don't pull up 10 min before they closed are, they will throw the bins back in the containers because they thought they were done and now have to take everything to cook you another burger, then they have to log back in continuing to be irritated. We went right when it opened right at 11am. We are new to the Kyle area and loved to try something new. There wasn't a five guys near us prior to moving to Kyle. I must say the staff was super friendly and the food was so fresh! I was very pleased to see how hot and tasty everything was. I was so happy to try this place. All the burgers were made to order! We had no issues and the cheeseburger comes with two Patties! The large Cajun fries are HUGE! A regular was perfect for sharing. I also appreciated that they have the soda machine with 1000 options to choose from to drink. Overall, we had a great experience. I loved that I could eat peanuts while I waited and food was DELICIOUS! Can't wait to come back and try a milkshake! read more

I've heard so much about Five Guys and saw there was one near. Not sure if it's just a location thing, but the burger absolutely sucked. It was drenched in oil and too much sauce that it sagged the buns. Did not have fun in the restroom after. The fries were missing salt. The tables and floors were dirty. The two employees working looked untrained and were inattentive for a near-empty lobby. The quality of the food was a direct reflection to the low-quality service. Maybe I'll try a different location, but it's worrying how this location is still in business. They should take notes to what happened to the old Mama Fu's next door, bought by soulless corporate executives and managed into a dumpster fire as the quality degraded. I don't think people understand that in order to run a food business, quality won't manifest magically out of thin air and requires great ingredients and a well-trained staff. Otherwise, you'll bleed dry as people never come back and you cant turn the investment into a profit. read more

Running errands in Kyle and wanted to check out one of our favorites when we lived in NC. The staff was friendly and they all wore their masks. The place was really clean but the burgers were not as good as we remembered. Not sure if we got spoiled by some of the other burger places here in Texas but we didn't love it like we used to. I order the JR. with grilled onions, mushrooms, mustard, ketchup, lettuce and tomato. It felt like they didn't complete peel the onion before they cooked it. I often wonder if I should make reviews on the more generic of destinations as they're streamlined to be the same experience regardless of location. That said, the devil is in the details, so to say. Which begs the following inquiry, what don't I already know about Five Guys? Allow me to be a mini tour guide and note out the differences to anyone so they're properly informed. Walking in, I feel like I'm going through a sterile medical wing. Super clean floors, spotless walls, wide open area and everything is in it's place. The tables are clean, the staff friendly, and one almost feels at ease ordering one of the finer "fast" burgers you can get, however equating them to "fast food" burgers is almost criminal. Please note, yes there are plenty of peanuts (if you're allergic, take note) to be had smack dab in the middle. The burgers are wonderful. Grilled to perfection with all the toppings you desire. The fries... still plentiful and unless you have a bottomless pit for a stomach, a small fry is more than adequate to stretch in the inseam of your sweatpants. In fact their creed is to throw more than what the container holds into your bag. So please... think frugally, go for the small and save a dime's life! Enough with the review of food items, they're great. Now lets focus on the differences. First I noticed the online menu is a little different than the store I went to. Raw onions aren't on the site but are in the store. Milkshakes are on the site but not in the store. They said their milkshake machine was broke (3 times!?), which made me think of McDonalds every other visit but I digress. Finally the best beverage vending machine in the business, you know the one where you have all the controls of a aircraft carrier at your finger tips? Yes that big Coke machine, well what good is it when it's out of 1/3 of the options? I was there three times and no other customers were inside so I'm not sure why this is a constant issue. Wrapping this up, the staff is fast and friendly and all the food is exactly as you would get it everywhere else. However some of the items either aren't in stock or being worked on. I don't consider this a deal breaker as it could be three bad visits. That said, they still have some great darn food and I'm always satisfied. read more

While I was waiting, I saw a worker with gloves on (at the assembly station...? Where the raw food was assembled after the burger came off the grill) using his cell phone. Um, excuse me sir, but are you touching your phone with the same gloves you are touching food? Where does that phone go? Drop it on the floor? In the restroom? In your bed? In your pocket? Effin gross. Sure, there is a chance the phone could be clean, but a very, very slim chance. So, customers, survey your food preppers before you bite. You may get more than you bargained for. Had dinner here Saturday night 2/17/24 and have to say that the staff was amazing and of course, the food was too.

Before I stopped and ate here, I read the reviews on YELP and saw that they were not very good, to say the least. But i'm glad that they didn't stop me from eating here. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly, and the burger and fries were delicious. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with the works and an extra patty. The fries were just as good and there were a lot. It was about double the amount of fries that you would get at any fast food restaurant. You can even eat peanuts while you wait for your food. They have bags of peanuts that customers can eat while they wait for their food. The only negative thing that I could say about the place was that they don't have or sell ranch dressing. That burger and fries would have been extra good with some ranch. Great food and service. I would definitely recommend eating here if you get the chance. read more

I FINALLY got to try out Five Guys. I seriously have been wanting to try this place out for about 2 years now. I was not disappointed. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger with some fixin's. The top bun fell apart on me towards the end, but the taste was great. I usually cut any burger I eat in half (mouth is small). I didn't have to cut this burger in half. For adding as many fixin's as I did, I was quite surprised I could just hold it and eat it like normal. I think it was a great burger and only about $2 above the average burger (the size I ordered with one patty.) My complaint comes with the fries. Not with the taste. The Cajun fries were excellent! But the size...geez. We ordered the large Cajun fries and the guy looked at us and said, "the regular is plenty for two." We still decide we want the LARGE Cajun fries. The guy interjects, "that's enough to feed about 4 or 5." We still get the LARGE. Well heck, I'm not sure who or what size these people are, but there was definitely only enough for two, possibly three people, at best . So in conclusion, I still think I'd choose Whataburger on the reg, but Five Guys would be a place I'd go to again. I would give 5 stars, but the fries size disappointed. read more

Went inside only to be told they dont have my order. What? Your register took my money lol so why not cook it?! Best Five Guys I've ever been to!!! These guys really know how to take care of their customers. We are accustomed to being able to share regular fries and we had a bad experience in one occasion where they barely even filled the cup up to the brim. We debated whether we should get regular or large fries this time, due to our previous experience, but my boyfriend was quick to say that Five Guys has never done that any other time. The cashier overheard our conversation and was quick to let us know that not only will the fries be free of charge, but he was going to make sure that we were taken care of. And boy were we!! Just as a friendly reminder if you are going to charge $10+ dollars for a burger I would suggest you spend more money training your employees better when it comes to customer service. We have never been to your establishment there for our first impression was horrible. The person taking our order (Sara) who did not greet us just stared at us as we walked up, had a smart comment when we asked what came on the burger. We asked if you offer "mayo pickles and all that?" Her response was "you want Mayo and pickles but what else because I don't know what all that is" with a snotty teenager tone. This place tries way too hard to be something it is clearly not. Go to Mighty Fine Burgers up in Austin and experience an absolute perfection in burger creation. Went here about two weeks after they opened as to avoid the startup issues most restaurants experience. Music was cranked up so loud I literally had to shout at the kids and wife to ask what they wanted. We got the order to go (about $50) as to avoid having my ears assaulted while I eat. Got it home about a mile up the road and OMGWHATTHEHELLISTHIS?? Burgers were soggy and nasty, hardly any flavoring in the patty and the fries were also nasty. When I say nasty, I mean undercooked. Kids wouldn't eat half of their Burgers. It was bad enough the wife put all of this "food" back in the bags and drove it back up there and requested a refund. The manager there tried her hardest to let them remake the order but the wife was not interested. Money back, restaurant stricken from the list of acceptable eateries. This one is a pass. On another note "Danny L", the reason we can't have " nice things" is due to half @ssed implementations and executions of restaurants in Kyle. Has very little to do with reviews on Yelp.
