Ok I finally have a picture to post about. This place has been a gem since I was little and even before that. It's been around for years literally and still worth every penny. My stepdad used to bring me here for the car cruise and we'd enjoy the burgers, hotdogs or a shake. Literally have never had anything nasty. The service is amazing literally reminds you of an old school diner. Like the ones I've saw in movies and pictures (I'm not that old lbvs) anywho the ones were they took your order from your car in skates. Yea that kind of vibe is here and they still walk to your car and take your order and bring you food! This place is definitely worth trying if you've never been to experience it for yourself. They also still have the car cruise

I always like mom & pop drive in places...and this one is good. I give a better rating too...as for the price, it was a good value for what you got. - Chuck Burger: the pic doesn't look the greatest, but it's better than it looks. The classic well scalded burger...with a good bit of salt and good toppings. - Onion Rings - some pre fab onion ring...but a better pre fab onion ring. - Tamale: Now, I just had the tamale plain....and for pre made...this tamale was great! - Chili Mac: Hardly my favorite. Whatever chili is on this....it isn't very good. So, this dish is a miss. The drive in....doesn't have the dining room open - all just car service in the lot.

Such a Nostalgic vibe! Hubby saw a post from another Yelper and was instantly sold on trying this place. I must say, it definitely did not disappoint. Upon arriving, we pulled into the spacious parking lot and parked. A young lady signaled to let us know she would be right over to take our order. You don't have to get out of your car, they come to you! I ordered a double cheeseburger, curly fries and an Oreo milkshake. The fries were well seasoned, crunchy and fresh. The cheese burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly with crunchy edges, and a soft bun. The milk shake was delicious, it was loaded with lots cookies and a great sweet treat to a savory meal. My husband ordered the same thing and stated his meal was a 10/10. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich to share, but I didn't try it as I was so full from my meal. Customer service was top tier, with friendly wait staff. They definitely deserve a 10/10. All that was missing was a parking lot full of vintage cars!

Fire, fast and hot! A STL County classic! Service 10000 stars. Also enjoyed the banana shake, curly fries and patty melt.

Just off the plane and hit up Chuck A Burger which is nearby. I've had on a try list for years. I love old drive-in's from the 50's. It's not much to look at unfortunately, but maybe it once was. The area seemed safe during the day. I actually was hoping they had indoor seating but it's now closed. So I pulled up by the building and service was immediate and friendly. I kept it simple with a cheeseburger, fries and strawberry shake. Prices were affordable. My order came out on a bag in less than 10 minutes. Burger and fries were hot and tasty. Shake ok. The server came back and brought extra napkins. A solid 4 seems to fit them perfectly. Good bites and excellent service. Not sure I would return, but check them out if never been.

I love love love chuck a burger! I've been coming here for about 7 years!!! The service is amazing you can call the order in or just pull in and get a nice size burger, fries and drink! They are always very nice when you arrive they great you no more than 5 minutes! Unless they are busy. When I first started coming here you could eat on the inside. Not sure if the same applies now. Oh well it's all the same! Well done indeed!!

This is one of my favorite local places, end up grabbing a burger here on the regular and while I have tried other things and liked them (they have a big menu), I love good burgers and this is one I crave. I love the fries and onion rings both and appreciate that everything is made to order. That freshness is not as common as I would like. Another standout is the team who works there. They are friendly, timely and have given me good feedback on things when I have asked about other things on the menu - not once have they led me astray. I do want to give you a tip on how it works, cause they closed their dining room during Covid and remain a drive up restaurant. And it confuses new folks cause it is not a drive thru or like Sonic with speakers. - there are signs on the building that say spots up at the building should be used for to go orders. - if you want to eat there great! Just park a layer out, or even hit up the picnic tables. - someone will come to you as soon as possible (they frequently motion they will be a minute as they put in someone else's order. If you park anywhere they can see you, they tend to arrive promptly. - lots of locals eat there often so if you want a menu, just ask. They have paper ones with them. Feel free to say it will take a minute or tell them what you are thinking. Since the restaurant is so close to an overpass, pay extra close attention to traffic and keep an eye out for folks who walk, ride bikes or whatever cause pedestrians are pretty common with a big school and all nearby. It's family owned & operated so they are closed Sundays.

Been a long time since I went by Chuck A Burger Drive-In. Glad I did. Car hop came out quick. Got my order and my food came out even quicker it seemed. Good well seasoned double smash burger with LTOP and small fries. Those were the best fries I've had in a LONG time. I'll try to get back sooner. Love the curb service experience.

Food is awesome! I haven't been to a drive thru since I was a kid, so it was fun to bring my kids to experience it! The few times we went (while we were in St. Louis visiting) the staff were all so friendly, no matter how busy!

Stopped by Chuck-A-Burger Drive-In and loved the retro vibe! I got a single Chuck with everything, fries, and a Coke--classic and delicious. Burger was juicy, fries were crispy, and the service was fast and friendly. Definitely hitting the cravings for fresh hot fast food.

Curbside service only. Dining room is not open. This was disappointing. It's been 40 years since I ate here. It's right across the street from my old high school, Ritenour, on St. Charles Rock Road. I ordered the double Chuck burger, fries and a small vanilla shake. The double burger was lacking in meat compared to their competition. Their fries are very good and the milk shake was terrific. The fries are a little above average in thickness. They were cooked perfectly. The milk shake was thick, creamy and the perfect vanilla taste. If you go online and see they have inside seating I can tell you that it's no longer the case. Very prompt and friendly curb service for take out. It took less time then I expected to receive my order.

He was great, I hadn't asked for no cheese and didn't realize the potatoes came that way. We were seated quickly and our waitress, Karen, stopped by for drink orders and asked if we had dined there before, that was an affirmative. Karen was no nonsense and efficient, telling us about the special and answering questions about the pot pie. We happened to be seated next to a table from someone I knew, so we didn't have to pretend not to stare at the food they ordered, lol. We just talked about all that we ordered. Their Piccadilly fish looked amazing as did the rib special. I ordered the chicken pot pie, I had been thinking about it, and craving carbs to boot and it didn't disappoint. Karen informed me that it had lima beans and corn, so I wasn't shocked by that. Came in a bowl draped with puff pastry. Pastry was flaky and lightly browned, the base was creamy with lots of chicken chunks, carrots, corn, and lima beans. I haven't had lima beans before and I liked them. I had ordered the soup of the day, Tuscan white bean that sounded great, but I thought it was just ok. Husband ordered the fried chicken with slaw and mashed potatoes. The chicken was HOT! I enjoyed the leg piece I snagged off his plate, the breading is thin and adhered well to the chicken, the slaw was creamy, I didn't try the potatoes. Upon being seated at the Crow's Nest yesterday, we were informed that the deep fryer wasn't working…read moreand that, because we were a group of more than eight, we would not be allowed to split our checks and would be charged an automatic gratuity. Not only were we not granted an exception on the checks as consolation for not being able to order french fries, there was no indication that this had even occurred to our server. This is precisely the level of temerity we need to inculcate in young women in our society, and I'd encourage her to apply for a job at the women's-only sports bar a few doors down if and when it ever opens. It'd be tragic if she wasn't there if and when I return, but I'd appreciate the fact that she has a greater mission. Hopefully, the deep fryer is working. It being out of commission naturally limited the number of things on the menu we could order. We were only told that we couldn't order anything that required a deep fryer, not given a modified menu or anything. I started going through each item and imagining how it might be prepared, but I couldn't muster the psychological bandwidth to continue. Hit my Cash App if you appreciate the amount of unpaid emotional labor I was compelled to contribute. It occurred to me that I might just get a burger and a side salad, but then I saw that they carry a club sandwich. I love a good club sandwich, and I figured it might make for a light, refreshing alternative, given the weather. There's an option to get a cup of soup for $1.50 extra as a side with your sandwich (no, they didn't offer to eat the charge), and I figured that might go well with my sandwich. I was kicking myself when they brought out someone else's order with the side salad. It looked really good. The Frisco Burger, or whatever they're calling it, looked good too. Meanwhile, the BBQ Beef & Cheddar Soup--the soup du jour (that's French), according to Flo--looked gross, like something your dog might cough up. But damn it was good! It was more beef than anything else. A large bowl of it might actually be too much food. (I'd still eat it, natch.) The overall flavor profile was along the lines of a good french onion soup. It was a reminder that I need to be ordering soup in restaurants more often. I wish the club sandwich was cut into little triangles and fanned out on the plate in some elaborate configuration, like at a place where rich old ladies have lunch, but I guess that wouldn't have been in keeping with the theme. Instead, it was served on the world's thickest Texas toast, with the world's dullest steak knife protruding from its center. This sounds like hyperbole, but I may have honestly been served the equivalent of half a loaf of bread. It was much more bread than I required, but at least it was fresh and delicious, as were all the other ingredients. Turkey used for sandwiches is almost never remarkable, but this was surprisingly great, as good as anything you'd get served as an entree unto itself. Nothing about this place suggests that it would have such good food, but it just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. The decor, the overall vibe and the lack of hospitality might not be for everyone, but don't let that deter you.
