Hot chicken tenders, sliders, and fries
Patricia A.

Had to come check out the tender spot in Morgan Hill. I think this is the only hot Louisiana style fried chicken in Morgan Hill came in on a weekday and the place was pretty slow so there was no line to wait in. Walked up to the counter placed our order and picked a spot at the corner booth. The ambience casual and laid-back with a couple of TVs playing movies for your viewing pleasure. The place is decorated with sports memorabilia and cartoons. Chicken was really flavorful and well prepared. Both the chicken tenders and sliders were very good. Their fries were cooked to perfection and were golden brown and crunchy. My grandson really enjoyed the chicken here and I can see us returning again in the near future for some more delicious chicken. You can also pick your spice level depending on what your taste buds can tolerate.

Hot Chicken Sliders and sweet potato fries

Stopped in for lunch at The Tender Spot while I needed a place to work on my laptop. The food came out quickly and the quality was excellent. They didn't skimp on sauces or portions, which I always appreciate. One of my biggest critiques with chicken sandwiches is when the fillet is paper-thin--but that wasn't the case here. The Tender Spot uses chicken tenders, and they were well-sized, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The sweet potato fries were also excellent; a lot of places dry them out, but these were cooked perfectly. Great quick service, solid portions, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'll definitely be back soon.

I'm a big fan of Nashville style hot chicken sandwiches but not on the very spicy level just with the right amount of kick. I was happy to hear our town finally opened a Nashville chicken sandwich restaurant recently. I arrived for a Thursday dinner at the Tender spot. The restaurant is located in a nice plaza in Morgan Hill off Monterey road. Mimosas restaurant use to be at this space for the past couple of years. Parking is accessible in the medium size parking lot. The restaurant has some colorful posters of random characters on their wall. There is a bar to the right and the counter where you order at is in the center. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I ordered the combo #5 which included one chicken slider, one chicken tender, a side of fries, Mac and cheese, and a side of their special sauce. Everything was delicious and fulfilling. The special sauce was tasty and went well with everything. The chicken slider and chicken tender was crisp and had the right amount of kick. Overall I enjoyed my experience at the Tender Spot. The staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely want to come back and try other items from the menu.

I LOVE Nashville hot chicken. So when I saw the Mimosa's sign on the building change to The Tender Spot, I got excited. I was wondering what I was going to do for lunch today and I remembered seeing this place. I drove over around noon and there were only a couple of people in the restaurant. It still pretty much looks the same as when it was Mimosa's. They even still have the bar, so you can get simple cocktails. The menu is a bit limited. All they have are tenders. You can get them by themselves, in a sandwich or in a bowl with mac-n-cheese, fries or rice. I decided to get a bowl with fries. I was surprised to discover that there is no upcharge for sweet potato fries, so that's what I got. They have 5 or 6 levels of heat and I went for the Inferno, which is 1 below the hottest one, (megadeath or something like that). I ordered the food to go and when I got home and opened the package, it made me cough. I thought, "oh yeah, this is gonna be good and painful". Unfortunately that turned out not to be the case. Sure it was hot but it wasn't bad at all. I'll have to try the hottest one next time. Chicken was good and the portion was decent. I'll be going back.

Honestly, this place is just okay, if you're craving a chicken sandwich then it gets the job done. Upon walking in, they have some cute murals/paintings on the wall and we were greeted instantly by the cashier. The people there were very nice and once we ordered our food, we poured our drink and waited about 10-15 minutes before getting our food. First impressions, the food looks good but they were also smaller than we had expected. Upon eating the sandwich, the flavor was good but the chicken wasn't as juicy as we would have liked. The fries were also dry as they were on the cold side (as if they were left out for some time).

Really good. The food was absolutely delicious. Lots of flavor, lots of spice. Service was also very good. And the ambiance was cool. Lots of fun wall art.

Came here again, I was surprised when I ordered the same item with the same cost -They upgraded to a bigger container with more portions. Definitely full filling! Ordered through doordash for easier pick up. Still had a few wait time. Other than that I liked their mango lemonade

Stopped by late on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the atmosphere was. The gentleman who assisted us offered excellent customer service. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. P.S. They also serve a wide variety of alcoholic beverages,

The Nashville Knockout

I'm gonna be so honest this food was really good. I've been bummed out since the KFC has been removed from Morgan Hill because it was my family's primary go to chicken spot. But now there aren't that many chicken places in this town unless it's from one of the fast food chains. But UNTIL the tender spot opened up I've found a new place! I got the Nashville Knock Out and I felt like was going to fully knock afterwards from how full I was. It had rice, mac & cheese, coleslaw, pickles and obviously chicken. I say it's a great place to eat and hangout with your friends because of how chill the place is. All the people who work there are great and super kind! ALSO you got to try their lemonades! They're so good that I finished mine before I even got my food.

#5,Chicken slider with a tender, sweet potato fries, white Mac and cheese.. strawberry lemonade Spice level "Hot stuff"..

I got to the place, very big inside and inviting feeling..good music selection I may add lol, from all the chicken spots I've been to I've crowned this spot #1.. only spot I know that offers 2 different kinds of Mac and cheese styles white and yellow I went with the white it was creamy and amazing flavors.. the chicken had a nice kick to it and that sauce that's on the side made it that much better with a honey pack as well, ooohhh they had sweet potato fries and that hit different frm regular fries it was a very good balance.. the service worker was a big help as well when I asked about the white Mac n cheese didn't disappoint.. and all the different drink options sounded good I went with a strawberry lemonade not overly sweet it was just rite and they have agua frescas too so that's amazing. I like the location where it sits because it's not a long drive frm Gilroy.

Combo 1 mild spice. Combo 3 with Inferno and Devil's Dare. Basically like eating a ghost pepper! prepare yourself!

I hate to be THAT person but if I am going to splurge on a takeout meal and that too, a not-so-healthy meal, then I expect it to be fairly decent and not a complete flop. First of all, there was literally no variety to the menu. The different menu items literally consisted of the same fried chicken sandwich only with a different sauce or additional condiments. Nevertheless, I got the Nashville Fire, which had the most variety of sauces/condiments and the only way I could describe it while being honest was that it was a complete mess. The sandwich was completely doused with sauce and resulted in a totally soggy sandwich. The fried chicken itself tasted overcooked, which is literally the one thing you don't want in fried chicken. If someone is desperate for fried chicken then I can maybe understand why they would turn to this truck to satisfy their craving. However, I think there are better places out there such as Starbird (yes, a chain restaurant) to get a decent fried chicken sandwich.

Our homeschool group is currently learning about…read moreCalifornia history, especially how the rise of car culture helped shape everyday life in California and eventually led to the growth of drive-through restaurants. Since In-N-Out was California's first drive-through hamburger stand, it was the perfect place for us to study that history in real life. Assistant Manager Matt made the experience truly special from the moment we arrived. He was waiting for us at the door, had tables set up for the kids, and even had things ready for them to take home. You could immediately tell how passionate he was about In-N-Out's history, the quality of the food, and the people behind the process. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely excited to answer all of the kids' questions. We were also so impressed by how much care goes into every burger and order of fries. Isaac, our potato expert, showed us the fresh potatoes, Molly was our tomato expert, Vicki was our onion expert, Anthony worked on the burgers, and the lettuce expert and front register team member were both wonderful as well. It was so fun to see each person's area of expertise, from slicing potatoes and preparing fresh produce to toasting buns and assembling each sandwich. We even learned that the cheese is folded slightly on each cheeseburger to give the burger a better final look. Such a small detail, but it really shows how much pride and care goes into their work. We left with a greater appreciation for In-N-Out's history, quality, teamwork, and consistency. This was such a memorable and meaningful field trip for our kids!

As a frequent In-N-Out customer, consistency is something I've come to expect, which is why the…read moreMorgan Hill location has been disappointing based on repeated experiences. I'm not writing this to bash the location, but to give a clear and factual account. The order was clearly stated with the initial order taker, including no cheese and spread on the Flying Dutchmans. However, when we reached the first window, the employee read the order back with cheese, which was incorrect and had to be corrected. If the initial order had been entered and listened to properly, that error would not have happened. After receiving our food at the second window and leaving the drive-thru, we discovered that none of the sides of lettuce or tomatoes were included, even though the receipt clearly lists three sides of lettuce and three sides of tomatoes. My Flying Dutchman was also missing spread -- and looking at the receipt, the spread was never entered for the Flying Dutchmans, only for the two hamburgers. This indicates another mistake at the ordering stage, despite it being clearly requested. In the past, I've contacted customer service regarding similar issues and was told that concerns would need to be handled by returning to the location for a remake. That's not a practical solution. Orders should be made correctly the first time, and customers shouldn't have to wait in a long drive-thru line only to receive incorrect food -- or be expected to return and wait again for a remake. Photos of the food received and the receipt are attached for reference. I understand mistakes can happen, but repeated breakdowns in order accuracy point to a larger issue with attention to detail. Reliability is what In-N-Out is known for, and I hope this location improves consistency going forward.
