Came to the Selden location to fix my Five Guys Fry habit. I brought my sister along as it would be her first time. We LOVED it! We sat and ate there. We even got to indulge in the free peanuts! Of course I stayed veggie with only fries & peanuts, but my sister is feening for their "Big Juicy Burgers". It seems that they used fresh ground beef, not the frozen stuff. The Large "Fry to fly" was humungous! Definitely enough to for two people....Unless one of them is a fry freak like me! Lol The resturaunt is clean, the staff were over the top nice & efficient. Definitely not a place I'd go to often. The service is slow, the place is dirty, and the grilled cheese was absolutely disgusting and the fries aren't good either. The only good thing about this place really is their milkshakes. Very disappointed I was expecting more. Would not recommend and probably won't be going back. read more

Not good ,,,service was not good the man taking the order kept holding his ear to tell us to speak louder he didn't hear us BECAUSE WE ARE DEAF ....he saw us signing ..my daughter and myself have "deaf voice " we speak very low but can be understood...also the food was extreme sloppiness..spent $40 on 4 hamburgers and fries way over priced ,,not a fan at all won't go back again. read more

Burgers are very good and you can add as many toppings at one pretty high price. They put too much seasoning on cajun fries so I like to get regular fries and add the seasoning myself. I wish they had a few more options for toppings (makes me angry that they don't have blue cheese) the regular hamburger is a double which I didn't know my first time there and it was too much meat for me so I get a junior which is a regular burger size. The only place I know that has vinegar so I can dip my fries in. Fries are made from real potatoes that are fried in peanut oil however the food is soo greasy you can see it staining the paper bag. The free peanuts are a nice touch so you can snack while you wait, And you will wait. read more

I honestly don't get all the hype. If you've ever been to the west coast, the obvious comparison as an upscale burger joint is In-n-out. It's twice as expensive and not nearly as good. While their burgers are ok (and just "ok", nothing more than that), their fries are greasy and soggy. You might want to look in the area for a better offer, especially since their prices probably match many smaller and family-owned joints. Also, don't forget that fresher ingredients don't help with the main problem of fast food joints: the meals deliver too many calories, mostly in the form of fat and carbs, which will not keep you full for long. Burger, fries and soda are about 1500 calories together, which is 100% of the daily expenditure for a smallish woman, and a ridiculous amount of calories for a sedentary man. Unless your job is to hurl stones up a mountain, you *will* get fat if you eat here regularly. I know it's a common problem to all fast food joints, but it's worth restating it here, just in case you thought fresher = healthier = lighter. I think their fries are actually the fattest I've ever eaten :D read more

With "chains" like 5 Guys the expectation is that the food will be consistent, as it is here and because it's 5 Guys...consistently good. As such, When I walk into these places my review is less about the food, more about the service and the cleanliness. Everytime I've been here, at least a couple staff is patrolling the dining area and cleaning up tables. Great greasy grub in a clean establishment = :). read more

BUT if you're looking to eat an amazing burger and fries, then this is the place for you. I've been to several Five Guys locations and have always enjoyed my food and left feeling satisfied. My most recent trip was with four of my dental school bros and we all had burgers (the regular/double patty ones) and shared one large bag of fries. One would think a large fries is not enough to share with five hungry guys, yes we were five guys at Five Guys, but it was plenty. So if you're in the mood for great burger/fry meal and don't want to wait on the long lines at "Shmake Shmack", grab some FREE peanuts at Five Guys and enjoy a mouth watering burger. read more

Well, let me just say, poor poor customer satisfaction. I will never eat at this 5 guys again. Drove there from Yaphank, a good 20 minute drive. Met some friends on my recommendation. They had run out of burger buns!!! How does a burger joint run out of buns. Needless to say, we didn't have burgers. We decided pizza was in order. Really good burgers ( or at least they were before I gave up meat for 2017). You order them with the toppings you like and they are FILLING. I always got a jr. cheeseburger because that was more than enough. Which is why I'm giving this location 3 stars. The prices are on the pricey side which is a bummer. This particular location is always on the dirty side. The tables always have little bits of food on them, or some of the free peanut shells. They never seem to bus the tables quick enough even though they may be empty. I've heard horror stories about the bathroom. read more

PROS: - You purchase a burger, and get to add anything you want on it such as mushrooms, onions, peppers, sauces, etc. which is included in the 6-7$ you are spending. - If you stack your toppings, you will be REALLY full at the end of it. - The fries are good, and I don't even like fries! - Cheesy cheeseburger goodness. CONS: - Oily. But, that's a burger for you. - Gets a little messy sometimes, but nothing some napkins can't handle. - Slightly expensive but you get over it once you start eating. Notes: - a regular burger has *two* beef patties instead of one. A 'little' burger has one patty. So if you don't specify which one you want, you'll get a two-patty burger. - Clean space, friendly customer service. You gotta try Five Guys at least once in your life, so go. read more

The food is really really good! Very satisfied with the taste but it takes a very long time for them to prepare an order. Granted they are very busy but I find there could be more efficient ways to speed things up. All in all though delicious and worth trying! read more

You must be kidding. What a disappointment! Frozen burger patties ONLY served well done and squeezed of all its juices by a kid smashing the patty with his spatula. Fries were generous and ok. The soda machine with all its endless combos was the most excitng thing here. Serice was slow with but 3 customers-the teenager was too busy talking to his friends and the kid did not appear to get what a cook line means. Not worth the trip. read more

Spending some time out on Long Island for the holidays, some relatives took me to Five Guys, a fast-food restaurant that i had never been to before ...and what a pleasant surprise ! the food was excellent (they even offer a vegetarian sandwich for non-meat eaters) ....really loved the french fries :) the staff is very friendly and the environment casual and very clean too. and, best of all, they offer you all the free peanuts you can eat ! a wonderful and unique place :) read more

Awesome burger place that disguises its fast food roots. The burger selection is amazing, and I recommend that everyone try the bacon cheeseburger (though your diet will be ruined). Also, munch on some public peanuts while you wait (which seems like a health-code violation waiting to happen). Finally, the fries are fantastic, but eat them quickly since the grease gets messy and runny when cold. In sum, come here is you're starving, and want to walk out in a food-coma! read more

I have never in my life, tasted a burger this satisfying. The manager and franchise owner were there to promote the store and wow...what good men. I am so happy to try this before I die, even if that meal knocked a year or two off. Better than you can ever find anywhere. Please give them your business...they deserve it. If you are looking for a burger and you don't want to get one from a typical fast food place, this could be an option for you. The single party burger is more than enough food for the average diner (I do believe the patty is fresh) and the fries can definitely be shared, especially with the extra scoop they toss in the bag. It's not bad food at all, but I really don't care for it because I find it to be greasy and I prefer my fries crispy and while they are good, they generally aren't crispy. I know people love this place and I respect that, but due to the greasiness and that I'm overall not impressed by the flavor, I would rather drive the excessive distance to Shake Shack. read more

This five guys is awsome. The food is always great and on point. My only recomendation is to season the meat a little more and season the fries less. After eatiny five guys fries you can feel the salt in your blood. That may be a little drastic but the fries are oversalted and the meat is underseasoned. The milkshakes are on point and i always go to five guys for a shake. I recomend a double bacon cheeseburger with what ever toppings you like. Get some fries. Id say a medium is enough for 2 people. Service is decent, they arent the nicest but they arent rude. Also the place could be a little cleaner. read more

Okay, so we've been here a few times. The burgers are always good. Really good. But from there...fries are fresh, hot and plentiful but I have a couple of issues. Firstly, I love potato skins on baked potatoes but not on my fries. It messes with the taste of the potato. Secondly and more importantly, the fries should be a little thicker. Their fries come out overcooked on the inside. They could take a lesson from Thrashers Fries in ocean city MD. Hot dogs are tasty, but I'd prefer if they weren't split. The dogs were too expensive. My husband & I ate here once. The burgers were good a little greasy. The drawback for me was the drinks. I wanted fresh brewed sweet iced tea. Lots of soda though. They give really hot fries. Will probably go again soon though. read more
