We had such a wonderful field trip at In-N-Out! Our homeschool group is currently learning about California history, especially how the rise of car culture helped shape everyday life in California and eventually led to the growth of drive-through restaurants. Since In-N-Out was California's first drive-through hamburger stand, it was the perfect place for us to study that history in real life. Assistant Manager Matt made the experience truly special from the moment we arrived. He was waiting for us at the door, had tables set up for the kids, and even had things ready for them to take home. You could immediately tell how passionate he was about In-N-Out's history, the quality of the food, and the people behind the process. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely excited to answer all of the kids' questions. We were also so impressed by how much care goes into every burger and order of fries. Isaac, our potato expert, showed us the fresh potatoes, Molly was our tomato expert, Vicki was our onion expert, Anthony worked on the burgers, and the lettuce expert and front register team member were both wonderful as well. It was so fun to see each person's area of expertise, from slicing potatoes and preparing fresh produce to toasting buns and assembling each sandwich. We even learned that the cheese is folded slightly on each cheeseburger to give the burger a better final look. Such a small detail, but it really shows how much pride and care goes into their work. We left with a greater appreciation for In-N-Out's history, quality, teamwork, and consistency. This was such a memorable and meaningful field trip for our kids! read more

As a frequent In-N-Out customer, consistency is something I've come to expect, which is why the Morgan Hill location has been disappointing based on repeated experiences. I'm not writing this to bash the location, but to give a clear and factual account. The order was clearly stated with the initial order taker, including no cheese and spread on the Flying Dutchmans. However, when we reached the first window, the employee read the order back with cheese, which was incorrect and had to be corrected. If the initial order had been entered and listened to properly, that error would not have happened. After receiving our food at the second window and leaving the drive-thru, we discovered that none of the sides of lettuce or tomatoes were included, even though the receipt clearly lists three sides of lettuce and three sides of tomatoes. My Flying Dutchman was also missing spread -- and looking at the receipt, the spread was never entered for the Flying Dutchmans, only for the two hamburgers. This indicates another mistake at the ordering stage, despite it being clearly requested. In the past, I've contacted customer service regarding similar issues and was told that concerns would need to be handled by returning to the location for a remake. That's not a practical solution. Orders should be made correctly the first time, and customers shouldn't have to wait in a long drive-thru line only to receive incorrect food -- or be expected to return and wait again for a remake. Photos of the food received and the receipt are attached for reference. I understand mistakes can happen, but repeated breakdowns in order accuracy point to a larger issue with attention to detail. Reliability is what In-N-Out is known for, and I hope this location improves consistency going forward. read more

Probably the slowest In-N-Out I have ever been to, do not go here if you are used to the drive through line moving at a reasonable pace. I drove ALOT and in-n-out is one of the places I like to go to once a month or so and am used to the wait, which is usually not bad considering how long the line looks. I got in the drive through lane at around 10:30pm thinking it would take about 20 minutes to get through. WRONG. I timed each time we moved and on average it was around 7 minutes. By 11:30pm I had not even made it to the officially entrance of the drive through. There was no staff outside taking orders like normal and the inside did look any busier than normal. I witnessed 7 cars leave the line. The food was in-n-out quality but it was not worth the wait. I will not be coming back to this location when I drive through, the Gilroy location will be getting my business. read more

This was my first time here and to sum up the visit, i'd have to classify this particular In-N-Out Burger as being "TYPICAL"!! And I mean that in the BEST way possible!!!! Our party of 3 came directly over for some much needed lunch. After a few hours of roaming at a nearby pumpkin patch, under the hot beaming sun, we were in dire need of something ice cold & filling. As expected, the establishment was super clean with the help of an employee periodically circulating and tidying up. Our order was made as requested and food tasted just as good as any other visit to an In-N-Out location. You know they're doing something right when every locations dishes out the same deliciousness without any compromises. Not being from California, I had never had the opportunity to try this place. But obviously everybody says you've got to go there. I don't frequent fast food normally, but I did get a double double and fries and it definitely was hot and fresh and it beats McDonald's by landslide. They are super busy but they have a lot of people working so they crank the burgers out pretty quickly. For a fast food burger it was very tasty and hot & the onions and toppings were fresh. First time there. Took 15 minutes for simple order. The double/double sucks, the animal fries suck too. Trying to figure out why this place exists. In n out is a go to spot for my boyfriend and I. But this location is always in such a rush which turns into not so great service. Everytime we come here we get a "hello how are you" and asked for our order or given our food without given time to respond. If you're going to ask allow others to respond. If not don't even bother. I have worked in the food industry myself for many years and the amount of people coming in and out are not going to stop. Not only that but for some reason our order is never correct. Usually my flying Dutchman's are missing chilis I request to add on. But this last time I requested chilis on just my cheeseburger and next thing you know my boyfriend gets one in a bite of his burger. This ruined his experience as he was not looking to eat anything spicy in that moment and had to chug half the drink we got. Innout is a family favorite and is hands down one of my favorite places to grab a bite. This location in particular is my favorite. Staff are always so friendly and they keep the tables nice and clean. Last time an employee even offered to take our trays to toss for us. Since we typically do drive thru, my kids were thrilled to receive an activity pack with crayons when we dined in last time. I am so glad that the chilis are back for self service yummy gotta have extra spread and chopped chilis! I do miss the whole small chilis since those were spicier. Seriously the best In-N-Out Burger I hade ever had. I live in Southern California, and we have In-N-Out everywhere, so obviously, we eat there all the time. However, when we flew into San Jose late afternoon and wanted to grab a quick lunch, we made a b-line to the nearest In-N-Out. And let me tell you, not only were our burgers served, hot and fresh, they were cooked perfectly. The fries were even salted perfectly too!
