Kyle- these negative reviews are why we can't have nice things. And they show a lack of some common sense among our community. I'm sure there are plenty of other fast food joints infiltrating our town you're more comfortable at. One where signs are more obvious, or HAMBURGER joints that cater to the vegetarians. This place is great, has every single thing been perfect every single time? No, but it's consistent and it's a food chain after all. This place just opened. I am thankful we have someplace other than Mexican, Chicken or Chinese. My 8 year old wanted a burger. This place does not have a kids menu at all. I got him the smallest burger they had, fries and a drink and it was over $13, which is way too much for a hamburger place. It took 25 minutes to get our order. They had a ton of people working there and the service was still slower than Christmas. I understand that this place just opened up. The service could have been much quicker. The fries were over seasoned with salt. They were hot and fresh, but too salty. My son could not finish his burger. I did try it and it was over cooked, the meat had too much filler and it was bland. I expected the quality to be much higher, especially since there were all these signs on the wall that say that they had the best burger. I am glad there is a new place in Kyle; but, I will not be back. read more

This Five Guys misses the mark. I've eaten in many Five Guys over the years and find the food to always be consistent and good....and it better be because it's without a doubt the all time highest price hamburger joint. My problem with the Kyle location is the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and more importantly the slow service after you place your order. I'm not eating in a fine French restaurant so I would think a hot dog and french fries can be prepared and ready for pickup in under 15 minutes. There were only 2 other tables occupied for my lunch time visit so no excuses I can think of. For the high cost of Five Guys this location has to get the food out faster! read more

Good Burgers! Something I didn't expect, was the double beef on the top four menu items. I like that. Fresh ingredients...didn't get to try the seasoned Cajun fries but will next time. FIve Guys is outrageously over price with everything on the menu is worth more than everything in my closest and ill have you know I shop for designer like lil pump once said "you a dork Mc Loven". Everything was fresh and delicious, as always (though I've never been to a 5 guys I didn't like). However two things happened during my visit to make me want to review this restaurant. While I was ordering, my 3 year old began throwing a tantrum and had to be taken outside to walk around. Hoping to distract him, I asked for a small cup of ice cream (they sell shakes only). Before I could find out how to pay for it, the manager spoke up and told the cashier to GIVE me a full cup of ice cream. Free! How nice! When I was ready to go, I was going to throw the remaining ice cream away (long drive home), but the cashier urged me to save it for later and rushed around trying to find me the perfect lid to keep it from spilling in my car. The manager, a woman with short, blonde hair, and the cashier, a brunette with a pony tail and freckles, went above and beyond for my family. Thanks! read more

In general, five guys is great. This location is TRASH. Last time I was hung up on while ordering and then arrived and watched the guy hand a bag of food to a lady without calling an order number or name. 20 mins past and I figure my food should have been done. Turns out he had given that lady my food. When the manager finally brought me my food she said "we can't do anything if someone takes your food"!! No apologies. Nothing. Even when I watched him hand it off. Any other restaurant calls your name or order number and waits to greet you and hand you your food. I do not mind paying $14 for one burger. But the customer service should be top notch for those prices. Everyone at this location is extremely rude and every time I call an order in they hang up before even telling me how long it's going to be or confirming my order. I will drive to San Marcos for Five guys. That's how much I HATE this location. Plus the burgers are soggy sacks of crap. Maybe it's just the bad taste the employees leave in your mouth. read more

Do not visit. Extremely unprofessional staff - careless, rude, slow. They begin closing a couple hours before closing time (literally) so don't expect fries or decent food at this time. I was there for lunch yesterday, so hungry I felt like I could have eaten anything, at least until my food was in front of me! I ordered the Vegetarian sandwich, which was bell peppers, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The bell peppers were raw, the onions were cold, and the American cheese slice was barely melted on the corner and still cold in the middle. The whole assembly looked like it touched the grill for a second before it was scooped up and served on stale bread. I'm not one to complain about my food. I'll eat almost anything that's in front of me, especially when I'm that hungry, but this was absolutely horrible. I was going to be late for work if I had stayed at that time, so I had to leave and come back to talk to the manager after work. When I did, I met the most wretched person ever. She reprimanded me for not addressing the issue during my lunch break, and told me "I'm not surprised you didn't like the Vegetarian sandwich, you should have ordered something with flavor"! Now, that is a direct quote! I'm not sure in what world grilled onions and bell peppers are considered bland. Maybe I should have consumed an undercooked hamburger instead? She was indignant about my report, and said that it was impossible for my food to be undercooked, she made it herself. So, perhaps she is fallible and doesn't achieve perfection 100% of the time. Or, perhaps there is some training this store manager is lacking. Either way, my complaint over undercooked food was not a personal attack, to take it as such is unprofessional. If you're the GM, please contact me. I've been in customer service my entire adult life. If one of my employees acted like this, they'd be fired. I've never written a bad review before now. Ordered a cheese burger with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mustard, Ketchup, Mayo. Got Lettuce, Tomato, GRILLED onion, PICKLES (hate pickles), Ketchup, Mayo (love mustard). I also got the core of the lettuce instead of leaves and because of this big hump in the middle the tomatoes all slid to one side. Being to picky? Probably, but I could have got the same exact burger made the way I wanted and exactly the same fries for exactly HALF the price at IN-N-OUT. Five guys is one of my favorites and have been to multiple locations. I will say this one is the worst of the three. The burger patty was good but the bun had been toasted ahead of time and was ice cold. It ruined the experience because the bun is already not great. Please look at a better bun it will make the burger unbelievable. The current bun is cheap. read more

I love 5 Guys everywhere and every time I have been. Very consistent. My preference for the beef patty is rather thin, no pink in the center, but not overcooked--and, dare I say it, with plenty of fat in the meat to make it juicy. 5 guys has all that and good veggies for the burger. I also like the fact that they have a smaller cheeseburger with bacon. We don't order fries because we hate to waste food and the portion is monstrous. Guess we could try telling them to not overflow the container on the fries. Wish they had onion rings. Recently, also this location has added shakes to the menu. They are very good. I just don't like burgers with that really thick meat patty ("golf-ball burger") that I can't get my mouth around. Suggest that the guy who downrated, or berated, 5 guys because their food makes him have to go to the bathroom read up on the internet about the gastrocolic reflex. It is normal! The staff was welcoming and cheerful and happy to explain the concept. The tab for a burger, fries and a drink was a little high, but I figured it would be worth it for an upscale, well-prepared burger. I liked the idea that the toppings were grilled to add to the burger. Too bad they don't really do that. The toppings, including the "grilled onions," were raw and had no opportunity to develop any flavor. I did see them on the grill. What happened? The burger was tasteless and overcooked. The french fries were still partially raw. I noted for reference that there were no options for smaller portions, snacks or meals for children, so no option but a lot of food and a big bill, which isn't always what is needed. Not the best use of dining dollars. So, because the price skews fairly high for the area, the food needs to be great and well prepared. To pull this off, management is going to have to provide better training at the grill and get on top of quality control. read more

What I got was a little cheese burger with cheese and jalapeños only, no veggies or condiments and regular potato fries. For $11 without a drink, I'd expect a little more attention to detail. Well my first time at 5 guys & FRIES. It was 9pm Sunday August 9th, as soon as we walked in employees walked into the back away from us. A few minutes later a guy named Marcus walks out at a very slow pace, I mean snails pace. Another guy, looked like the cook, comes out to say they are out of fries. So I order my burger with no Fries. I heard really good things about the fries and really wanted to try them. My friend then didn't order 2 fries, then my other friend orders his food next and sees fries and says "aren't those fries right there" and he's like "yea". After making sure nothing was wrong with them, he had them make him some fries. After talking to another employee about the fry situation, he tells him "..I don't want to have to clean nothing" Long and short, the employees have no respect for there customers and management really needs to do something about this. Tasty, but c'mon - $13:50 for the minimum: burger, fries, small drink. And RAW sliced jalapenos?? I understand meat prices are high, but this place (and the other trendy burger shops) are charging way too much and seem to appeal to people who think paying more translates to a better burger. No longer a cheap and quick on-the-go meal, but a "burger experience" (please). I miss the good old days when burger joints were walk-up, order at the window, and eat at a picnic table. The burger was dry and tasteless, the fries were undercooked (still raw in parts) and over salted. There was so much salt on the fries it looked like it was snowing on them. The environment was hectic and loud due to all the yelling from behind the counter. I ate half of my burger and 4 of the fries before I threw it away and left. I was charged $13.18 for a burger, small fries, small drink and was unable to eat my food. In hindsight I should have asked for a refund. They are overpriced and food is poor. While placing my order I asked the cashier if I could have my meat well done she stated ALL their burgers were made this way.
