    Hamburger and fries

This Buds Broiler on Jefferson Hwy not as good as Causeway. The burgers were over cooked. The staff was not friendly. The ketchup dispenser ran out I asked the lady for ketch up and told her it was out she said hand me the container. lol. So I did. Waited for her to change it out then she handed it back to me and asked me to put it back. Restaurants was clean. Onion ring were super greasy. So do yourself a favor and go to Causeway Buds Broiler.

My wife introduced me to Bud's and I am impressed. The burgers are cooked over charcoal, which gives them a nice char and taste that is even better than the flame-broiled burgers elsewhere. Instead of being perfectly round and uniform, the patties are a little irregular like somebody actually patted out the burger patty. The charcoal makes the hot dogs and the chicken over-the-top as well. The buns are soft and fresh. The lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions toppings are fresh and crunchy. (Look at the slab of tomato in my photo!) The fries are only OK, skinny and unseasoned. You can eat a pile of them and still be hungry so order a Large. The ambiance is very casual - you order/pay at the counter and they call your number when your food is ready. It can get crowded and loud at peak times, but I always manage to find a seat. The food comes out fairly quickly. It's not a place with mega-burgers and a zillion weird toppings so If that's what you want then look elsewhere. If you want a simple burger and fries (comfort food!) Bud's is hard to beat. They give you a discount if you pay with cash rather than plastic, so bring some cash money and save a little bit.

Well all I could do is take a picture of the menu and bag this time. I was hungry and in a hurry. I got the #2 minus the onions. Also got fries and a drink.  This burger was everything. It was fresh and succulent and didn't last five minutes. I devoured it and loved every minute. They do burgers the right way. It was good to have a real burger, unlike the typical ones you get from the burger chains. The fries were pretty good also. I was greeted kindly when I walked through the door. Great meal and great service. I'll be back.

Driving across country and made a pit stop at buds broiler. I order their cheese burger and chili cheese fries and didn't disappoint. The ladies were very kind and prices super reasonable! Must try

I've been to many Bud's Broiler locations over the years although many of the ones I used to visit no longer exist. Somehow this was my first visit to this one. This spot I have known about for a long time though as it did stay open late for many years but these days, like so many other spots, it no longer stays open late. You get your usual Bud's Broiler experience here with all the expected menu items. I did notice an item here that somehow, over all the years, I had never noticed before in the form of the Big Bud Burger. I was rather intrigued by this larger better sounding Big Bud Burger so of course I had to try it! After my experience with the Big Bud Burger I doubt I will ever get any of the other Bud's burgers again as the Big Bud was such a massive improvement over anything else I've ever had at Bud's Broiler. In fact I think I'm going to be a dedicated Big Bud Burger eater from this point forward! Overall Bud's Broiler seems to have been declining over the years and recently the decline seems to have been getting faster and deeper but I was glad to find the Big Bud Burger which has made a stand against that decline effect with a very nice and large burger.

Been a long time since I went to Bud's. Got the #4 double with sauce and onions. Easy chocolate shake and fries. Once again, a place I used to frequent quite a bit when we lived in NOLA, but isn't something that always comes to mind when coming to town. Sunday night, we felt like a quick meal - let's go to Bud's! The staff was wicked sweet. This is what we miss when you go to places not in New Orleans. Now I have to say my local BBQ place in Bama is pretty sweet, but they see me all the time. The Bud's staff treated us like friends when we walked in. My burger was fantastic. That sauce, the onions.. give it to me! Sent pics to my son and he was bummed, yet again, that his family couldn't make this trip. I did my job :)

Yikes! This was probably the worst burger I've ever had! I gave 2/5 stars because the service was great! I ordered the #4 with chili. My boyfriend ordered the #4 also fully dressed. The patty was thin and both burgers barely had chili on them. The fries were fresh but lacked any seasoning. I would never recommend this place. To anyone.

I mean, it's Bud's. Always consistent, alway cheap, (almost) always a fun altercation to relay to friends. This Jefferson Highway location is tucked away and usually not very busy. #4 Meat with sauce and fries was as good as ever.

Classic flavors from a no frills burger joint. The decor is outdated but somehow still feels appropriate for what it is.

I am a big fan of the schooner salad, which I get without ham. They have baked potatoes as big as your head that are always cooked to fluffy perfection. Unfortunately, the customer service was a completely different experience. When I walked in and said I was there to pick up an order, the man and woman behind the bar looked at me strangely, whispered to each other, and then asked for my name. After confirming it, the gentleman only told me the total. No greeting, no smile, and I wasn't asked if I wanted to order a drink or anything else. When the woman handed me my food, I asked if I could have some ketchup. She responded with an attitude, saying, "There's some in the bag." I thanked her and left. When I got back to my work van, I opened the bag and found there was only one packet of ketchup. The food was excellent, but the service left me feeling very unwelcome. Based on how I was treated, I couldn't help but feel like I was being judged differently because of my ethnicity. I can't say for certain that was the reason, but that's honestly how the interaction made me feel. I hope management takes customer service seriously because everyone deserves to feel welcomed and treated with respect.

I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

Everything appears carefully considered and efficiently executed. The layout is purposeful, the operation is remarkably well organized, the space is impeccably clean, and the presentation of the products is both attractive and inviting. The restaurant's steady stream of customers throughout much of the day is hardly surprising. There is an obvious rhythm and efficiency to the operation, yet it never feels rushed or chaotic. Instead, there is a sense that every component of the business has been thoughtfully orchestrated. The staff further reinforces this impression. They are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and accommodating, but what stands out most is their knowledge. They are able to answer questions, offer guidance, and navigate the extensive menu with confidence, making the experience both comfortable and enjoyable. And the menu itself is a destination. It offers an impressive range of choices, with an appealing variety of meats, sandwiches, sides, and beverages. There is far too much temptation to reasonably expect one visit to be sufficient. In fact, choosing what to order may be the most difficult part of the experience. Their version of the muffuletta an outstanding of the original. Particularly their version of the bread, which was fresh, and warmly toasted renders it a cut above. Cochon Butcher is therefore a restaurant best approached with the intention of returning. One visit gives you an introduction; several visits allow you to truly appreciate the breadth of what they do. The combination of organization, cleanliness, quality, knowledgeable service, and an extensive menu makes Cochon Butcher a particularly impressive example of how a busy restaurant can operate with both efficiency and character.
