Well time to update my review. What else can I say, they are still rocking it! I've already told you how great the food is. Let me continue this time how great the staff is. First let's start at the heart of this place. The kitchen. These folks work super hard with terrific results. They not only produce great meals but they have the system down perfect. Next the wait staff. They have their A game as well. They pull from the kitchen as it is ready so it all arrives piping hot. My coffee mug is rarely dry (thank goodness, I need the caffeine) and my order is NEVER wrong. They are all very friendly. So why do I keep coming here? The first thing we noticed when we walked into Jimmy's Kitchen was how incredibly friendly and welcoming the entire staff was. We were greeted immediately and seated right away, and that level of hospitality continued throughout our entire visit. We ordered the hot cakes (pancakes), coffee, and the veggie omelet, and everything was delicious! The coffee was fresh and smooth, the pancakes were perfectly fluffy, and the veggie omelet was honestly one of the best I've ever had. Our server checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail and genuine kindness of the staff. When we were checking out, the person at the counter thanked us for coming in, and another staff member noticed us holding our leftover boxes and immediately made sure we had a bag to carry them in. The level of acknowledgment and hospitality we experienced at Jimmy's Kitchen is definitely something to be recognized. You just don't come across this kind of warmth and genuine friendliness very often anymore. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we felt completely welcomed and taken care of. My wife and I came here for breakfast. We both had the two egg breakfast with hash browns and english muffins and I added bacon to mine. The server was attentive and the food came out quickly. Neither my wife nor I liked the hash browns...they were soft, undercooked and brown for some reason with an unusual taste. We each ate about a third of them and gave up. I feel like the cook needs to figure out how to serve crispy hash browns and then this review would be five stars. read more

Pretty great! I almost got popped because they have mirror windows I guess to block the heat / sun so it looked closed. Sat right away, they have tees and stickers, read their chipped beef was the item to try - so I did and it was like my great grandma's that is good. I appreciated the young man who was working hard - like clock work every minute he would make a round to check for water fill ups and tables to clear. Stopped here for a weekday breakfast while down in the Ocean City area. First thing - they are open everyday, even though when we pulled up it looked like they were closed. Decor is a very bright and loud - we were sat in a booth and ordered quickly. I went with a coffee and a scrapple omelette with hashbrowns. Comes with the standard toast as well. I really appreciate the single serve variety of jellies and jams in the packets so I could have one of each. Lady was nice who waited on us. Appreciated it. Would recommend! read more

Someone in this establishment was a jerk about them not taking American Express. I've been using Amex for over 25 years. I proceeded to tell him Amex protects its users. I told him I would not be back, and that I was not even from around there, and he said I seemed angry like a jerk, I took that as him projecting. I told him I was not angry and that I would simply not be back. I am writing this to tell everyone to Forget that place and that guy, not even sure who the hell he was. I'm visiting my friend at his beach house right across the highway from Jimmy's, like literally can walk there in 3 minutes. He says "it's the best breakfast in Fenwick" and that he is a true regular there and never eats breakfast anywhere else. Usually he goes in alone and sits at the bar so today was the first time he came and sat in the diner with us (3 friends). He was NOT LYING. BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. Everything was made just right. I got the Nor'Easter with SOS and hotcakes. BEST HOTCAKES. BEST SOS (creamed chipped beef if you're lost). It's a very small place but the business they get proves that it's the best. A literal line out the door. Unless you get there right at 7am, expect a wait. And they're only open til noon so you gotta make time for this place. The service is outstanding too. If you can be patient enough to wait for a seat, it's friggin worth it. It's QUICK SERVICE for such a busy place. Between 4 of us, we ordered enough food to think it would take a minute, and it literally on took 5 minutes. Plus everyone is super nice. I could go on and on, but basically - you need to eat here. And it's so cheap for the quality of food and service. I haven't written a review in awhile and it's so good I had to write one. A classic place to eat on the shore with friendly service. The food here is great and reasonably priced. In the summer be prepared for a wait. When possible, I like ro sit at the small bar which has quick service and a great view of the kitchen and the art of churning out great breakfast and lunch plates. I agreed and asked if chipped beef gravy was homemade. She said yes!!!! I sat at the 8 person "bar" Jen took my order. She was a great and friendly person. I put in my order. Chipped beef gravy. Comes with hashbrowns and I added to eggs with coffee. I could see the guys cooking from my seat. I'm sure they made a mixed tape of all my likes! I heard Zeppelin, The Doors, and Bob Marley. I was in the right hole in the wall for sure. My entire plate needed NO salt or pepper!! It's was Perfect! Got Dang delicious! And for less than $17. Love coming here for breakfast. Just like a good old fashioned diner. It is conveniently located on the main road in Fenwick--so it's a great place to go before hitting the beach. Bottom Line: Very casual atmosphere with good coffee and quick and friendly service. All of those Yelp stars can't be wrong so my husband and I ventured to Jimmy's Kitchen on a cold February morning. We arrived about 8am and I think we were one of the las tables to be seated without a wait. Our friendly server quickly showed up with the coffee pot in hand. As a black coffee drinker I found their coffee to be smooth and tasty - no bitterness. Also, I realized from my fellow Yelpers that Jimmy's uses a random collection of coffee mugs. So if you ever wonder who wants your random non-matching coffee mugs, I think Jimmy's does! Being indecisive and curious about the SOS I ordered the Nor'Easter to share with my husband. Thee Nor'Esater has two eggs, two pieces of bacon, a sausage link, two pancakes, grits and SOS. Yep, all of that. I really enjoyed the sausage link and pancakes. As far as the SOS goes, I wish it had more chipped beef in it and it definitely needed a sturdy carb underneath it. I swiped a piece of delicious buttery toast from my husband as my "shingle." The pancakes were our favorite item and we nearly ate all of them. My husband ordered an veggie omelet with oatmeal which he enjoyed. It also came with the aforementioned delicious buttery toast. Ah, Ocean City, we meet again! After a rowdy night out catching up with friends, we were due for some brunch to soak it all up. Jimmy's Kitchen was the closest breakfast restaurant to our AirBNB so we decided to give it a shot. Although it's off season, the restaurant was buzzing. We waited a few minutes for an 8 top. The atmosphere has a small town, laid back feel. The decorations reminded me of grandma's house and the furniture was a bit outdated. I did love, however, how each place setting had a different coffee mug to match. In fact, I spotted a Yelp mug on a table near ours! Woop woop! The servers were only semi friendly, maybe because we were wearing Salisbury clothes (we had an alumni game) and college kids get a bad rep not to tip well.
