Service is super friendly and fast, but I didn't care for the Chicken Philly. It was probably ok, but I definitely prefer the steak - the chicken was lean and the flavor very mild, so it mainly tasted like grilled bell peppers. We also tried the wings - definitely a good choice. The buffalo sauce is thick and full of flavor and the lemon pepper wings really illustrated the excellent fry technique behind the counter. To be honest, I don't really like to eat at food courts inside any malls, but my mom and I were already at Lakeside Mall so we decided to try Charley's Cheesesteaks. The surrounding can be a bit loud and packed since it's literally inside a mall. The service was decent, but fast. We ordered a large Philly Cheesesteak ($11.99), a 20 piece Boneless Wings & Fries combo ($16.99), and a large Coke ($3.29). The cheesesteak was a little salty, but not bad. Just tasted average. For the boneless wings, we chose 2 flavors: Lemon Pepper & Cajun Rub. The lemon pepper one was actually pretty well seasoned, but the Cajun rub could've had more flavoring to it. I won't critique this place too hard since I don't expect much from a food court option, but everything was decent overall. Not a bad place in Lakeside Mall food court; they put plenty of meat in the cheesesteak. Fries aren't freshly made but ok. Came here because Raising Cane's was shut down (Jefferson Parish water advisory), which then led to crazy lines at Chick Fil A which is what I really wanted. read more

Oh... Emmm.. Geee!!! This restaurant is located in the food court inside the mall. I've never been to one of these "Charley's" before, but it's apparently a chain. They had many options for the sandwiches, including chicken and turkey options. I ordered the jalapeño philly steak sandwich and my friend ordered the pepperoni philly steak. Both of these sandwiches were incredible!! I mean, they had flavor, they were extremely fresh and hot, and everything about the sandwich worked together in terms of flavors! The service could, however, have been a little better in the area of friendliness and hospitality, but otherwise, my experience with "Charley's Philly Steaks" was my first time trying them, and I can say I plan on being a very loyal customer now. I wish we had a free standing Charleys! Until then, I'll go in the mall for it when I'm craving it! I love the small chicken philly with fries!! It's super filling and you can add whatever toppings you may like. I'm a traditional philly girl so just meat, cheese and peppers for me! Their lemonades are BOMB, it's served with real fruit purée. It can be a little sweet if you order the small, so ask for light purée. read more

Located right in the middle of the Lakeside food court, this was one of the cleaner looking places in the food court at dinner time on a weekday. I'm not sure what that says about the standards here, but it is a mall food court. The 3 people who were working actually smiled and were friendly, which is unusual, but good. Everything was clean. I was able to order quickly and was able to see them actually cooking the meat for the sandwich. In no time at all, I got fresh food and fries right out of the deep fryer. Amazing. This is not a 5 star restaurant, but for what it is, the service was good, the food was good, and I filled that hole in my stomach, and there were no issues after. Great job! read more

A very disappointing experience! I cannot speak as to the food, as I was unable to order. But the customer service is terrible!! My wife and I are both veterans and went to this location last month. They were supposed to be offering a Veterans Day special, and it was just like some free fries or something. Nothing major. But it wasn't honored. The manager, I think it was, an Asian gentleman was very rude about it. I asked him, so what do you not support veterans and he said that he didn't. I've never felt so disrespected. I've since reached out to the corporate and they were great, offering me a free cheesesteak at any Charleys locations. I'm going to save it for another time at a different store. Definitely won't be supporting this location with my business!! I advise everyone to do the same. In truth, I've eaten here before and the food isn't even all that good. The sandwiches are always dry and don't have much flavor. But we were at the mall anyway, and figured why not get something to snack on while we shopped. WRONG. Do yourself and everyone a favor and go elsewhere. Being Louisiana, there are much better and even cheaper options out there. Support a business that supports this country!!! read more

Very disappointed with the service and the quality of food at this location. They toasted the bread and left them sitting even before the meat chosen was no where near cooked and when I asked the employee she didn't seem to know what she was doing. She stated that that was the way that location fixes the sandwiches. They didn't ask want topping I wanted and tried to put them on my sandwich and I had to tell them not to put just anything on the philly cheese steak. worst pcs ever! it was supposed to have grilled onions, mushrooms & gr peppers and white american cheese. i added xchs and tomatoes. what i got: no grilled onions or mushrooms, tomato was 1 slice cut in half on a frgn large sandwich, then they added lettuce, pickles and worst of all, about a half cup of frgn mayo!...on a philly cheesesteak. these guys didn't reinvent the pcs, they trashed it. you put mayo on somebody's chstk in philly, you better be able to run...fast! i know, i'm from philly!! read more

I am so happy I found Charlie's Cheese Steak. I ordered a small on Monday and ate it for dinner. It was soo good I ordered a regular and ate half for dinner Tuesday night and the rest for lunch on Wednesday. It was still good the next day and I ate it cold. The meat is fat free, or it seems to be and I love how they toast the bread. So many times in the past I have to ask the fry cooks to toast the bread. I thought that toasted bread was part of being a Philly. Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches. Soo glad I found this place. I just wish the only location near me wasn't in a mall. wish they were within walking distance of my work. Very nice service. read more
