I've never seen a less-than-awesome Five Guys location before now. Dang. A few months ago (maybe even a year?) I arrived at like 8:30 and was turned away at the door because they said they were closing early. I assumed there was an incident or something but that should have been my hint to not return, lol. I get good food here maybe 1 of every 3 times. Up til today, I kept trying to give it the benefit of the doubt because this particular location is the only not-great Five Guys I've had, but as of today I'm just not seeing myself return anytime soon. What I ordered: Bunless bacon burger, mustard, pickles, a-1. Nothing else. My current diet is strict. What I got: bunless burger, 1 strip of bacon, some tomatoes, and probably a half a cup of mayonnaise. Like, no lie. SO, SO much mayonnaise. If you're imagining an amount of mayo right now, I want you to literally double that. It's double what any reasonable human could tolerate, let alone one who hates and did not order mayonnaise. Lol. My real concern was this: What kind of serial killer did they think I was, that I'd order something with that much mayonnaise and almost nothing to go with it?! I figured I must have been talking too fast and somehow "nothing else" sounded like "all the mayonnaise you have" but when I checked my receipt, it listed my order just fine. I had to toss the burger out when I got home, lol. Save yourself the cash. Don't be turned off by Five Guys as a whole, but definitely don't stop at this one! read more

If you honestly think that 5 guys is over priced , then you do not deserver what you're paying for. They give you a whole ass bag of fries, and their ingredients are amazing. The only restaurant that I have been to, since I began eating at 5 guys, that has came close to beating the delecacy of what is a 5 guys burger was the Cheesecake Factory. The reason why 5 guys is better is because their perfomance is CONSISTENT! If you're one of those kiddos who think a 2 dollar burger at In-N-Out is better than what you get at 5 guys, then I hope you are having fun eating literal dog food. There was only one time that I disliked a strawberry shake that I ordered. Almost without even letting the words leave my mouth they fairly compensated me for the shake, and gave me a free drink. They were very generous and I will continue to eat here occasionally because I live far away. read more

Ordered online for pick up and they totally missed our order and said they didn't get it, until they searched it up on there computer. We ordered ahead for the reason of not wanting to wait such a long time there for them to make our food, and we ended up still having to wait even longer. After about being in the car for 8 hrs we stop and get something to eat. 5 guys sounds like a good idea and I order a hot dog. I sit there for 30 mins and they never call my number. My husband goes and checks and it turns out my hot dog was there the whole time they just forgot to call my number. After realizing the mistake instead of making a new one they hand me the now soggy cold inedible hot dog. So angry and tired. Oh and they had to close early because they ran out if hamburger meat. If your tired and starving you're better off going to McDonald's or a gas station. Or really anywhere, I'm so mad. read more

This location has failed to stay true to its mission with really disappointing service. We usually order online and when we pick up in store we are consistently ignored by all on the clock employees. Despite trying to get the attention of the employees (who are usually standing around pretending they don't see beyond the rim of their hat) the orders fall flat in the lack of fry order portions. All in all: terrible service and terribly disappointing food. UPDATE: this is the third time and final time we tried to order AT ALL from this franchise location--they ran out of hamburgers(2nd known time) and a closed the store. They claimed to have called our number to inform us (not the only time they failed to call) and REFUSED TO REFUND US immediately and INSULTED US loud enough for us to hear from behind the employee back room. AN EMPLOYEE from the back yelled, "tell her to go the f*ck away". Needless to say I was shocked that I was treated less stellar from a franchise location sharing the title of best hamburger franchise in the U.S. Seriously-- the Morgan Hill Taco Bell location has better service than this Five Guys. My husband went here last year with a few guys from work. I was excited to try it and support a local business during this pandemic. The service was wonderful! The food was not too good. Our burgers were soggy and the only cheese they have is American? I thought that this was going to be a better burger place than McDonalds or In and Out... not that we go to these places ...but it really isn't. Food is always good at all Five guys but the music being played at this location is way too loud. I notice people are actually eating outside even with the cold weather to escape from the loud music. We had to scream out our order to be heard and when they call out the order, the can't be heard. This is suppose to be a restaurant NOT A BAR In addition, they gave our order to someone else and had to start over. I have been to many Five Guy locations and this spot is my spot now. I thought to myself as I entered, "I hope I can eat my burger fast enough my bun doesn't get soggy" well I was pleasantly surprised when I took that first bite to find my bun had been toasted. Toasted! Then I thought , I remember when the other locations used to do this. Now, I am not sure if the other locations are in a hurry or what, but this little step transformed the taste and enjoyment of my burger. Everyone there was so pleasant and helpful. Doors were locked at 230 pm today (Sunday). Re-read the signs saying open seven days a week until 11 am to 10 pm. No signs saying different. We caught a lady leaving and walked in. Overhead on employee asking the cashier if she had locked both doors. I question if it was for a particular reason. Circuit explain that they had two new employees that felt overwhelmed with the recent orders. That they had already made many mistakes. They close the doors to not get any new orders temporarily. I asked the clerk if she would wish for us to leave; she asked the cook; neither had an answer. We decided to do them a favor and leave. We decided for them. I couldn't be upset at the cashier but wonder who the franchise owner set them up this way. read more

This location's employees have complete disregard for food safety. On my last visit, I observed the following: 1) The griller was cooking and cleaning out the meat drawer simultaneously, and did not change gloves the entire time performing both duties. When the patties were cooked, the griller transferred it using the spatula and one hand to prevent the patty from slipping off the spatula. 2) The fryer employee exhibited the same negligence as the griller. The employee was frying and cleaning the frying area with a broomstick. Not once did I see the employee change gloves when performing both tasks. 3) The burger prep table was very dirty with sauces and other toppings scattered on the surface. Is it really that hard to get a clean towel to wipe the surface clean? This will be my last visit of the location (Morgan Hill). Other locations seem to be a bit cleaner and more aware of their surroundings when it comes to food safety. read more

We love five guys but it was our first time and this location and it was pretty bad . We got our order to go , and when we got home and opened it up, they filled the fry cups not even half way. The fries aren't cheap and to not even fill them half way is pretty pathetic. Our bad for not checking them before we left. read more

Got there, nothing was ready, and rather than urgency on the staff's part to get the long overdue order out, it took literally another half hour (8:15) to get our food. I don't know how they do it, but this is one of my favorite lettuce-wrapped burgers. So often, it's the bun that makes a burger, but at FGBF, the burger without the bun has a ton of flavor. People have been hyping Five Guys to me since we saw construction start on it. I was wondering whether anything could live up to the hype... Well it certainly does in my book! See, I remember when In n Out first went in in the town I grew up in, around 93, and all the hype that surrounded it. In n Out has always been a favorite in my book. A novel concept with the amount of options and customizations and their "secret" menu- when I saw a Five Guys going in directly across from them in the corporate way of open competition I was intrigued but skeptical. Stopped in late last night around 10 and the line was out the door (again much like In n Out in the mid 90s) waiting in line they have bins of free shelled peanuts. So already I felt like I was getting a great value for my money. I ordered the much hyped bacon cheeseburger, a large Cajun fries and a soda. The place was packed out! After jostling my way to the soda machine i thought These things are cool! Big shiny red machines with a touch screen, you can select your usual assortment of coke products BUT you can also add flavored syrups! Kind of an automated old tyme soda shoppe! So after staving off hunger with peanuts and strawberry Sprite, I FINALLY got my order in a non-descript brown bag. I could barely wait till I got home. After unwrapping the foil (yes foil) wrapping and bit into my first Five Guys cheeseburger I can now see why people LOVE this place. Was it worth $17? I guess so. Been to a location in SJ a couple of years ago, my hubby and stepdaughter liked it okay but not me (sorry). When the news traveled that they were coming to MH we were quite excited for it is a nice addition to our little city. Hubby decided to try it again a couple of weeks ago and sad to say we both agreed that the food is pricey, the meat lacked seasoning, fries are good, soda machine awesome, and the dried peanuts are a nice touch. read more

My niece wanted to eat here so we came. I'm vegetarian and was really disappointed with their "veggie" option which was just grilled veggies with cheese on it. It was pretty greasy and definitely was cooked on the same grill with the meat. My niece loved her burger. The fries were really good. She also loved the soda fountain that they have that lets you add flavors to your drinks. I am a Five Guys fan but due to cleaning up what I eat (something similar to Paleo with no bread, potatoes, etc.,) it has been awhile since I have been to one. Tonight, I decided to splurge since we were staying at a nearby hotel. Big disappointment. The burger was good but not great and the Cajun fries were just hot with spices but not much flavor.
