The cheeseburger was solid, but a little greasy. It also came with chopped onions that kept falling out so the burger. I would have preferred onions cut in circles so it's less messy. However, tell me why the freakin' guy with the sanitizer squirt bottle had to sanitize the counter while I was sitting there trying to enjoy my food while watching the hockey game. Stopped by recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The service was okay and the restaurant was clean during our visit, which is always appreciated. I'm a big fan of smash burgers, and while this wasn't exactly a smash style, it was still really good! This is one of our go to restaurants in the area when we are in the mood for some good burgers in a nice family friendly atmosphere. We recently came here for a Saturday dinner. The restaurant is located in a nice plaza area in Gilroy. Pizza my heart and Poke Bowl is next door. The parking is easily accessible in the medium size parking lot. The Bay Area sports memorabilia hanging on the walls is a nice touch. Multiple large TVs mounted on the walls and an exceptional beers list on tap gives the restaurant a solid sports bar vibe. Wine options available is a bonus as well. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich, Gilroy burger, grilled cheese, Gilroy garlic fries, and sweet chili wings. Everything is so delicious as always. My son loves his grilled cheese as it's one of his favorite grilled cheese sandwiches. The wings are juicy and savory with every bite. The staff is usually friendly and accommodating. This was our first time at Brew City. It was a short ride from the outlet mall and we had a great experience. The cashier was very nice and offered his recommendations. We both ordered the Gilroy garlic butter, one with a bun and the other as a lettuce wrap and garlic fries. The dining room was pleasant but we opted to dine outside because the weather and mountain views were beautiful. The garlic did not over power the burger, it was very good. They changed the fries!! It must have been recent too. They used to have the best fries!!! I would stop just for fries and a shake sometimes. Delicious. Last night, the fries were disappointing to say the least. They weren't undercooked but not golden brown as usual. There is some kind of nasty coating on them that leaves a sticky residue on your fingers and there was no fluffy potato on the inside like there used to be. I'm so sad. I am a cheeseburger connoisseur, and this is the best burger I've had in a very long time. It had so much flavor and was so juicy. I also got the Gilroy garlic fries, which were freaking delicious--not too garlicky, with an awesome amount of cheese. Went great with some ketchup. I stopped here on my way to Southern California and I'm so happy I did. They had a terrific hazy IPA--something with gummy worms in the name--and the only reason I found this place was because I tried to go to the Super Burger "drive-in" up the street (which, by the way, is not actually a drive-in). Plus, Brew City Burgers has a patio where I could bring my dog, which was really nice. Prices are a good value, definitely cheaper than what you'd pay just a few miles north. Crispy chicken sandwich was really good. Cooked fresh to order and very tasty. Greeted immediately upon entry. The kid taking our order was nice, but did not have the information about farm-to-table being locally sourced or whether the vinaigrette was made in-house. I don't blame him, it's been on par with new help at a number of places from this trip. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich is phenomenal. The chicken is treated with care to be flavorful and juicy. Wished the bun on this sandwich was toasted as much as it was on my burger. I got the Gilroy Garlic Burger, previously the Christopher Ranch Burger. Delicious with a toasted bun and deli style pickles. Be prepared, the garlic spread over the cheddar and beef is rich. Your gut will thank you. This place is pretty good and is well priced. I got the cheeseburger (4/5) which to me is a perfect size for a burger. The patty was made well, except that some parts of it was saltier than the rest, so the seasoning is a bit inconsistent. Other than that the vegetables are fresh, bun is soft, no complaints. The garlic fries (3/5) were all right. It tasted more like Parmesan than garlic so it was a bit disappointing. You get a good amount of fries though which is nice. The Oreo milk shake (3/5) was just all right too. Didn't really stand out to me. If there's anything I'd recommend here it would have to be the burger ofc. whichever woman was working the counter on Feb 4th 2026 around 7:25pm (i didn't catch her name) was very dismissive and rude for no reason. Her service towards everyone in front of us in line was spectacular and she even made casual conversation with customers... but when it came to my bf, instead of greeting him like she did everyone else, he was met with "What do you want?" and then she passive-aggressively dropped our food on the counter when it was ready and he had to put it back together. We ordered: - vegan burger (5/5 - delicious and filling and only $6??) - cheese burger (4/5) - garlic fries (1/5 - just save your money and order regular fries. Their "garlic fries" are just normal fries with garlic seasoning dumped on top, but they're very plain.
