Always a meal and a show! I wish I could give 20 stars to make up for the dullards that leave bad reviews. I've been here 50+ times and have never had anything that is less than 5 stars. Came here yesterday with the family got a cheesesteak crab cake buffalo chicken wrap kids hot dog and crab soup. Everything was delicious the guy taking our order was cool laid back guy probably the owner. Walked in here to order a cheesesteak and onion rings and walked out a new regular customer. The service in the restaurant was great, super friendly staff, and really enjoyed talking to the owner(?)! Food was decent but not worth the wait, one hour and 20 minutes for 2 platters that costed $70. Unfortunately the roof was leaking in multiple spots due to the storm. At one point one of the owners, who was very friendly, handed about $20 in cash to two women who waited an extended period of time for their food as well. Is this our new annual stop? I think it might be... Every year we go to Ocean City, Maryland. While coming back from some Delaware beaches, we were hungry. I asked my wife to find somewhere "uptown"... She used yelp and found OC Uptown Eats. Fine, let's do it. We entered this small shop and were immediately greeted. We had no idea what we wanted, so we were advised to just call them when we were ready. We eventually settled on splitting the Tom Tom... A ribeye cheesesteak with onion rings. Have I ever had a cheesesteak in Ocean City? I really try to skip them the further away from Philly that I get. Some places just do steak on a roll... Just weird things. We were told we could eat inside and there were two bar stools by a little ledge. They moved some pamphlets to create more room and then brought out our cheesesteak. They split it in half and gave us two baskets. Fantastic service. This was a damn good cheesesteak. I can think of so many places in my home area that are worse cheesesteaks. Roll was great, steak was perfect, just good flavor. I'm thinking this is run by a husband and wife team. The woman was friendly and helpful. Patient too. The man came by and spoke to us for a decent amount of time. Both stressed the homemade quality of the food. He even handed us a complimentary water bottle, since it was a really hot day out there. We were planning to return and get some crab cakes to take home, but we left a day early and they weren't open. This year on our drive down, we stopped in Rehobeth for brunch. We were starving and coming back from a shopping trip at the Rehoboth outlets. We wanted to play mini golf on 139th street but wanted to get food first and didn't want to have to backtrack. My husband said to look up food places uptown so I googled uptown fast food and OC Uptown Eats came up - and it was on 141st street right before mini golf - perfect! I was originally going to get oysters and some soup but my husband wanted a cheesesteak and I thought that looked good too so we split the Tom Tom cheesesteak - a ribeye cheesesteak with onion rings. They even put as many other toppings on as you want I got mushrooms, peppers, lettuce, fried onions, etc. Also I loved that they toasted the roll. It was so good! The fried onion rings gave it a nice crunch and it Was nice to have all the extra toppings that you don't normally get. I live in Philly and this cheesesteak was better than most of the ones we have at home. The owners were the nicest people too and really care about customer service. They were talking to us the whole time we were in there. They were thoughtful and gave us a complimentary water bottle because it was really hot outside. It's a good thing we had it cause when we played mini golf we were dying out there haha. I really wanted to go back to get their crab cakes to take home but we had to leave a day early unexpectedly and when we left at 10:00 in the morning they weren't open yet. Found this interesting little place in the parking lot of a gas station. Looks like mostly a "to go" type of business but there are about 5 small tables outside to eat. Ordered from who I think is the owner. He was such an animated guy, making us laugh and offered suggestions on menu items. We grabbed a few drinks and headed outside to wait. While out there the owner came out and chatted about the restaurant, where we were from and the usual chit chat. He brought us sampling of his famous Maryland crap soup which was very good. I ordered the crab cake platter, which comes with 1 cake, fries and coleslaw. My wife got the small Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The owner mentioned he was the only place who used real Maryland crabs. With costs being so high, a lot of places use other types of crabs and market their items as "Maryland like" items. This crab cake was no lie. I've never had a crab cake with so much crab and so little filler. I dare to say it needed more filler to keep it from falling apart? Nah. The cake was spot on, the slaw had an interesting spice or flavor which was unique and you cant go wrong with fries. My wife's sandwich was good, not the best she's had but definitely not the worst. If you find yourself getting gas, maybe picking up a 6 pack in the neighboring liquor store and spot this place, park the car and go in. read more

This is really a gem hole in the wall place about a block from the condo we stay in every year. I only wish we tried it earlier. The husband and wife team that run this place really work their butts off to provide quality made to order food for their customers. Everything thing we ordered was excellent. Eric took our order and is a very funny friendly guy. I ordered a cup of Maryland Crab soup, probably the best I have ever had, stuffed with crab meat. I also had the brisket cheese steak with caramelized onions which was perfectly made on good bread. Hard to find outside of Philly. The fries that everyone shared were crisp and not greasy. My grandsons like their burgers made a specific way and these folks did not disappoint. Bacon cheeseburger with a generous portion of bacon and a plain burger with those excellent caramelized onions brought smiles and thumbs up. We all enjoyed the onion rings and mozzarella sticks. My wife really liked her chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce. We ordered a pizza, but we're told that the next batch of dough might be ready yet. After a quick conference they decided that it was and told us our order would take exactly 37 minutes. We came back at 45 minutes and he said I thought you forgot about us your order was done 8 minutes ago ;) he said his wife was not satisfied with the pizza and showed us a perfectly cooked pizza which he took $6 off the price. Run down tiny place with a terrible view of a gas station but .... the food is great! And the owners are amazing. You are taken care of the minute you approach the entrance. Order crab cakes in any combination and you will not regret it. They come in two options - broiled or fried. We ordered the fried ones and they were excellent - crispy on outside and moist on inside. I didn't taste any fillers , just huge chunks of deliciously fresh crab meat. Flounder was excellent as well - it is a filet, breaded and fried to crispness. We ordered a platter option but should have gone with the advise of the host and ordered it as a sandwich, it is truly easier to eat/ bite into. They don't serve beer or any alcohol and the choice of soft drinks is very limited but there is a small store next door with better choices if you prefer. Maryland crab soup was not a chowder type as I naively thought but a tomato broth based and is very thick - lots of different types of veggies' chunks in it. More like minestrone. Very good, especially if you combine with a sandwich or a wrap - a perfect lunch. I had the best experience today. Let me start by first highlighting the interaction with Eric. He is outstanding, funny, and made my day. We had a mixup on our order and Eric quickly corrected the issue. I would just go here to talk with Eric and watch the interaction with the kitchen. So much fun. Any wait to come back here! I'm so glad my friends walked by & found this place. Outside it says CRAB CAKES - CHEESESTEAKS - ICE CREAM so we decided to try some cheesesteaks. When we called we spoke to the friendliest man who has ever taken our order at any establishment. He seemed super excited about everything we wanted! We got a couple cheesesteaks and a cheesesteak pizza, as well as some fries, sweet potato fries, and an order of mozzarella sticks. It's is in the same parking lot as the Exxon. Small cute place. Immediately greeted when we walked in and could tell the guy who greeted us was the same guy from the phone. He told us they've been open for about three years and they had a crazy busy summer with a lot of business. The food was amazing, so I can see why! We asked about the ice cream, and they have a cooler in the front filled with locally made ice cream sandwiches. I've attached a picture of their selection. I got the cheesesteak with everything, no hots. It was huge and delicious. I have a pic of that too. Other people I was with got the Tom Tom sub, and some cheesesteaks with just a few toppings. I actually feel bad writing this review.... However, I must be objective and fair. So, I waited all summer to try this place. I was really really wanting to love this spot. Unfortunately, the photos of the food and what I got were completely different. I have had plenty of steak subs in my day and this review factors in those to the equation. Chicken cheesesteak sub- 2 stars for what I received. I may have made a mistake and caught them after season and they change up the products a little bit. What was expected was shaved chicken seasoned and sautéed on a good roll. What was received was nowhere close to this. The roll was the star, very good roll. So, I will be trying again to hopefully update this review. The filling/chicken was actually what I identified as "canned" chicken. I actually use canned chicken and I am fairly certain that this was that same product I use. It can't be anything other and that was kind of upsetting after seeing a picture on here of exactly what I was expecting. So, maybe I shouldn't have waited until the off season when they are probably watching product spoilage. I don't know, I only know what I got. I will be back! I really want to give this place 5 stars. Maryland Crab soup- 2.5 stars..... I had high hopes here as well. I have actually participated in and judged some crab soup competitions. I have had really good chef created crab soups. I make my own often and maybe I'm bias. I really think a good veg crab MUST have old bay that is clearly identifiable. This soup lacked that. This soup was full of crab meat, but somehow lacked that crab flavor. Typical tomato base with green beans, corn and possibly onion. Very generous portion of crab meat was placed on the top it seems per order. Again, maybe this is off season prep and mitigating losses, but I just was left wanting more from the flavor. The staff, I'll say they were the owners judging by the conversation, were a very lovely and engaging couple. Great attitude on the phone, very helpful and that carried over to the in store contact as well. Overall 5- Stars for service. This is why I feel bad for only giving 3 stars. However, I always, or should I say most always give 2 shots at a eatery. We all have them days. So I will be back in hopes to amend this review and I'm going to have some questions before placing my next order. Food gets an average score on the lower average side, maybe it's personal preference. But that delicious looking chicken cheesesteak in the photos is not what I got! We will try this again.
