We came here with kids. Food was very good. It was nice to have a little kid area with coloring pages, crayons and books.

They are fast and efficient and take the time to help answer any questions. We had a bigger group, so we pulled a couple of tables together and waited for our food and socialized! They were both flavorful with lots of protiens. Fast and friendly and great food!

They have doors to get through and lots of seating inside. We ordered at the counter, got out table number, and got the high chair for our toddler. The order came out quickly and I got some condiments (hoisin and sriracha) at the service counter. We ordered beef pho and shrimp lo mein, along thai iced tea and matcha milk tea. The drinks were okay! I could barely taste any matcha and it was very milk forward. I think the thai had a better flavor so I would opt for that next time. But food wise, absolutely loved the pho and that it came with fresh mint, bean sprout, and jalapeno. I also loved the broth! My husband's shrimp lo mein was also very good, but he had a lot of carrots in his lol My toddler loves noodles, so he liked both of our meals. Great spot for quick pho!

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder... (or in this case the stomach grow hungrier!)"…read more I've done Sauce on the Side before, as they delivered calzones to the office and we did staff lunch using them (at least back when I was on that part of the staff) and they were as I recall "agonizingly delicious" calzones. So, I figured, I've got to do it again, this time to make sure my memory was clear and correct. And since one of their more recent locations was right by my office.. AND i had just got paid. Why not, right? Anyway, we're going to keep this one kinda short and sweet, since I didn't do a dine in, but rather another grab and go... (yet, again I forgot the foodie pictures! what's wrong with me? I remember to get buildings and backgrounds and forget the important part!) Small smokehouse salad and the monthly special for August. Gyros style Calzone! (yes, only one special runs for a whole month, so when Sept 1st rolls around, the Gyros are gone!). Now I'm going to say plain and simple the food was as good as I remember (I think before I became a Yelpie foodie person, it was "always Chicken Doodle" calzones. I got in a comfort zone, but with my obligations to be as entertaining as possible (at least I hope these are), I had to go for the monthly special for something different... So see Yelpsters: Variety makes you a better food critic. NO more same ol' same ol' or me anymore either. Risk take I will! (remember to read that last line in a Yoda accent, makes it work better (I Hope)!) As for the restaurant of SOTS itself, it's reasonably spacious, three TV's and a little bit of artwork for the walls.. Just the perfect lunch time from work, or afterwork dinner spot or a quick meal. The waitress you could tell was ready to get out of there for the night, but she tried with a smile (so "thumbs up" to her) Anyway, I will say the calzones and salads were as good as I remember them, but surprisingly I will say .. they're not as big as I remember? I just used to remember the calzones delivered to the office felt larger while these, as well packed as they are, didn't seem as big. But that's my _only_ complaint with any SOTS calzone, because they are stuffed to the 'rafters' with the contents and the salads look and feel about what i remember. (so no punishment for the 'feeling' of small.). Serving time was about 13 minutes, but that never bothers me much anymore, being a patient "old man". I got all the time in the world to savor the good things in life. And SOTS Calzone's _are_ one of those good things in life and while the "fonder" wasn't what I recall, this is still one of the best lunch / dinner stops for anyone in the area. And that's saying something, since I've got a few more Creve Coeur locations I have to start preparing a memory trip for!

The sauce is served on the side (hence the restaurant name), and the sauce has a very bold and spicy flavor. The staff (Jenny is incredible, she is so friendly and helpful) are superb. We used to get pizza, wings and t-ravs from here on occasion at a place where I used to work, and…read moreit may have been the most generous gift I've ever received, with the caveat that I haven't received much in the way of kind treatment, from places of employment or elsewhere. I'm tempted to suggest that this is a pizza, wings and t-ravs place--which is all you need, really. If you include beer, which they have, that's all four food groups. (That might actually be true, come to think of it.) I've had the burgers here once or twice, here and at other locations, and I seem to recall them being fine--probably a cut above anything you'd get at a fast food restaurant, and for not much more, but not anything you'd travel for. If you lived in the adjacent hotel for some reason (trying to put together first-and-last on a place in a "good school district," perhaps), you'd be all set. I was there with my parents because they wanted to get the Sunday special fried chicken dinner. Deals like that are like catnip for the elderly. It's an okay deal for the price, and it's reminiscent of a time when a lot of these local sit-down places used to do fried chicken on Sundays. We used to get it sometimes at the Culpeppers near 270 and Olive. It was both much cheaper than this deal and all you could eat. Of course you had to walk there to get it, uphill both ways. (It really was all you can eat.) I didn't order the fried chicken, but I did get a chance to try it. It was good! It was maybe a little bit dry, but it was fried *hard*, like the chicken wings from the hood spot on the Fugees' The Score, to continue with the '90s theme, and it was seasoned well. Weirdly, you have to pick one (just one) side from the list of sides that come with the sandwiches, and there's a dearth of traditional fried chicken sides, like green beans and mashed potatoes. My parents had mac and cheese (which cost extra) and steamed vegetables, neither of which looked like they were that good. But the fried chicken honestly wasn't half bad. I already kinda knew what to expect with the pizza. It's St. Louis style and roughly on a par with Imo's, for what it's worth. The cheese might be better, but the other toppings probably vary depending on what you get. I got the pepperoni, which was fine. Maybe a little bit thin, like the pepperoni they had to use on pizzas during the Great Depression. They load you up on cheese, and like I said, it's a somewhat higher quality cheese. It's not weirdly liquid when it's hot, and it has a satisfyingly substantive chew to it once it's had a chance to cool down a bit. They could have left it in the oven a bit longer, but it wasn't undercooked, just not quite as crisp as I require. I know you have to tell them to do that at Domino's, or else they pull it out of the oven early, to save money that they pass on to you, the consumer, in the form of app deals that seem almost too good to be true. The pizza, if I read the menu correctly, only comes in two sizes, one which seemed like it might be too small and one that was definitely too big for one person. The 12" might honestly be fine for most people who don't have some sort of disorder, which, honestly, might be much of this place's customer base. I ate a whole 16" anyway (no Diddy), along with that chicken. What can I say? It was good, and I'm as pathetic as anyone else who eats here, if not more so.

A perfect spot for quick lunches or a fun dinner with friends. Plenty of parking in their lot out…read morefront although I know it gets busy, especially if they have an event in the evening. I love that they have so much space inside and also have an event space if you want to host something there. They also have so many special live music nights in every sporting game playing for your enjoyment! Service was fast and efficient. There is a wide variety on the menu to fill whatever taste you have at the moment. They do have a few helpful selections if you have dietary restrictions. I got their salmon with two sides and that is always a very tasty meal!
