Want some fries with that salt? I had high hopes for this place. With the burger becoming quite the fad as of late and places like Five Guys, In-N-Out Burger, Smashburger and Home Run Burgers popping up, I finally had the chance to try Five Guys and give my thoughts. I found it weird and interesting that the overflow of their potatoes, peanut oil and whatever can not fit in the back room was laid right out as you walked to the counter. This is a huge problem for them, but I will get to that later. Much like the other three places I aforementioned, the ordering style is very much the same. You pick which burger you want, the plethora of toppings and then your choice of fries, either plain or Cajun. The price for a Bacon Cheeseburger, regular soda and fries came to about 11 and change. After eating everything, I thought the price was too high. The burger was decent. Nothing to really complain about there but the price. The fries however were outrageously salty and there were way too many for one to eat alone unless you are like that guy that recently ate over 20 pieces of fish at an all-you-can-eat buffet. My paper bag was overflowing with the saltiest fries I have ever eaten. So back to those bags of potatoes laid out like the red brick road when you first walk in. I always wondered where the red brick road led to and now I know. I am no accountant, but I feel Five Guys could save tens or hundreds of thousands by buying less potatoes and a more appropriate portion size. It was a waste and I heard my mother's voice echoing in my head about starving people around the world and here we have Five Guys just throwing food away. If I knew there were to be so many fries, I would not have ordered them. On a better note, the service was great and very helpful. Whether they are trying to compete with the overly nice team over at Smashburger or vice versa, Smashburger takes the cake on this one. For a review that was supposed to be about a burger that turned into a rant about fries and prices, I would pass on this place in the future unless certain things change. Support a local company like Home Run Burgers and perhaps Five Guys will see whats wrong with their model. read more

Honestly, was worried a bit about visiting this location but after having a great dinner, realized this reviews are wrong! What I love about Five Guys is how "homemade" their burgers taste. I get all the flavor and deliciousness of a home grilled burger without me doing the work. They have a mess of toppings (all free) to put on your burger--it's hard to go wrong. Got me a cheeseburger with my favorite fixings, order or fries and a drink. It was allll epically delicious! This location is great too! Staff was courteous and super generous with fries. Flat burgers that have no flavor. Bland hot dogs crammed into a flattened bun. I just don't get the appeal of this place. Their fries aren't bad, but everything else is just awful. Service is delivered by people who seem like they'd rather be anywhere on earth rather than here. These things combine to make me never want to return to a five guys. read more

So much better than Home Run. The burgers are high quality, the fries are always crispy, your toppings are unlimited, and the staff is the friendliest fast-food staff I have ever met. The restaurants are clean and I can always get in and out quickly. The junior burger is normal size and the normal burger is gigantic (for me). Always grill your onions and if you like spice order the brown mustard! However - if you are going to complain about greasy food, fast-food just opt for someplace else. I love Five Guys and do not understand all the low star reviews. My usual is a little bacon cheeseburger (with toppings) and my husband and I split a regular fry. The "little" cheeseburgers are still decent size and the regular fry provides plenty for the two of us. The customer service is always good and the food is oh so delicious! read more

I got a gift card from a friend and I got to have Mister's company this New Years weekend so off went the two guys to try the Five Guys burgers.It was crowded when we got there with a small line and one cashier.The place was bright,they had 50 lb bags of potatoes lined up (their fries are handcut),and they have big signs of reviews praising the place.They also have boxes of gratis peanuts in the shell for you to snack on. Burgers and dogs with various topping plus fries regular or cajun are on the menu.I got the bacon cheeseburger with cajun fries and Mister got the small bacon cheeseburger with regular fries and two waters (not bottled)- total $16.The cashier was very friendly and personable. We ordered at 6:26pm,got our order,grabbed a table,had a very little girl-too young for Mister even-visit our table to say hi,ate and were out the door at 6:57. The burgers were good,amount of fries tremendous(one order is ample for two adults).Cajun fries were okay next time I'd get the regular.It was good and fast but not really cheap considering we got burgers and fries.I think I prefer Home-Run burgers.No desserts on the menu so we went to Baskin-Robbins,and they were closed already! I love this place, but thankfully it is just far enough from the house. If I had one down the street I would be in serious trouble because these burgers are one of the best in town. I first had Five Guys Burgers in Georgia and was very excited to see them come to town. Not sure how they do it, but the meat, cheese, and toppings somehow melt together into one great burger. At some places the topping tend to fall off and don't seem to mesh well with the burger, but not here. The fries are awesome too, but you only need a regular the large can feed a family of 4. Fast service and a great product is a recipe for success in any business. read more

The first time I came here, my friend warned me to the get the Jr. burgers as opposed the regular sized ones. I haven't seen the regular sized burgers yet, but the Jr's are more than filling. Also, I love their cajun fries. The last time I was there my brown paper bag was overflowing with them. No way I would've been able to finish them but a very good deal! read more

We got take out dinner from here one recent night when we were both feeling lazy, and it was great. The portions were huge -- I'd recommend sharing an order of fries. The prices were a little higher than I was expecting for a burger place but it was a great, easy dinner solution. read more

This is our little grandson's FAVORITE place. We love it too. The burgers are huge and delicious, cooked to order. They will add toppings of your choice. Today I ordered a big cheeseburger (2 patties), a little cheeseburger and regular fries. My husband and I share the large, and our grandson (almost 5 years old) can polish off the little one by himself. The fries are more than enough for 3 people. The bill was a little over $18. Sounds like a lot for burgers and fries, but it's worth it. While you wait, you can sit at a table and crack open a few of the free roasted peanuts. read more

This is my go to burger place. Plus homemade fries!! . There is outdoor seating which is a plus. I have been here numerous times and honestly I can't think of a better burger place. Burgers are real beef. My daughter loves the hotdogs which I never get because I love the burgers!! read more

Some times you just need a greasy burger. Well you can get it here. This would be my third burger place. Behind smashburger and home run burger. I like a great value but they give way too many fries for an order(crazy to say) but I end up throwing more than half away. They do use peanut oil and advertise it so my wife can't eat there. read more

been to this location a few times. Been to other locations as well, including the first one. This one has ample space and that helps. The burgers are ok, but over priced. Really I wanted to give 3.5 stars, so I rounded up. I do like the fries ok, but they can be a little heavy. Wish they had better selection of cheeses. LOVE the peanuts though. read more

If you are looking for a real burger, then this is the place. They make them your way, with a variety of free toppings. I do, however, wish my burger would have been a bit hotter and my cheese melted more. I also would have like to had more seasoning on the fries. read more

The burgers we delectable! I loved the toppings, the fries, the thick slices of cheese! The only thing I didn't love was that a kitchen worker yelled out to me as I was getting a highchair for my son, "Hey, how many tattoos you got?" Which I ignored, because its tasteless. I'm here to eat dinner, not talk about tattoos with some random guy who is screaming from the kitchen. But I have that experience a lot of places and really doesn't reflect on the restaurant, but it still demerits a star for poor training or hiring practices or just random douche day. read more

Burgers were great, lots of toppings to choose from, and prepared quickly. The fries are thick and greasy, not bad, but there is no crunch to be found. We didn't care for the cajun fries at all. This was my first visit to a Five Guys and my only expectations were awesome fries, so I heard. I wish it were true...the fries were flavorful yet lukewarm at best, too greasy and soft, not the way I like my fries. After ready the reviews I had to see for myself. Seems the biggest problem for most was the large portion size. Well I had a double cheese burger and little fry. I ate every bite along with a tray of peanuts. The food was great just like every other Five Guys I have been in up and down the east coast. The fries were a mixture of soggy and crispy. Most complained about soggy fries. Well a lot of people like them that way. A least they are real fries cooked in peanut oil which is healthier than other places you may go. This restaurant has very good food, but the customer service lacks. I was told I had to wait 15 minutes for them just to take my order. Fast food is defined as food that is supposed to come to you fast and that did not happen. I decided I did not want anything anymore after waiting for the 15 minutes and when I was about to exit the door, the rude manager magically decided to start taking orders. read more
