You guys are terrible. I placed an uberEats order at 8:24 PM. 6 minutes before delivery time closes. The poor ubereats guy was waiting for a while and the store closed the doors on him, per the Ubereats individual in our messages. I understand you may be frustrated but at least call me yourself and say "hey we won't be able to make the order. We won't be able to make." Instead you have me and my pregnant wife waiting like idiots for 35 minutes and the poor Uber eats guy is outside waiting. Such a shame. At least CALL us to say "hey we aren't making it." Have the damn decency to do that. The UberEats guy could've of been doing another order as well to make money. They really closed the doors on him and said "hey we can't give you the order." So 1. You made the order on time and didn't give it to him when he arrived before closing OR 2. You didn't make the order when the ticket was out at 8:24 pm and instead of calling and saying "hey we won't make it." You made us wait and the UberEats driver waste his time. Pathetic.

    Ready to order!

This is the fifth Five Guys I've been to. After trying to get to the Oakland location which was too hard to park near on a busy Friday night, I decided to go downtown to this location. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and chocolate milkshake. Overall it was a reasonably quick and smooth process, restaurant was clean and orderly. Despite being on the menu, I ordered a coffee milkshake only to be told they don't have that flavor and maybe haven't for about a year! Perhaps cover it on the menu after that long, haha. Fries were great as usual but weren't overflowing in the bag like I've had every time I've gone to the Ross Park Mall location. It truly felt like a 'small' because of that. Burger was good but this is the last time I'll get it with lettuce. Unlike Wahlburgers which gives a nice green leaf, this was the unpleasant white, hard type of lettuce which isn't for me personally.

You like traditional goto, must have, sandwich from Pittsburgh? If you do, this place is for you…read more This place was started by Joe Primanti in 1933 to feed shift workers from the local warehouses (coal and iron) and railroads. They are known for big sandwiches which now includes fries and cole slaw. The sandwiches provided value to workers...who were looking for a place to feed themselves to keep their energy up for a long shift. When you sit at the bar and you can only imagine the workers that sat here to feed themselves with what little they had. They found a sandwich between two pieces of soft Italian bread with a good balance of meat, cheese, cole slaw and fries...think energy and value. The history here is real and intense. Would I rate this as a culinary destination? Not particularly but I would say it's a must see to be part of US history as the town righted itself and came to life. The sandwich? I had the pastrami with cole slaw, egg, fries and tomato on Italian bread. Remarkably, the sandwich was light...despite it sounding heavy. The cabbage and tomatoes bring a great balance to the sandwich which makes it messy and remarkably light. Be prepared to get messy..so eat fast! I am probably talking too much about the sandwich...just go try it. The food is probably a 3.5 but it gets the extra .5 for the amazing history there. The service was great...well educated on the product, accommodating in every way. If you are in Pittsburgh, this is a must try.

The service was solid, the atmosphere feels authentic Pittsburgh with murals of local athletes and celebrities covering the walls, and the food still brought great flavor. It's one of those places where the history and vibe are part of the meal.

They gave us a few recommendations, and while we were waiting for our milkshakes, they even let us try some of their chocolate bark. I was honestly surprised by how good it was. The peanut butter marshmallow chocolate bark was my favorite, and my boyfriend ended up buying a few while I was in the restroom haha. We sat for a long time actually waiting for a server to come speak with us and get our drink order. So long, despite not being a full place, that I told my wife I wanted to get up and leave. I was very, very frustrated. I had been glancing at their menu on Yelp and saw some tacos that I wanted to try, unfortunately the restaurant cut their menu back to only five tacos to choose from. I'm guessing to simplify things for the Draft crowd that they anticipated coming. Our server finally came to take our drink order and after so long we knew what we wanted. The server wasn't exactly friendly or attentive. We started with street corn as an appetizer, it was awesome. My wife had the chicken tacos and didn't like them. She said they were mushy and had an off flavor that she didn't enjoy. I had the birria tacos. They were not bad, they didn't come with any sauce/juice as all the other birria tacos I've ever had typically come with. I have to say, I was disappointed in the menu being reduced and other than the street corn app., just wasn't impressed. The service was not good, my wife's taco were bad and my were okay. I'll not be rushing back unfortunately.

I've tried all the heavy hitters in the slightly-elevated-burgers tier (the one above McDonaldss and BK). In N Out, Five Guys, and Super Duper. I'd say Super Duper and Shake Shack are the top two. I got the SmokeShack double with bacon, cheese, and cherry peppers. Yummy. The sweetness and smokiness add a bit of depth that In N Out doesn't have. Would repeat. If I was feeling voracious I would've opted for the cheese fries! But decided didn't want to feel too heavy/gassy on the flight :) They even have bottled sparkling water, which I got. The wait wasn't bad, and they have a small, dedicated seating area -- but you could easily take the food anywhere you want. Recommended when dining at the airport. Would repeat.
