I am a carnivore ... it's that simple. When my daughter went Vegan in one of those 'phases of life' I shook my head but I do love my veggies and have come to discover some really great Vegan dining but it is never the first thing I look for. So when I was told that I would love the Daily Veg I was hesitant but the endorsement piqued my curiosity and I also had a meeting in the neighborhood so I stopped by to discover what would be a perfect "quick" dining experience because this is not fast food. The Daily Veg has a positive vibe when you walk in and the staff were extremely friendly as they encouraged us to enjoy the food. And, perhaps even more importantly I was nudged to sample an incredibly delicious "milkshake" that I really never would have ordered on my own. They call their food "COMFORT FOOD" but I called it yummy! The menu board and the staff member made the Cowboy Cheeseburger should like it should be my choice plus Sweet Potato Tater Tots ... I so love tater tots and SWEET potato tots sounded so good. And, I quickly ordered a regular beverage but I was asked ... "Wouldn't you like to try our "Cookie Monster" milkshake? I looked at the image ... it was blue and I remembered an awful blue ice cream my grandson had purchased elsewhere and then shared with me that was awful so I was saying no no no but they said yes yes yes so I went for it. When you are trying out a new place and the staff says try it ... I guess you try it. Let me tell you ... that COWBOY BURGER was absolute comfortly delicious. The blend of flavors was oh so good ... ok, you can't create Vegan bacon so the "tempeh bacon" is NOT BACON ... not crisp nor tasting like the bacon I love but it's flavor was a perfect match for Daily Veg's "Beyond Burger" patty. The pepper jack cheese melted into the sandwich and the onion rings ... mmmmm I am getting hungry remembering that yummy sandwich. The tots made me very happy but the milkshake was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Now, I had been craving a milkshake before visiting the Daily Veg. I did not tell the folks there that I was craving a thick delicious milk shake because the last place (Until now) I would ever order a milkshake would be a Vegan outlet. But that blue Cookie Monster shake ... OMG .... So good starting with the cookies on top. The cookie crumbles throughout ... the rich dairy-like flavor and the the blue didn't bother me at all .... Because I was being treated to something really good. My friend who went for the Pretzel Sausage and enjoyed that choice and I agreed that we will return and next time encourage others to join us. Who would have thought ... VEGAN "comfort food" not fast food ... but it is served quickly by people who want you to enjoy it (The young lady who made my milkshake even came out to our table to see if I enjoyed it.). I wouldn't be surprised to see franchises in your neighborhood ... a fun comforting meal. I need a milkshake that's blue COOKIE MONSTER!!!! read more

Don't eat there. I got take and was miles away so didn't return the sandwich but it was atrocious. The tomato slices were green and hard (they were not green tomatoes). Went there for the first time yesterday. The ambiance is light and cheery. The person at the counter was welcoming and very patient. Lol. It took us a long time to order because there were so many things that looked amazing. A regular customer highly recommended the chicken Caesar salad. We gave in to our cravings and ended up trying the bacun mushroom Swiss burger, the save the ocean fish sandwich, the daily deluxe chicken sandwich and the island breeze smoothie. We totally enjoyed everything and would def have them again. The fish and chicken tasted like fish and chicken. Haha. The burger did not taste exactly like meat but had a meat-like texture and was still a tasty burger that I will order again. The buns and veggies were very fresh, the cheese on the burger was melty and delicious and the sauces/aiolis were perfect. My only tiny ding would be that the fries portion should be larger for the price. But I'll still give them a '5' and we will go back to try the salad, the cheesesteak sandwich, and maybe a couple of their tempting baked goods. Very nice vegan restaurant. I highly recommend the Chik'n sandwich(es) and their fries. The shakes are also excellent--I can't even think of another place that does vegan shakes around here. the staff is pretty helpful and have great customer-service skills. My only gripe about the Daily veg is the pricing. I know that vegan alternatives are quite expensive, but the food here is priced in such a way that you'd think it was a mid-scale sit-down style restaurant. I have to wonder what the markup is for these food items. The food is good enough for me to come back despite the wild price tag, but I can only go every-so-often because of this. A burger joint that's plant-based and perfectly satiates those guilty-pleasures in the same way the Golden Arches and the King of Burgers does, but minus all the unhealthy junk in fast-food--That's Daily Veg! The service is great and the employees are very nice. The ambiance is very similar to a fast-food place and doesn't take itself too seriously. While their burgers and sandwiches good, I especially LOVE the açaí bowls. When I'm craving something rich and sweet these bowls are my go-to. I stoped here on a whim while on the road for work. Like most healthy places it was a little on the pricy side but I was really impressed with the food. My smoothie taste fresh and it was really delicious. I also got a lavender lemonade which was super refreshing! If I am every in the area I would definitely stop back! I am not vegan, but the food here is so delicious. The burger I always get is the DV cheeseburger and I add avocado. It is so filling and flavorful. The açaí bowls are yummy and even the small size is a great portion. My favorite is the PB lover bowl. I tried the Mac and cheese and it was really good. It has a great cheddar flavor and the scallions are a nice touch. The Cookie Monster shake is great. You really can't go wrong with any of their smoothies or milkshakes. I love this place and I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu. My first order from them was the Daily Cheeseburger and that was bomb! Tonight I got the Tenders and Fries (pictured) and a Blueberry Glazed Cake Donut which were both also so deliciousssss! The customer service is awesome! Coming from an area where a veg friendly menu includes removing the meat off of some entre and praying that there wasn't anything else "accidently" added, this place is amazing.
