Horrible service in Manteca today! Waiting on fries to be cooked while burgers get soggy. And attitude from the Manager to too it off...

Went for the first time ever since I have lived in Manteca ! I called and placed my order for a little bacon cheeseburger and large fries. Was told it would be ready in 10 mins. When I arrived to the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and neat it looked. It wasn't busy and I may have been the first customer. The two ladies that were working were pleasant and let me know that they don't prepare the fries until you get there so that they are fresh! The meal was on the pricier side but the burger and fries were delicious. Will be returning for sure !!!! read more

I was craving a good burger and was near this five guys location so I thought why not pop in and give it a try. Upon entering it's like all the other five guys restaurant with ample seating, bags of unopened peanuts and a simple menu. I ordered the little hamburger with everything a lemonade and little Cajun fries( I love their seasoning). When I receive my order my Burger King out juicy and fresh I love that they cut their patties with a little chard on them and it comes from fresh beef not frozen. My fries were even better with the wonderful seasoning and the extra scoop in the bag is always nice. I don't know if you're craving a decent burger five guys is a good choice especially for looking for something quick and easy. When I came they did have the milkshake machine back up and running so if you're craving something sweet they now have their famous milkshakes back up and ready for you to enjoy. read more

Went in 1PM 3/14/21. Cashier was Tiffany L. Placed an order 7 burgers, 2 fries and 1 shake. Informed her that we didnt want them to smash and over cook our burgers. We dont like them dry brown and crispy. Tiffany told the cook. I heard the cook later say I'm going to smash them. Tiffany again told her that's not what the customer wants. The cook came over to the counter. Didnt get her name but she was a short, fat, millenial with tatoos all over her arms. She argued with me. I reaffirmed to do what I paid for. She said if she doesn't smash them they will be raw. I told her smashing them only drys them out and burns them. I watched her smash burgers, cut them with a spatula. I said those better not be mine. She said thier not. I get home and they are smashed, crispy broken up pieces of dried hamburger. 5 guys used to searve juicy meat. Every backyard griller knows YOU DONT SMASH THE MEAT! read more

I honestly don't understand why this place is so pricey ... $19.01 for a little cheeseburger reg fries and reg milkshake.. the fries alone are $5.18, and small & they didn't even put extra fries in the bag like they do "others"..hmmm? ... Overpriced for the quality of food. Bun was super soggy, my burger fell apart with one bite. Meat had NO flavor, mushrooms had NO flavor.. everything in the burger had no flavor besides the cheese... & it was very minimal. Oh lord, where do I start? Be prepared for sticker shock when ordering, I paid $29 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks. Knowing how expensive it is I probably would have opted for one of the sit-down mom and pop places, like Thai or Mexican food. This wouldn't have mattered if it was a great burger, but I wasn't even halfway decent. My bun was stale and the toppings were seeping through, it was a mess. My brothers burger was over cooked. They were out of every soda under the sun, I drank diet caffeine-free Coke. Apparently they don't accept Amex even though their window sticker says so, so if you're thinking of using that Amex offer to come here, just a warning. Gonna drive myself over to In N Out next time and save myself from this joke of a restaurant. The only thing that came through was the Oreo shake, but even I can make a good shake at home in my Vitamix. This is a good middle ground for a burger. Higher quality burger than that McDonalds across the street and more casual than Chili's. I've gone here after school with my daughter. It wasn't crowded and service was good. Our burgers were just what we wanted. The fries were overkill. A small cup seems little but once you get the large it's too much. My daughter likes coming here because of the peanuts. It's a good distraction for her while we wait for our food. Much better than hearing "I'm hungry, it is done yet?" read more

This location is franchised owned and they have manipulated the prices where they are several dollars higher than the other locations. Horrible customer service . Got cut off in the middle of our order told us our total and stopped responding when we were done ordering. then when we got to the window we told them we weren't done and they started being rude. Also funny thing is the manager was behind them the entire time and they still were being rude after we have been nothing but patient and respectful. Tonight was my first night eating at this Manteca location.. when I went in the girl taking my order was very friendly and nice however the chef cooking my order messed the whole burger up , forgot bacon on my bacon cheese burger my grilled onions and mushrooms were cold and not grilled at all . I asked for bbq sauce in the side instead they put it all over my burger . Another employee walked in from outside and both chefs looked stoned. I just feel like for the price of a damn meal $22.00 for a bacon cheeseburger missing bacon small fry and drink I would expect a decent meal cmon how hard is it follow instructions . Very busy and things went wrong but still 5 stars because of the unexpectedly awesome way that the Manager and then the team member handled both issues. Online charged me but did not place order and then grill cheeses were made incorrectly. Again in both instances they turned it around by the way they fixed the problem. Our order took over 30 minutes for burgers and fries. The people were moving so incredibly slow. The least they could have done is let us know that there would be a long wait upon ordering. We had 6 super hungry kids and would have chosen to go elsewhere. Yum! I'm so happy we now have a local Five Guys!They have only been open for a short time, and our food was excellent! It cost a little more than a regular burger, but for good reason. I LOVE BURGERS! Always order the bacon cheesebuger lettuce wrap with all the standard fixin's. Boy is it sloppy as heck to eat, and I always waste a carton of napkins to wipe clean after each bite. So delish! Cajun fries with malt vinegar is a must! Tried the caramel bacon vanilla shake. My poor arteries. Lettuce wrap could've been better to earn 5 stars. read more

Very unsatisfied. Went here craving a burger with my wife. I used to get five guys all the time and remember how great the service was along with the food. My Cajun fries weren't seasoned with Cajun seasoning. Grilled unions not grilled. Asked for my wife's burger well done and it was still pink. She decided not to eat it. I've ordered from this location before and they seem to always be behind. Today was by far the worse. I waited 20 minutes over my expected order pick up time. On top of that the worker decided it was a smart idea to mix the Cajun fries and regular together in one bag. If the price were a little lower, I would be inclined to offer a 3. Here's the problem with 5 Guys- the level of burger doesn't quite measure up to the price level. Think of a burger about juuuust one step above In-N-Out, but at 3x the price. My husband and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and an order of both regular and Cajun fries. The burgers are surprisingly small and unremarkable relative to the price- I feel like I might have gotten an equal or better burger at a drive thru such as Carl's Jr. for less. The fries were soggy, greasy, and mushy, probably my least favorite of all time. The Cajun fries were especially yucky, not only super greasy and soggy but also seemed like they had wayyyy too much seasoning- it tasted like eating a tablespoon of straight McCormick seasoning, definite overkill. The service however was great, with friendly employees and our food arrived quickly. Nevertheless, for what you spend here, you could go and have a better burger at a sit down restaurant with a waitress and all.
