So, haven't had Five guys in awhile, so it's about that time to have it again. Located across the street from USC, museums and a block away from the the Coliseum. I can't say much about the interior as everything is pushed and stacked to the side for the pandemic, place did looked clean. Service was good, nice, helpful and attentive, the food was great, my only beef (no pun intended) was that it was a little pricey. Ordered a cheeseburger, fries & a drink and it came out to be just under $18 dollars. Can't remember if the other five guys were around the same price or is it just the area that we are in. Me and my daughter went for a LA ride and stumbled on this spot.. its on the corner in a little side street. Off the radar of everything. I liked it because it was so calm and relaxing inside. Everything was neat and clean with only about 5 people inside. We each had one of the best burgers.. The double bacon cheeseburger. The meat was cooked perfectly, with gooey cheese everywhere. We were hungry after going to Delusion and my partner wanted a burger so we stopped here. Thankfully it was empty so we were able to order and get our food right away. It's a fast food place so there isn't much ambiance to speak of. I appreciate that they have a soda printer to get a customized soft drink to your taste. Compared to other burgers though, it was mediocre and simply average. Especially with the pricing, it doesn't compare to other locations as it's more expensive. I was here at 11:07am today and received terrible customer service from Bryan. He asked me did I want fries , and when I said no, I just wanted peanuts with my burger and could he give me the small bag they put the peanuts in, he replied no. He said I have to use the little brown cardboard containers. So he assumed I was eating in. So I had to ask another employee for the bag. I got it with no terrible service from Bryan. I was told about the free peanuts (which are available to munch on before your order is up). Is it expensive? Yes! Is it worth it? Most definitely yes! Got the bacon cheeseburger with regular size fries and a strawberry shake and it was right under $30 just for myself. The burger was a good size and except for all the onions when I asked for light onions it was perfect! The fries were fresh and hot although they did get a little soggy in the bag, I had a few fresh ones and they were crispy and delish! The shake had real strawberries, I hate when it's just syrup and ice cream but the real strawberries make a difference and totally worth the price. Lastly the customer service was on point! It was empty so not sure if that made a difference but the staff working tonight were in top of it. From the cashier to the cook, it was great. I ordered the little cheeseburger. Apparently, the regular burger is humongous. It's a double patty burger so a "little" burger is probably the norm for most. I had it with grilled onions, lettuce and ketchup, along with Cajun fries and a regular soda. The total came out to $10.30. The burger was kind of like In-N-Out, but the bun wasn't as spongy and it was overall just a soggy burger. The hand cut fries are sized somewhere between shoestring and steak fries. Opt for the Cajun fries if you like more flavor. I don't normally review chains, but this is the first Five Guys in the downtown area. The one chain that gives In N Out a run for its money. I came here with veteran buddies of mine from USC. We walked over here from the main campus, which is a short 5-minute walk. Fortunately, there was no line when we walked in here. We ordered our burgers, and waited about 5 minutes to get our food. The burger was delicious, and so were the cajun-style fries. I'm not a fan of fries, but I can say these fries were good. The customer service was pretty good here. The staff ran this place well.
