We have been coming to this location since a few weeks after it opened (waited for they hype and lines to die down). The employees are always very friendly and polite. The regular fries taste amazing are the perfect size for sharing! They are a bit expensive and they give too many for me to order for myself though, so I would recommend bringing someone to share them instead of skipping the fires! =) The size of the "little" single patty is perfect for me, and my husband can almost finish the "regular" double patty burger. The only drawback to the food is that I would like them to grill the onions more( or cut them smaller) so they caramelize. It seems like customers have figured out how to use the soda machine, so there is no longer a line backed up at the soda machine. I would give this place 5 stars if they cut down the wait time from when I order to when I get my food. I have ordered on-line from them once and that really helped with the wait time. The burgers were ready at the time they said they would be and I only waited a few minutes for them to make my fries fresh!! (This is their on-line ordering policy so the fries are always fresh!) Careless. The service I received at this location was poor compared to other five guys locations I have visited. The employee that I interacted with did not seem to fathom what customer service is. "Not trying" comes into mind. The employee made no eye contact, literally looked every other way except my direction as he rolled his eyes as if he didn't want to be there. There was no line, it wasn't busy, and I wasn't necessarily disrespected but your business is not appreciated here. The floors in both the work area and guest patio was filthy. I spoke to a few other patrons and they couldn't hold back from also stating similar comments. The fact these people make their own locals feel uncomfortable is disgusting. I've had there burgers twice now and they were really tasty both times, one of the staff went above and beyond, I felt like we were being waited on. There soda machine is pretty fun. I wouldn't however get jalapeños again, they were raw which isn't a flavor or texture I enjoy. But hey that was my choice to put them on. The price is the only reason for a loss of star. All five guys are good but the cook here knows what hes doing. I like my burger a lil bit pink and not chard at all. I also like them to cook the patty with bbq sauce and they do it right for me every time. Some of the ladies in there have a bit of an attitude but the food makes up for all of it. So glad this chain made it's way to Morgan Hill. I've been to the one at the plant, but I think this one is better. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly. One of the young men cleaning came up and talked to us for a while, as he did to a couple other tables. Very cordial. I was impressed with him and everyone that worked there. Being my usual skeptical self I held off from the Five Guys as just another passing trend, I mean it's just a burger and fries place right?...I was completely wrong, this place is fantastic! The burgers are delicious, juicy, nice buns, and they have any number of toppings available at no additional cost. The fries, also really good, real tater fries, not soggy, and they even have malt vinegar for them. Service is friendly and efficient and there are free peanuts to snack on whilst you wait. Pretty good food. Extra variety from your regular burger place. Fast service. Limited availability of seating especially during rush hours. Fries are great and they have the cool multiple drink soda machines. Have had a good time every time I have been here with no errors. More expensive than a normal quick fast food burger so make sure you get the good stuff and be fancy like Iggy Azalea. read more

This is not a cheep burger place and to get this bad of service and NO quality control, I'm thinking we're not going back. Used to love this place, very sad it went downhill! My husband and I went yesterday to get burgers, fries and peanut butter milkshakes. The cashier was having issues with taking an order while the manager was trying to issue a refund at the "same time" on the "same register"! I overheard the customer ahead of us say "last time we got shafted on the fries can you make sure we get them this time?" then he asked the cashier for a drink carrier, and the cashier tried to put it together, gave up and handed it to the customer and said "I don't know how to do this". While the customer put the carrier together, put his drinks in it and left, with a "sorry" from the girl employee behind the counter, the cashier was still trying to figure out how to assemble the carrier while totally ignoring us. My husband wanted to leave, he was very frustrated at this point, I was too hungry to leave. I had to ask " are you ready?" he finally gave up on the carrier and took our order. While waiting for our order I saw a girl go to the pickup count to get her fries they forgot, he told her "sorry". When I pickup up our order I had to ask "do I get our shakes from you?"... I was told I had to go back to the order counter and wait while the manager quickly made our shakes. He handed them to me without a word but the girl employee behind him lend past him and said "sorry". Three sorry's in a 20 min span is so not good. Five stars for the patties. Thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. Five stars for the toppings too. I love me a jalapeño burger. Unfortunately it all comes on a sad looking, soggy bun. There is just no excuse for a cheap soggy bun which falls apart in your hands, especially from a successful national chain. It's also impossible to talk or relax with the music blaring and the staff yelling. I realize they are trying to make a point here, but its just annoying to have staff belting out orders at the top of their lungs. Not authentic or exciting, and certainly didn't seem to help staff morale as they were giving each other dirty looks while I waited in line. I'm a little let down because, as good as the nearby competition is, sometimes you want a great big juicy burger, not a little quarter pound patty. From time to time, I splurge on the french fries, and let me tell you, they are awesome! Of course, the complimentary peanuts in the shell are fun to devour before getting my food. Typical Five Guys food but the painfully loud acid rock drove us and several other parties out to the patio in spite of the 90F weather. We've been to several other Five Guys and this is the least busy one we've seen. I think I know why! Looking at the reviews here it's obvious that the management of this 5G is not listening, probably because the painfully loud acid rock has destroyed their hearing. Usually I love Five Guys, but this was the worse experience in a restaurant I've ever had. After ordering and paying I notice the place was a mess, peanuts all over the floor, spills all around the soda machines! Aside from the messy floors and sticky tables, I had to wait exactly 1 hour and 2 minutes for a simple 2 sandwich order. When I asked one of the employees what was happening with my order all he said was "There is nothing I can do about it." And gave me a half smile. So finally when I got my order my appetite was gone due to the frustration, and on top of that the order was not correct at this point I didn't even bother to go complain. Was on the way to Gilroy Outlets and decided to try this place out and see what the hype was all about. Honestly it wasn't that bad. So I'm just going to keep it short. Pros - Reminds me of home made BBQ burgers. Bacon Cheeseburger was on point. Very fresh. So many different topping to choose from. Got the large cajun fries. MAN O MAN was it alot of damn fries. Could feed a family of 4 with that size. Fries was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Soda fountain was pretty cool with the touch screen. Free peanuts while you wait for your order. Staff was SUPER friendly and fast. Cons - Kind of on the pricey side. Almost $25.00 for 2 Bacon Cheeseburger, 2 drinks and fries. Music was SUPER LOUD. Didn't know if I was in the club or at a burger joint for a second. Decided to sit outside in the 90 degree heat instead, away from the music. Burger's was on the smaller size. IDK maybe I'm use to Nations Burger in Daly City. All in all, don't let the burger price and size fool you. It was tasty and fresh as F**K. But will I be going back to any five guys anytime soon?? Maybe the one in Burlingame since its closer to home. But I won't be rushing. read more
