Bon G. And I were in the area and found LLG in the area. We frequented the one in Hicksville but this has different owner. We went in and we're greeted by nice server that accommodated all our needs. We got hot tea,which incidentally was $.95 apiece. For appys we got Thai Wings and Shrimp Dumplings.. wings good but Dumplings meh! Our mains were Pad Ki Mao and Spicy Basil Chicken... both good and large portions. They are not a beef centric place so place and menu don't offer much. Not enough staff I guess.. Waited and hour and half for a medium sized order. Food is good, but they don't deliver on the promised times. Sat in lobby waiting for another 45 minutes post stated time. I eat in for lunch all the time and yea the foods great but I'll never do takeout again. 1.5 hours is unacceptable unless I was told 1.5 hours from the get go... I am a fair judge though so although this should lose a star for the time inconvenience, the food is great and the staff is friendly therefore that sorta kinda makes up for it. Just hire more folks or dont take more business than can be handled. read more

This was the most disappointing take out experience I've had in a long time. This was my first time at this Thai spot. This was also my first time having bad Thai food. I got a Drunken Noodle with extra chicken. First, there was minimal chicken in there, but some other Thai places are cheap with the chicken, so I didn't count this against them. HOWEVER, the chicken looked like it was boiled with no seasoning and had the consistency of looking like it was already chewed up and spit out. This was also supposed to be extra spicy and it was barely a 2/5 heat (compared to how other Thai places rate their heat). The food also had this weird diet soda-like aftertaste, as if artificial sweeteners or some other type of chemical was used in it (not saying it was, but that's how it tasted). Very disappointed, especially since I had high hopes for this place given their 4/5 star average. I don't know if the quality dropped significantly recently or if this was a freak encounter. read more

I believe the Pad Thai from here is the best. It's has the right amount of sauce, not a dripping mess like some places. Medium spice suits me fine. The staff is minimal but they always manage to be there when I expect them. The lunch pricing is very reasonable. I never fail to stop here when I am in town. read more

Their tom ka soup is good, but almost nothing else is. Their pad thai, a basic staple of Thai cooking, is dry and flavorless. I had to add soy sauce and sri racha to make it better. Their siu mai (a Chinese dish) was also super weird, which is not surprising considering that it's Cantonese, not Thai. The sauteed beef with basil was tasty. So, in all, half the food was good and half wasn't. I'll get just those few items, but avoid the rest in the future. read more

While today is Valentine's Day, it did take awhile for the food to come out...which is understandable. I ordered the eggplant vegetable entree and for $14, am pleased with how the eggplant was cooked with the sweet chili sauce. The portion was nothing to complaint about and it came with one small rice portion. My son had his usual Pad See Ew with chicken which was sauteed rice noodle with gravy sauce with Chinese broccoli and chicken. My wife had the Lard Nar which was stir fried rice noodle topped with Chinese broccoli and beef as her protein. Her dish looked quite similar to Pad See Ew. They liked their dish but wasn't floored about it. All in all, I would give this place a strong 3 stars and would recommend. This place is incredible!! I've been craving Thai food for so long and this tastes even better than the Thai food in the city. The panang curry is incredible and so flavorful. While I still absolutely love this place, we had a not-so-great experience with a lunch dish that went unresolved so I feel the need to mention it here. One of the lunch dishes we ordered was a beef curry which was nicely flavored and spiced, but the beef was very fatty. This was brought to the attention of our server, as the beef was barely edible. Despite leaving behind pretty much all of the beef, nothing was done (discount? free lunch? offer of something else to eat?) to remedy the situation. My favorite Thai restaurant whenever I'm around Stony Brook University. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big and filling.
