I can see why people love coming here. This place is awesome. The service is great but I had to go for the shakes because let me tell you as a middle-aged fat guy. I want to stay fat. I gotta have that shake. I had to do the Reiss with the Oreo cookie dust was absolutely amazing. This place is super clean. It's got actually a nice little neighborhood vibe to it and you get your food in less than seven minutes. What can you say about Five Guys and their food? It is just amazing whether it is the burger or getting the Cajun Fries. I love the many toppings they offer for your burger. So, haven't had Five guys in awhile, so it's about that time to have it again. Located across the street from USC, museums and a block away from the the Coliseum. I can't say much about the interior as everything is pushed and stacked to the side for the pandemic, place did looked clean. Service was good, nice, helpful and attentive, the food was great, my only beef (no pun intended) was that it was a little pricey. Ordered a cheeseburger, fries & a drink and it came out to be just under $18 dollars. Can't remember if the other five guys were around the same price or is it just the area that we are in. Me and my daughter went for a LA ride and stumbled on this spot.. its on the corner in a little side street. Off the radar of everything. I liked it because it was so calm and relaxing inside. Everything was neat and clean with only about 5 people inside. We each had one of the best burgers.. The double bacon cheeseburger. The meat was cooked perfectly, with gooey cheese everywhere. We were hungry after going to Delusion and my partner wanted a burger so we stopped here. Thankfully it was empty so we were able to order and get our food right away. It's a fast food place so there isn't much ambiance to speak of. I appreciate that they have a soda printer to get a customized soft drink to your taste. Compared to other burgers though, it was mediocre and simply average. Especially with the pricing, it doesn't compare to other locations as it's more expensive. We were there inside waiting and no one asked if we needed help or if we were waiting for an order. The food was bearable, the meat was lacking flavor and the fries were way too salty. The burgers weren't hot when we got them, they were almost cold. The bacon was a little tough and chewy. I didn't ask for onion but still had onions in my burger. I also didn't get the A1 steak sauce, didn't get any either. The best part of my burger was the mushrooms and lettuce. The patties were dry and like I said earlier, pretty bland. He asked me did I want fries , and when I said no, I just wanted peanuts with my burger and could he give me the small bag they put the peanuts in, he replied no. I was told about the free peanuts (which are available to munch on before your order is up). The best way to describe their burgers? Fresh, homecooked. It tasted like a homemade burger, something you would've made on the grill in a backyard barbecue. Not bad, but nothing wonderful. I ordered the little cheeseburger. Apparently, the regular burger is humongous. It's a double patty burger so a "little" burger is probably the norm for most. I had it with grilled onions, lettuce and ketchup, along with Cajun fries and a regular soda. The total came out to $10.30. The burger was kind of like In-N-Out, but the bun wasn't as spongy and it was overall just a soggy burger. The hand cut fries are sized somewhere between shoestring and steak fries. Opt for the Cajun fries if you like more flavor. I don't normally review chains, but this is the first Five Guys in the downtown area. The novelty brought me here, but I'll probably stick with In-N-Out. Maybe their bacon hot dogs are better? read more
