Flavor of the burgers are unbelievable! I was a regular at a Five Guys in Vegas and moving out here I found that the Oxnard location is equally as good. This should be Negative Stars- Extremely bad experience. I placed a mobile order and it was supposed to be ready in 10 mins. I waited 15 minutes (25 minutes after placed the order) and order was not ready. There was plenty of walking customers ordering and they were given their food on time. At some point there was no other customer but me waiting and I asked about my order then a guy told me that it was going to take 5 mins. Now at almost 30 mins waiting, I notice there was no meat cooking at my order was still not ready and I asked and they told me that It was going to take another 6 minutes. At this point I asked why they fill all other costumers orders when My order was supposed to be first and no one was able to respond. Then I asked for my money back and they told me that I was going to need to call customer service. Totally Unacceptable, I asked for my money and a lady came and asked me to come to the register to get my money back. Seems that she was unsure how to do it and she when to the back a took like 8 minutes to return. There was no apology or anything, seems that the place is just by a bunch of kids that keep talking and laughing and not putting attention to their orders. While waiting I notice how dirty the cooking are was, with pieces of hamburgers, tomato lettuce on the floor and people preparing food stepping over the food on the floor. My girlfriend and I never been to 5 guys. My girl friend was really sick and craving a burger , so we decided to try out 5 guys . We got there and it was too cold in the restaurant and the food was over priced . We waited for are food for 40 min . We continued to check at the food pick up window every 5 min or so . We noticed that the service was slow so we gave them the benefit of the doubt . I final went to ask them about our order and they told me they thought we left. The burger was good. I ordered a double patty with grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers. I also got BBQ sauce on it, but I felt they didn't put very much of that on it. This review is more of a reflection on the service than the actual quality of the food. I had been driving for hours and needed to pull off the highway for food because it was getting late and I was starving. Got here at 9:05 pm- almost an hour before it closed. Ordered the Cajun fries and a little burger "for here". I asked for no mayo on the burger and assumed (wrongly, it turns out) that the cashier would know this meant "no mayo but everything else", not "no mayo and nothing else either". Waited almost 25 minutes for my food, which was packaged to go despite my order and even though the place was still open for anther 30 minutes. I had to unpack all my food from the paper bag and ended up making a mess, only to find a sad, very plain burger- none of their delicious toppings were on it!! By this time I was hungry and didn't have the time or patience to wait for them to spend another half hour remaking my food. Don't know that I'll ever come back to this location, if I do I'll definitely be very explicit with my order because the cashier clearly didn't give a crap. read more

I have been to other Five Guy locations and had better experiences than the one tonight in Oxnard. CA. My hamburger had zero flavor and my Cajun fries were not crispy as ordered and did not have any Cajun spice. The floor was not clean, fries on the floor. We just moved to Fresno, and have to say FG is my favorite hands down. However, there is ALWAYS room for improvement. Five Guys is a quality burger place with good fries and even better burgers. It may be a little pricey, but it is totally worth it. There is no In n Out in OH but there is FG. Not too excited about this burger place, it's OK, nothing too fancy or special about their burgers, and I also thought it was expensive for what they serve. The good thing is if you have a vegetarian person in your party, they do have some vegetarian options which are not veggie patties, so that was a plus. read more

OK... I read the reviews on Yelp AND the posters (on the walls inside Five Guys Burgers). I believed the hype and was expecting to have to best hamburger experience ever! SUCKER!! I really wanted it to be great! In my opinion, not even close to being a good burger, let alone the BEST burger. I got the bacon cheese burger with two meat patties and my wife got a single cheeseburger. The meat was so over-cooked it tasted like a charcoal briquett! No, I take that back... there was no taste at all! The meat patty was very thin. We spent nearly $20.00 and sorry to say, this was over-hyped, over-priced, dog crap. The fries were OK. I eat out 90% of the time and I get to sample a lot of different burgers. I believe that The Habit and Hook Burger are MUCH better choices! The Habit in the best value without a doubt. Hook Burger has great burgers but they're a little pricey. My recommendation is don't believe the hype. Just because it's new & different, doesn't make it good! read more
