I've been to this Five Guys location several times already, and I love it! The burgers taste so fresh, unlike many burger places. I love the atmosphere. This place is really clean and straight forward. You get to choose all the stuff you want in your burger. It's a tad bit pricey, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. That is the only con. My boyfriend and I ate here last night. . It was good, we were going back and forth between here and in n out, since we hadn't been here we decided to try it out. It's very similar to in n out BUT they don't have yellow banana peppers!!?? Whaatt? Lol kind of a deal breaker. I liked the fries a lot better than in n out and the burgers were more filling and customizable ( I'm referring to the single patty at in n out vs. the single patty at this place when I say "filling"). Came here once to try it out since I always go next door to In N Out. The service is fast and friendly. The burger was ok nothing really unique. The burger is a little on the messy side.The fries are good. They give you peanuts which is something different. Haven't been there since all rather eat next door. read more

I finally had to try the infamous Five Guys burger place that everyone has been raving about. Upon first walking in, there was not so much as an "how are you doing today?" from the cashier. I understand it was 4 o'clock in the afternoon and her shift had probably going for several hours, but it would have been a nice welcoming for especially a first-time customer such as myself. She also seemed very irritated when I was selecting the customized topping for my burger. Though I was picky, I was particular about what I wanted on it. Then, after taking my order, I was shuffling around my wallet for my debit card. During this time, she was tapping (very loudly) her pen on the counter, as if she was waiting for hours. Wow... I guess the big rave didn't compensate for the customer service that I experienced. As far as the food... I was expecting ALOT more than what I received. Yes, it was overpriced, but I thought to myself, that it had to be worth every penny. Unfortunately, I did not believe so. The meat seemed like great quality, but was very tasteless. Maybe, I came in on a bad day. On a better note, the fries were pretty good. It was crispy and some soggy. But, a great combo. Possibly, I will give this place another shot, possibly... One of the best burgers I have every had, I'm usuallty a die hard In and Out fan, It's funny because the location of this restuarant is literally across the street from In and Out, so me and my friends decided to try out Five Guys one day and we became an istant fan!! Diner-like feel, except no white cooks and milkshakes Cons: Annoying, blaring bad music inside Missing a key topping (hell charge me for it) CHILI. Doesn't exist. Fries were absolutely terrible...soaked though in oil, I don't care if its fried in baptized water if oil goes through fry and stains the fry, gets soggy and limp. Best fries by far are at habit burger, period, end of discussion. They forgot to put hot sauce in friends and steak sauce in my burger, even though they are on the receipt. They don't have combo meals, all items like fries and drink ordered separately-weird. 7+ bucks for a cheeseburger. Yes its a double, and unlimited tops so pricey but you get quality and variety. 4+ bucks for a regular fries....look like a small cup but they put so much in a bag that 2 people can easily share a regular....but again their fries are not good and burger so big not necessary. They dont have trays, all orders come in bags, even dine in; kinda annoying and weird again. Paid 28 bucks for 2 cheeseburgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks. Pricey. So why 4 stars? The burger. Central point. All you need to leave happy, just a solid delicious meaty double. Replaces habit as my 2nd fave (unami first) but this is my #1 for fast food type, and even though quality calls for higher price, cant come here too often, its a 10 mile round trip from porter ranch hills, and 11 bucks with drinky-poo. Not bad. When I'm feeling something a little different and more greasy than In-n-Out, I'll drop by Five Guys and get a burger with all the fixin's. The fries here are just okay, but the burger is pretty decent. What I like is the ability to customize your burger with toppings that aren't available at In-n-out. I like that they have peanuts everywhere that you can just eat while you're waiting and toss them on the floor. What I don't like is all the signs everywhere that say "VOTED BEST BURGER IN LA!" by some magazine that no one ever reads. Seriously, let the burger talk for itself. If its great, people will come back. I really get the feeling I'm being scammed because of all the freakin' signs. 9 times out of 10, when I'm feeling like a quick burger, I'll go to In-n-Out. But every once in a while, I'll mix it up with Five Guys. You should too, but don't go in expecting something incredible. read more

The burger was fresh and good. I got mine with grilled onions and mushrooms and bacon. $8 for just the burger is a tad absurd. I am not a member of the in and out burger cult, but their and fatburger's burgers are better and cheaper. I love fries like their Cajun fries, but these were overseasoned (and this is coming from someone who usually likes things like that with the more seasoning the better). However, I still basically enjoyed them. I made an internet order to avoid the lunch line and barely had a wait and there was still ample seating. The people who helped with my order were very nice. The french fries were very very good. hot and slightly crispy on the outside and mooshy on the inside. But the burger was just ok. The bun was really soggy and felt caked and heavy in my mouth. i ordered the cheese burger and the cheese itself was room temp and detracted from the flavor. Let's be honest here folks, if you've gotten this far with the reviews you already get a sense that this place is not very good. Yes, of course there will be those who like this place but I am definitely not one of them. In a nutshell, burgers were bad, soggy buns, tasteless meat and greasy fries. There was a long line to begin with but it did move fast. Stepping up to order, the young gal seemed distracted and I had my doubts my order was taken as I placed it. My son and I watched the burger assembly and watched as they processed orders. Given that this is a new place, I knew it would be busy but it became evident the staff was not ready for this Friday night crowd. We observed several customers return to the counter with burger in hand stating how it was not what they ordered. With our order finally up, we headed home and noted how greasy the bag was. Yes, fries are greasy but an extra shake on the fryer basket would not have hurt. When it comes to Pizza, east coast rules but leave the burger making to the west coast guys. I was in the mood for a burger and prepared to be impressed, but there were so many problems here it's hard to manage 2-star. First of all, the place is small, noisy and dirty. There's so many people standing around it's hard to get to the counter or drink stand. Second, they got my order wrong. Twice. The first was undercooked w/a red interior, the second forgot the bacon and put in a double meet pattie. But forget all this. How was the burger? Not so good. First of all, the bread was too wimpy for a burger. It came preflattened, then fell apart as I was eating. By the time I was halfway through the bread had fallen apart and I was left with a bare meat pattie in my hand. Yuck. The mushrooms and bacon magically had no taste, as though they weren't there. The lettuce wasn't crunchy. And the meat didn't fight back, like soft meatloaf. Bottom line is, give me a good InNOut, a Fatburger, Habit, or even a nice Islands, which is a clean, sane place for only a few dollars more. The worst thing was all the banners around the roof listing all the awards they've been voted. This burger isn't even in the top 30. Their fries are OK, not bad. Maybe this location is bad. It certainly gets worse reviews than the others. But I'm still having nightmares about the hunk of meat hanging in my hand w/a the bread peeled away and the condiments falling off. read more

I love burgers and I had heard about this place through my boyfriend. One opened up here in Northridge and he asked to go there for his bday, so I obliged. I did do my homework beforehand here on Yelp, read the mixed reviews and one can only make up their mind with their own experience. I ordered a medium sized cheeseburger with mushrooms.... they had me at "mushrooms". Its an ok burger, its just a bit messy and the patty lacks flavor and a bit on the dry side. Not to mention, its a bit on the pricey side for a burger and fries. I guess this is a hit or miss depending on your taste buds and your likes. For me, i'm going to keep it simple, if I want a burger, i'll go to In-N-Out which is next door to these guys and if I'm feeling like a whole lot of messy-goodness in a burger, I'll head down to Fatburger throwing in some chilli! Their customer service here is absolutely amazing, doesn't taste or feel like you are eating at a fast food restaurant. The burger OHMYGOSH amaaaaazing!!! This is what a burger should be! The burgers taste fresh, not frozen, and not like they have sit in a box on a fshelf for months. The burgers are juicy, thick and flavorful. Really excellent list of toppings, with things you never see, like grilled mushrooms! Yummy! And unlike The Habit, they actually get the order right every time! I also really like the convenience of ordering on the iPhone app, and having your order ready and waiting for you. Super convenient and easy! Fries could be a little better, but really my only complaint is that this place is LOUD, with music blaring, so we prefer to take out, rather than eat in. Other than that, this is far superior to either The Habit or In-N-Out. read more
