41 PM, which made me late for work. Updating my review as it's warranted! After a long day of travel, I had 1 thing on my mind a juicy burger and 5 Guys did not disappoint! Whole process took about 15 min and I have no issues with that, why, because your burger is cooked when you order it and your fries are dropped same time. I ordered a Cheeseburger, 2 patties, with mustard, pickle, onion, extra lettuce, little fry and regular drink. I opted to tip the staff, so whole thing was right under $21. I don't mind the cost here because my food was Fantabulous! Staff were working so efficiently together, it was a great sight to see. My food was amazing and IG Pic worthy. Been to five guys many times. Second time at this location. Place was clean. We received the food quickly. The freestyle Coke machines are awesome. I had the Orange ginger ale and the cherry ginger ale. The cherry ginger ale was delicious. Highly recommend! What's cool is there are endless combos of flavors! But also the burger price here is slightly more expensive than your ordinary fast food place. Also they don't have meals here so you would have to buy your fries and drinks separately. This is one of those clog your arteries places that is a guilty pleasure but you can only go once a season, then run 10 miles and bike 20 just to burn the ridiculous amount of calories back off. I think we have eaten here once and I liked it but when you think back on what you just ate and think wow should I have done that, Its not good. It's official five guys burgers and fries are going to be apart of my life forever I honestly couldn't see going a week without eating here. I like to order the little bacon cheeseburger which I must say is about the size of a standard burger for my condiments I like mayo lettuce and extra pickles I really enjoy the little chip style pickles that they offer. You can always find things to like or dislike about a restaurant but when someone writes that EVERYTHING is bad it makes me suspicious. This place serves burgers, fries, and soda as their basic food group. My burger was awesome, one of the best I have ever had, my fries were good but the fact that they gave me so many of them they were overflowing into my burger bag got them a bonus. They had a good selection of soda which I stayed, ate, and enjoyed a few refills. Worth every penny. If I wanna eat cheap burgers there is a great White Castle about 3 blocks from here but when I am man sized hungry for a burger I have a new place I will be thinking of. First of all I want to emphasize I joined Yelp EXCLUSIVELY to provide a review of this 'restaurant'. When approaching the outside we noticed it is plastered with reviews that are ancient, their cups boast accolades from 2001!!!! There is a reason! Upon entering we don't receive a "Burger Time!" or "Hello Welcome to 5 Guys!" No! We literally covered our ears b/c these morons SCREAMED "TWO IN THE DOOR!" There was a staff of 12 people behind the front service counter and EVERY last one of them was screaming at the top of their lungs at each other, and screaming numbers out to people waiting on food that were literally four feet from the counter....THIS in addition to the blaring music being piped in over the speakers. I've attended rock concerts that were quieter. My wife and I order two cheeseburgers - mind you NOT doubles, NOT bacon cheeseburgers, standard issue cheeseburgers and one large french fry. This total comes up to $18 and some change!!!!!!!!!!! It's like purchasing food at an air show or rock concert...and believe me there is nothing entertaining going on here! My wife only drinks Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb - their menu board shows only five beverages. We don't order a drink. We slide on down to wait on the burger getting as far away from these screaming fools as possible and discover - they have about a dozen beverages to choose from so I once again whip out my debit card and buy her a large drink. WHICH COMES TO $2.50 FOR ONE DRINK ON CARRY-OUT WHICH I WILL NOT BE REFILLING!!!! Sonic sells 44 oz. (which this is NOT for .99!!! The gas station next door for .79 for a 44 oz.. as well!!!!!) I can get a MUCH MUCH BETTER burger from the following places: my home, Wendy's, Steak n Shake, or the floor of an old Denny's that was shut down in the 1970's!!! Five Guys is the chain that started my quest for the best burger in St. Louis. It's not really a quest so much as a compulsive need to order burgers wherever I go to find one that could potentially beat the Five Guys burger experience. My first encounter with Five Guys was at their Town and Country location. I fell in love and couldn't have been happier to find new locations in St. Charles and Florissant, which seem to be my stomping grounds between work and home. Just a few tips for folks new to the Five Guys Experience: The fries are cooked in peanut oil, so take your Epipen if you have allergies. Note, I did not say avoid at all costs, just take the damn Epipen! (it's worth it, I promise!) The menu isn't clear enough for some people. If you order a regular burger, expect to get a huge burger with 2 patties and all your toppings. If you are a light weight, order the Little Burger. You will get one patty instead of two. Last but not least, order the regular fries. A large fry here is ridiculous, and is more than enough for two or even three people. The regular order will get you a cup of fries in your bag, and then another cup dumped on top of your order. It's not a joke. They dump them right in the bag once everything else is in there. Finally got around to trying them late fall. I went during a slow evening with a couple of people(2+ me) for to go orders.Being my first time there I wanted to look at the menu which was met with impatience so I quickly rattled off my order and waited. It was pretty clean and quiet and slow on my visit. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger wasn't "bad" just a bit dry and unseasoned and the bacon was forgotten,the potatoes weren't properly cleaned so the Cajun fries had that dirt flavor to it but I could tell they would've been fine if properly cleaned. I still gave three stars instead of one or two because it looked like two or three people were being trained on the grill and topping stations so I was essentially served "practice" food but haven't been there since due to the first impression. read more

Employees just don't seem to care, they take their breaks at the front table, even eating and drinking items not from five guys, burger buns are soggy, music was so incredibly loud I couldn't hear my daughter across the table, let alone the young lady call my name for my order. Hi, as a new member of Yelp, I decided to start with one of the best places I've ever eaten: Five Guys Burgers and Fries. If you haven't heard a good review, just wait until you hear this. So me and my Dad, walked into the store, and we went up to the counter. I ordered a Cheeseburger (didn't think of bacon then), and dad ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger. We also got 2 regular drinks. So we got a table, got our drinks, and about only 5 minutes later our food was done. I though: "This can't be real. NO good burger can be made that fast." I was proven wrong. So we got to the table, and took out our fries. And they were in a cup. I thought: "Really? This place must suck." Again, proven wrong. I ate one of the fries, and I started to eat more, and more, and more. They were so delicious and crispy I couldn't stop eating them! They were the best fries I ever tasted! Then, I moved onto the burger. As soon as I opened my wrapper, cheese oozed out of the burger, onto the foil wrapper. I ate the cheese- macho delicious. Once I took one BITE out of that burger, it was so flavorful I thought I died and went to heaven. That burger was so delicious, great, and so tasting: I could've gotten another burger if I wanted. But I didn't, sadly :( The service there was nice too, people were nice, gave nice talk while we were waiting, and gave us everything we needed. I have never seen such customer service at a fast food place! When we left, I was sad to go. But next thing for sure, I'm going back! Dude working the register is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. I've been to this location twice and he goes out of his way to take care of people. He is on top of everything. They called my order number and before I was out of my chair he was already walking it over to me. I saw him offer to make a small child something different if there was nothing on the "standard menu" he would eat. He walks around while not taking orders and straightens up, asking people if everything is good and clearing their trash. I decided to give this location another chance and was again disappointed. Even though I ordered online, my order was still incorrect. I don't order a complicated burger and yet my burger came loaded with things I did not order. So much for saving time ordering online. I can't say my experience was anything like the previous reviewer. The burgers are great- the previous reviewer got a double cheeseburger bc only the small size is a single patty ( but is plenty large enough). They have a ton of fresh toppings you can add for free as well. They also give a ton of their natural cut fries- yum! And yes, it's greasy... But it's fast food, so what can you expect. I do though think its a bit overpriced, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. FiveGuy$ makes good hamburgers and probably has more free toppings and garnishes than you'll ever need. The frie$, which are on the slightly soft side, are pretty good too. My problem with the place is the value. Less than two bucks short of thirty dollars for two burgers, large fries and two regular fountain sodas seems a little steep to me. This is a hamburger stand with a bent towards Morton's Steakhouse pricing. I shudder to think how high the bill would have been if I had ordered a milkshake instead of a fountain soda. The place can be loud if they are busy, and this is not the place you want to come to with a crowd unless everyone is paying their own way. This is not the healthiest option at all. One could probably grease their scalp with the grease from the fries in the bag. But it is frickin tasty. You can customize your burger however you like it, prices are perfectly fine after you eat lol.
