I've never found a Five Guys that disappointed me. The quality and simplicity is universal. A massive quantity of fries - you want to get that cajun seasoning too. Pour some into the fry bag and shake it all up. The burgers are a good size, too. Nice and juicy with a ton of topping options. I always go for the grilled shrooms and onions, add barbecue sauce. I'll even spring for one of their milkshakes from time to time. The only negative is their high pricing, making the experience not so frequent, but always worth it. read more

I've actually heard a lot of good things about five guys and to be fair the food itself was pretty alright. Service was good, ambiance of an old diner is kinda overused (I mean it's fine but I don't get the hype). Let's start with the great, the fries are as amazing as most people say, the Cajun fries are iconic for a reason. They pack the bag full of the stuff (which I know is company policy, it's a trick to make you feel lucky, when literally every single time it happens). But that's about where the praise ends. The burgers were... ok? The shake I got was also pretty alright, not the best but good. With all this said, this review sounds like it should be a 3 star or maybe even a 4 star, but it's not for one reason... Value. One meal (burger, fries, drink) cost $20 which is actually kinda insane, that's twice the price of pretty much any other burger place I've been. Even at a sit down restaurant where I get service and the burgers are massive it's only around $15. So the food was pretty alright but for how much I spent, it should have been miraculous. No one else mentions this, it's maddening. 6/15 Get the fries, nothing else is worth it. And if you only have one good item, just become a fry place. read more

Burgers and fries are excellent. Every visit. I have no doubt, even the only Zagat rated restaurant in Lubbock has its off days but never when I've been here. The prices aren't outrageous. A family of 4 can eat for 30-35$. The atmosphere is pretty plain and it's entirely too loud but I can deal with it for the excellent food. The burgers are double patty unless you ask for a single or just order a small burger. The fries are fresh and delicious. Side note: they are plentiful so you don't need a large unless you're a glutton for punishment like me and stuff your face until you hate yourself. For this price I'm expecting a great cheese burger...I was somewhat disappointed the cheese burger didn't have any flavor and it's small compared to other burger places in town. Went in on a sunday at around 2pm... restaurant was steady but moving fast. Placed my order for a double cheeseburger with nearly all the toppings, regular fries and a regular drink. The young woman taking my order was friendly and got my order correct. Now, the price its a little high but for the quality of the food makes up for it! My order came out fast even though they were kind of busy(5-7 minutes). They have two soda machines, those new touchscreen kind ( I dont like those) too many options can take a while for people to make up their mind, especially kids, but that's besides the point. My burger was fat, juicy, and neat, the cook took the time and crafted a well made burger. & the fries oh my gosh, apart from being delicious, and well seasoned they gave you a ton of fries! We have been eating here since it opened and love Five Guys but the last 3 times we have eaten at this location it was not a good experience. They staff is a bunch of young kids who act like they really don't care if you eat here or not.
