The burger is decent. It could use a little more seasoning. The flavor of the cheese gets lost so I always order extra cheese. This place is clean even though it is very busy, and the quality of the service is on point. Even the restrooms are clean. You get to help yourself to free peanuts which the kids enjoy. And you can refill your drink as often as you like so make sure to order the smaller size if you will be eating in. They load you up on the fries which are cut from potatoes there and not frozen. The prices are a little steep. And be careful because if you order a burger you will get a double burger, look at the menu make sure you are ordering the correct one! Those inadvertently ordered double burgers can add up! Overall this place is a nice place to stop in when shopping in the area. Better than the average fast food joint. read more

I frequent this location because I work at Elmwood Palace 20, and I have to say I love this place! The food is always great, the lobby and restrooms are spotless and the kitchen staff always look hard at work. Even when it is busy they have a smile and knock out the line quickly. I ate here awhile back. Its nothing special. Burger was a bit too greasy for my liking. The decor has a 1950s theme, which was cool.

Their burgers are great, I wish they would have a whole wheat bun option, or better yet a low carb iceberg lettuce burger and do away with carrying high fructose corn syrup ketchup! I love Five Guys! I have been going to Five Guys for years and was so excited when popped up here in Metairie! The burgers are juicy and borderline too greasy, but just borderline. The smaller burger is all you need, though the regular sized burger is hard to resist and I will definitely eat a whole one (i.e. two patties). It's the kind of burger where the meat, the cheese, and the bread all fuse together to create a something great. They give you almost too many fries as they fill a cup and then dump another handful of fries on top of that one. Salty, salty, salty, but good. Plus, customer service was great and there was like 90 (or something like that) people working there which meant our food got to us pretty quickly. I'll definitely go back next time I'm out in Harahan. I had been wanting to try it for a while, and I'm glad I did. Sure it's your basic burger joint - but the man at the counter was extremely helpful and courteous. That always makes for a great experience at a place like this. I loveeeeeeee Five Guys!!!!Five Guys provides great service, their restaurants are always clean, the staff are friendly, and the burgers are beyond amazing!!! There are a lot of things to love or like about Five Guys for example: the free REFILL on your drink, free peanuts to enjoy while waiting for your food, the Cajun seasoned fries, the friendly staff, the fast service on getting your food prepared, and their prices are worth it for every item on the menu. I enjoy the fact that I can order any topping on the menu without any charge. They offer toppings such as: ketchup, mayo, lettuce, pickles, jalapenos, tomatoes, mustard, A-1 sauce, barbeque sauce, grilled mushrooms, green peppers, relish, onions, and hot sauce. The prices ranges from 5-20$ depending on what you get and how much of it. When I go to Five guys with my fiancé we end up spending 19$ which includes two burgers, one little fry, and one drink to share. The portion of the fries is absolutely wonderful. If you order a little fry it is enough for 2 people. The regular fry is enough for 3-4 people and the large fry is enough for about 5 depending on much each people eat. The Cajun fries are delicious and addictive. However, if you don't like seasoned fries you can get the old tradition fries of just salt. Not only do they offer burgers, but also hot dogs and sandwiches for those who don't like patties or are vegetarians. Also, the staffs are friendly. Every time when I walk into Five Guys I am always greeted. They will go above and beyond to meet your needs. Sometimes when they are not too busy they come around to have a small conversation with you or to see how you are doing while dining in their place. Their walls have a lot of great reviews from different magazines, newspapers, or different companies, and people. It is very interesting to read all the ads or publications they have on their walls. The restaurant reminds of times like back in the 80s or 90s.I probably visit this place 2-3 times a month. My two favorite places to stop by for Five guys are the ones located in Metairie by the Lakeside Mall Shopping Center or the one in Elmwood because after leaving the place I enjoy going to the mall to walk or shop for the food to digest. . Five guys is a great place to enjoy mouth watery burgers for a great price. I recommend that you go there to try their fresh burgers if you haven't so already. Never again! I can get the same burger at Wendy's. I didn't realize this place was just a fast food joint. I thought it would be better. Guess I should have know better since it's a chain. I gave up fast food a long time ago. Beware, the regular hamburgers are double parties, they fail to tell you this when you order, the little burgers are singles, you'd think they would post this information on the giant menu above the counter where you order. If they would use some better quality cheese like cheddar instead of American it would probably be a lot less fast food tasting. The French fries are ok, but I prefer the salted over the seasoned. The seasoned have way too much seasoning. The peanuts are a nice little extra, not really necessary since I will be shoving lots of fat in my mouth after I eat peanuts, but I guess it's a nice gesture to give out free peanuts. I probably won't go back since I can get a way better burger and several different places closer to my house uptown. read more
