I have been eating these tasty burgers since the 80's. I have always gotten great customer service and staff is fast friendly that takes care of you right away. Prices are pretty good. I usually never spend more than $15.00 on myself here. Plenty of parking. Great place to stop if you're in the area. read more

Old school burger joint that's been part of Oxnard for a very long time. I used to come here when I was a teenager and only ever got the burger and fries. Now that I'm a little older, I had to try the other items on the menu. Boy was I missing out! The Fried burrito and taquitos with cheese were amazing! Yes they are probably not the healthiest but damn they were so good. It's the type of food that you crave in the middle of the night. Next time I'm getting another fried burrito with chili to go along with my double cheeseburger. Perfect! Oh ya did I mention the prices are insanely fair? After driving by this place for over 2 decades now, I finally gave Buddy Burgers a try last week. Not being from Oxnard, I came back today for seconds since I was in the area. The burgers aren't too big, but they're honestly just the perfect size imo. Just the right amount of chili to patty and cheese ratio. I've tried the double chili burger and double chili cheese burger and both are very tasty. I also tried the chili bun which consisted of two regular burger buns with mustard and filled with chili. Also tasty! Their chili is really good, which is what made me come back again a week later honestly. Service was fast both times and they have seating out in the back if you want to eat there. I take it to go and I'd recommend coming during the day, as it is not in the best part of town. Definitely gives off that old school vibe feel that's so comforting. read more

Searched for "Best Chili Dog" in Ventura / Oxnard. This is what popped up. I figured OK, I'll roll the dice. It's a hole in the wall burger joint in the middle of downtown Oxnard. The chili was just crumbled hamburger meat that had very little sauce / texture. No flavor as you would expect in a chili sauce. On top of that, the bun was old and hard. Ordered a couple of cheese burgers and a hot dog for my family. We just got the basics so I can't give an account on the other items. We enjoyed them! Quick and to the point. Price point is great too. Feeding my family of 5 for under $30 dollars is always a "hell yeah" from me. We wanted to eat there, but there was a young guy smoking on the patio (which isn't really the facility's fault, considering it's a walk up on the street). It definitely looks like it could use a facelift, but hey, so could I. Best part is supporting a local small business and getting some grub read more

Nice and friendly fast service ... I appreciate that they can still operate being that all the ordering is done outside so you're not super exposed to people who may not be taking precautions with this Covid. Looks like it's only 2 people working at a time and they're still pretty fast , gives you the old school burger and fries place feel . Small business so you know in these Covid times it's good to be able to help the little guy when you can support . The chili cheese dog was very tasty. I've read other reviews and was surprised by them stating that they handled money and food poorly. This is not the case. They have a dedicated cashier who is the only one who handles money. The food is prepared by cooks. Also there is a seating area with tables in back. read more

I always try and support my local eateries when I can, and if you want a decent burger (think In-n-out size) without the lines I say Buddy Burgers is an awesome place to go. Personally I always do the cheeseburger and ask for peppers on the side, but can't go wrong with the chili dog option either. Try it - you'll like it ! read more

This place is a hole in the wall in Oxnard. It was shown to me several months ago, and I've gone multiple times since then. The food here is consistently great, and is very affordable. The chili dog or the chili burger is what I normally get with some fries. read more

Came out to visit family and of course I had to have a Buddy Burger, this place changed so much they should not-call buddy Burger. Burger's were very small and the menu is different the whole burger taste different that's all I got to say about that place would I go back no. Thank you I really hope the owners of buddy burgers reads this and changes their name because these are not buddy burgers. This place back in the day was a landmark and I don't know what happened to the menu. Original menu because this place sucks now. read more

Came here to get some lunch with a friend from work. He recommended the place so we went. I have to say I was very surprised at how affordable/cheap the food was here. I ordered a double chili cheese burger and some fries. The burger was cooked properly and seasoned well. But the chili is lacking greatly. The chili is very dry and not up to par with other places in the area with chili at all. I'd more so recommend getting just the usual burger here. I still plan on coming back and trying the rest of the food they have to offer. And my review may change then to more stars. The man at the window that took our order was very helpful and professional. Establishment was clean as far as I could tell/see. Overall I definitely recommend this place for a quick bite. And if you want a affordable cheap burger that's got really good taste and quality go here. read more

Good thing Britney had me covered. 4.5/5 Two drive thru lanes but only one for breakfast. Little bit of a wait. Thank for for the hand sanitizer wipe, especially after the biscuit. 5/5 Food Breakfast, yes. Chicken Egg and cheese biscuit added bacon with removed the cheese but yes to Chick-fil-A sauce. Fluffy biscuit, crispy chicken and bacon! Wonder how it would taste if it was spicy? Hmmm maybe next time. 5/5 App Rewards on the app sign up. Earn points for all your food.
