I ordered the falafel pita with fries as well as grape leaves. The falafel pita was a WINNER. The falafel is so soft inside with a perfectly fried exterior. It exceeded my expectations and I would definitely go out of my way to order more of this falafel. Overall the pita sandwich was delicious and well sauced. The fries were standard fries that my toddler enjoyed. The grape leaves were good but a little pricey. I know grape leaves are a labor of love and they were delicious. I probably would try a different side in the future to get a little more bang for my buck. The person taking my order was so kind. In addition to the amazing falafel I enjoyed the hospitality and was surprised to get such a warm welcome from a business in a mall. It was served over deliciously flavored rice, a small bit of salad in the side, and a few small pieces of soft pita bread. My wife ordered the salmon kabob combo. It was comprised of two decent sized pieces of nicely cooked fish coated in Mediterranean spices. It was also served over rice with a small side salad and a few pieces of pita bread. We also ordered the crumb cake and the Greek jam tart. The crumb cake was a good sized piece for the price, and delicious. The jam tart was quite possibly my favorite part of the entire meal. It reminded me of what it would be if you combined a pie and a cake with strawberry jam inside of it. Absolutely worth trying and the price. I definitely suggest this place to anyone hankering for some Mediterranean flavors but don't feel like eating out to do so.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater. They don't skimp on their air-conditioning. It was a cool night so we ate outside which was nice, but what made it nicer was our wonderful waitress, Fanika(?), who had the most awesome, helpful, outgoing personality that makes a dining experience that much better. And she was right about the coconut espresso martini. It was delicious! She also mentioned that the menus are seasonal so I am looking forward to returning to Hooked when I'm back in OC and trying other meals. I'm hooked!!

The dining area was clean and the tables were well-monitored for cleaning. The trash can was overflowing but the tables were clean and there were plenty of clean tables to choose from, inside and outside. We chose an outdoor table and enjoyed our meals right then and there, where we shared our tortilla chips and inhaled our burrito bowls. I encourage you to check this place out when you're in the area and ready for your next burrito bowl fix.
