We had been to a dessert location near them and noticed cheesesteak so we had to come by. Very different from a lot of cheesesteaks we've had before, more sweet or flavorful like marinated to much in soy sauce. I very much enjoyed it and my leftovers. My cousin on the other hand is very picky and was only ok with it. We halved a sandwich and loaded fries I may come back again but I do suggest to try them out. Just keep in mind they might not taste like what you're used to. Small spot but pretty spacious with tables to sit. The ladies were sweet and the wait was ok. If you've never tired this place before...DON'T! My wife and I had the displeasure of trying this place and omg is it bad. Clearly this place has never seen or tasted a real Philly cheesesteak. This is an embarrassment to the name and city of Philadelphia. My wife and I ordered two cheesesteaks and two fries. The fries were SUPER greasy. So much so we only ate about 3 of them. You could also tell the grease they used was very very old. The fries tasted really bad, greasy and stale. Now on to the "cheesesteak". First off, it was served on two slices of what I call, French bread? Like a deli sandwich bread. HUH? Look, EVERYONE knows a cheesesteak comes on a sliced, soft bread roll. Not this French bread sandwich bread. Number 2, the meat had a sweet-savory taste to it. Like, sugar mixed with soy sauce. WTH?!? It was not good at ALL! You want to know the best part? Decided to try the new local cheesesteak spot in Manteca, and I'm glad to see a new business open with a simple but unique menu. The restaurant was very clean when we walked in, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We placed our order and noticed it's a bit on the pricey side--$14.95 for The Philly, plus an additional $5 more to add fries and a drink. The food came out quickly. The fries were okay but could've used a little more seasoning. Drink options are limited to canned soda, and they didn't have Dr Pepper or Pepsi, so I had to go with a Mountain Dew. The sandwich itself was filling--I didn't add extra meat and didn't feel like I needed to. While it's not a traditional Philly cheesesteak, it's still a good sandwich overall. We were super excited when this place opened, but equally disappointed when we ate the " cheesesteaks". These are Not real Philly cheesesteaks.. it might be more accurate to call them Philly melts... like the kind you can get at Denny's or most diners. The meat has a sweet Asian food kind of taste to it, they don't have the hot and sweet peppers, and they only use white and yellow American cheese. The bread is delicious tho.. soft thick French bread slices with butter spread on top.. however, there is more bread than meat, and that's not the kind of bread typically used for a Philly. They also don't have enough flavor options.. Jersey Mike's has a better Philly than this place, AND I have the option of provolone there. We decided to give this place another shot since the grand opening because y'all said the menu was only that small since you had just opened and would add more after.. it's been several months now, and no menu change.. not even new cheese options, which is what ultimately made me decide not to buy anything this time. I suggest y'all get the hot cherry peppers, the sweet bell peppers, and cheese options other than that nasty fake American cheese. That would be a good place to start. Solid 4 stars! The Philly Cheesesteak was juicy and full of flavor. The meat is ribeye along with great American cheese with onions and bell pepper. The bread was sturdy enough to support the meat and veggies without be tough to eat. The fries were hot, crispy and well seasoned. Can soda and bottle water for drink options. Staff were friendly, food was ready in about 5 minutes and the restaurant is clean. Not a huge place but nicely done. I'd say it's a bit on the pricey side especially for the can soda, but the sandwich was large enough for my wife and I to share for lunch and we both walked away full and happy. I thought to myself, NICE, a cheesesteak shop in Manteca It could be that I'm spoiled on really good cheesesteaks, or it could be I grew up in a time where shops didn't nickel and dime people. I want to support local businesses, but I also want value for my money and a good product. Rocky's barely offered one. Let me start by saying the flavor was not mind blowing, it was just meh IMHO. Now for the bad news....the "basic" cheesesteak is about 13 bucks, meat, cheese, onions, bread. Now the "Philly" has red and green bell peppers...for 2 bucks more. Basically a sprinkle bell peppers....last time I checked, I could get a whole red and a whole green bell pepper for less than a buck at the market. Ok.....so maybe theirs are "special" bell peppers. The crazy part...they charge to add bell peppers for 2.50. Speaking of 2.50....apparently mushrooms are magic too, for 2.50. Now here's some real mental gymnastics and math that don't math....my wife ordered the mushrooms and jalapeño cheesesteak.....she asked to have no jalapeños. (15.00), instead of offering to just sub more mushrooms in place of the jalapeños, the counter person changes her order to the original, cheesesteak then adds mushrooms for 2.50. Effectively charging us .50 more than the one she ordered. Now for even more fkry...you can make it a combo for an extra 5.50. This gets you a can of soda and fries. Look at the amount of fries you get with this "combo"... My honest opinion of this place, they could do better, and not overcharge for vegetables. Just incorporate the cost into the final sandwich, but do it fair. If they don't nickel and dime so much, A soda fountain would probably be better than cans. It was barely enough to wash down a sandwich. Also presentation could be better. Check it out for yourself, but I would say pass, unless they do better. read more

First off, I don't understand the low stars and the issue with the price. I got double meat, mush and jalapeño, w/ fries and it was more than enough. I only did it because of these reviews of "not enough" and that was not true at all! If I got half of what I ordered I'd be happy. Staff is about 3 people and they were quick to get my order in. Said 15 minutes while I can clearly see 3 orders being made from online. NO CALL ORDER, ONLY IN PERSON OR ONLINE. Tried calling, but they directed me to online which is fine I just came in. I was hoping to walk in and get a whiff of the food, but it honestly smelled like they cleaned and sanitized the seating area, cool!
