The food is always inconsistent but what makes the experience worse is the inconsistent menu and service. Something as simple as ordering a burger should NOT come down to semantics. I will come in and order their double char a certain way and I will get corrected "you mean the patty melt"? Mind you the patty melt is NOT on their menu. I come in today and ask for the patty melt and get rudely corrected by the moron on the speaker "WE DO NOT HAVE THAT HERE". When trying to explain I am cut off again... "I will just make it the way we have it". Now mind you they have NO IDEA how I want the burger. But at this point I just want to leave. Sure enough the burger is completely wrong with raw onions, no 1000 island and scant cheese. Experience COMPLETELY ruined. My go to is In n Out , but Habit Burger is a good option as well. Charbroiled burgers made to order so you will have a bit of a wait but to me that just means QUALITY. Got the charburger with cheese and it is a hefty burger. The Chicken Club comes on a toasty bread with grilled chicken, bacon, tomatoes, and a good amount of avocado. The avocado was fresh and green too. The fries are crispy but the best thing in my opinion are those tempura green beans! I forgot how good they are. Crispy and light on the batter with a nice crunch on the green bean. Not soggy at all and dipped in ranch is perfect! They also have this family deal which is pretty affordable- "family charboxes"- for $35-$40 you can get 4 burgers, 4 sides (fries, onion rings, green beans), and 4 sauces. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Surprisingly slow but it was early afternoon. Decided to eat inside and it was clean and maintained, and the restrooms as well. I had cravings for Habit Burger & Grill's yummy Grilled Chicken Salad with Honey Mustard. Almost forgot how delicious and healthy this option is. Not to mention they have enough pieces of grilled chicken breast to fill you up. Plenty servings of cherry tomatoes, grilled carrots, croutons, 4 pieces of sliced cucumbers and lots of green vegetables. I specifically asked for no onions in which they delivered. The drive thru service was fast and convenient. The young lady at the payment and food window was as very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Even asked us if we needed anything else or more napkins. It's that I have to say the service sucks when you order from a screen. Like today after placing my order I simply asked for my drinks. The lady that was attending the drive through window. Had that most ghetto look and said "WHAT" I then asked again if I could get the drinks for my order and she still then rolled her eyes sarcastically said "Here you go sir" This has been the first time she's been rude and at this point. I felt the need to make everyone else aware. Now for the food order was wrong and the burger patty was dry due to being over cooked. This place has gone downhill over the years. The last several times my family and I have been through the drive thru, service has been incredibly slow. However, we sucked it up and continued to come to this location. However, the last time we were there on 11/30/25, their credit card machine "glitched". The person working the window told me I had to tap my card again even though I received a notification from Chase regarding the pending charge. The employee told me that the pending charge would fall off because it did not process, leaving me with just one correct charge. Well apparently your machine was working after all. I now have a duplicate charge from Habit that day and have to go through the extra steps of opening a dispute with Chase which of course can only be done over the phone (already tried on my app) during business hours during the week. Every time I come here and go through the drive-thru I get the worst attitude from a female employee here (she either doesn't wear her name tag or covers it up). She is completely rude, talks over you and asks if there's anything else after everything you add to your order as if you're a burden to her. I know working in the fast food industry is hard, I get it. I worked in both fast food & different types of customer service. I know customers can be rude, but why would you be rude to people who are nice to you and who give you no reason to be rude? Maybe it's time to start looking for another job since you hate it so much & take it out on your customers. The food is cooked to order and always fresh! The Charburger is amazing and packed with flavor. Habit also has some of the best onion rings in the business. Plus the milkshake is one of the best in the land. The service is friendly! Be prepared to have a small wait time as they prepare your meal. The main issue here is their ground beef. It's not always served the same way to the customer . Half the time it's dry and burnt. The other half the time it's rubbery. And when these concerns are brought up to the managers, they usually seem annoyed like it isn't their fault. And the worst part is, 90% of the time, the remade burger tastes the same. Yet this place got the "burger of the year" award like every year? Something doesn't seem right with that. And I've other locations, and the experience is very similar. The staff here always gets my orders done prompty and correctly. You have the choice to order through the kiosk or in person. Once I get my food, they always ask if I need anything else and usually I don't. The burgers are super delicious and very filling. My friends also enjoy the fried green beans side as well as the side of fries. The menu has a good assortment of different burger options and they regularly have limited time menu choices up too. I enjoy the assortment of sauces and toppings offered (personally I don't need to use them) at the counter for customers to freely pick and choose from. Inside, the space is cleaned often and it's pleasing to sit down inside. Bathrooms are always clean too! Lots of available parking reserved for the Habit customers at their private lot. read more

This location is always busy. It's located near CSUN and always packed with students when school is in. The staff is friendly with great customer service. My order is always correct and they do have a self serve table for hot peppers. The outside sitting area is usually a mess, so they just need to clean more. Otherwise the inside is pretty clean and there's plenty of parking (private lot and street parking). read more

I went to this location to place an order and I asked for a Happy Meal for my child. After taking my food, I went to the car and checked the bags, and the kids' meal was missing. I went back inside and politely told the employee that the Happy Meal wasn't in the bag. Instead of helping, he responded, "I'm sure I gave it to you, you're lying." I never lie, and when I told him I'm not lying, he got angry and said, "I will call the police on you." This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would. I stopped by this Habit location tonight to get my wife her club sandwich. I have never visited this Habit location before even though I come to Northridge a lot so tonight was finally the time to try it out. This is one of the rare Habit to have a drive thru so I took advantage of that and I thought I made a good choice because there was only 2 cars in front of me. But I got stuck there for like 15 minutes because the car in front of me added new orders at the window and also had some of his orders wrong. I always use the mobile order and do store pickup so I'll likely stick to that moving forward. I got my wife her club sandwich and asked for bacon on the side along with no tomatoes. I also got her an order of French fries too. This drive thru only have 1 window where you pay and get your food. The brief interaction I had with the worker was great. I had dinner there a couple of nights ago. Char burger was served up piping hot and juicy and the onion rings were hot and crispy. The service was wonderful. The young woman working behind the counter was cheerful and had a great attitude and she asked if I wanted ranch sauce with my onion rings and brought me two large cups of it when all I needed was one. I was going to give one cup back to her but she had such a big smile on her face that I felt bad and didn't want to send back that cup of ranch. She's definitely an asset to this location. There was only one thing that was missing in all this, I didn't taste the charbroiled flavor in the burger that I remembered the last time I had a Habit burger a long while ago. Sat night 11/21 9pm Sad to give 2 stars but I have to be honest. I've never had a below good experience from this location. Tonight was the first time I was disappointed and dissatisfied with my meal. I ordered through the drive thru. My order was 2 char burgers with cheese and 1 Order of fries and 1 order of onion rings. I usually love their burgers and moan at every single bite. Sadly, that didn't happen tonight. First, no onion rings in the bag. That was SO very upsetting. I was looking forward to them. You know when your looking forward to something and then it doesn't happen....it's very disappointing. I order them every time. They are delicious. But no onion rings....I paid for them but nothing :-( second, the burgers and fries were warm not hot. That too was a bummer! Overall, in the food department, I was not satisfied and unhappy.
