This location has the potential to be great if they would follow through more often than they do. The dining room closes at 9PM an hour prior to closing time. However, by 8:40-:45 consistently you're encouraged not to dine in. I work most evenings so this is not a one time occurrence, this is just about every time. Employees will sometimes come around and deliver the party line that it would be their pleasure to get you drink refills, etc. but too often they don't come back to do so and I have to go up to the counter for assistance. Rarely to never am I given a tray in the evening, always paper bags when I do manage to get there in enough time to be allowed to sit and dine (still haven't figured out what the sweet spot is leading up to 9:00). The Valentine's Day dinner event was advertised via an email my husband received for having the app as going to 9PM. He did the RSVP and was confirmed for 8:40 with a table meant to be waiting for us. We arrived on time but did not receive table service but rather had to order at the counter and got the good 'ole paper bags and the singer was putting her keyboard and equipment away...only the kind mascot was left to remind us of why we had chosen to join in on this event. So, I'd say follow through PLEASE as appearances/promises are simply not enough all the time especially on a holiday. read more

I rarely review fast food chain restaurants, but when I go out of town, I appreciate good service and good food when I experience it, even if it's fast food. What can I say more about Chick-fil-A that hasn't already been said about their ridiculously delicious chicken? I really can't. However, I will say that this location is as good as any I've been to across the country. One, the parking lot was huge and had plenty of space, like many locations that are located in surburban neighborhoods. Second, the restaurant was also very clean, well kept and had a play area for kids in the back. No garbage was out of place that I could notice. Third, the service was fantastic. From the moment we walked in and hopped onto the line, we were greeted by a cashier in a friendly manner. After we ordered, we were told to get a table and our food would be brought to us, which it was very quickly - within 30 seconds of sitting. The food was impressively organized on our tray and neatly presented, with our waffle fries leaning gently on our entrees at the same angle. Lastly, the food. Need I say more? The chicken and fries were fresh and ever so delicious as always. The drive thru line is really insane at most times. They try to be efficient, with employees outside taking your order, to move the traffic along. This is the 2nd time my order was wrong, because you don't get a chance to read a menu. So, I waited on line for a half hour, only to get home and find an incorrect order. Very frustrating. This is an amazing fast food restaurant. The best chicken I've ever had. Everyone is so nice and friendly with impeccable manners. I have been coming here since it opened. Pregnant with baby number three and dealing with a little morning sickness, the lovely lady was patient with me trying to figure out what I wanted (they were taking orders outside on such a beautiful day today). Very grateful for her patience and loving attitude. The gentleman who handed me my food had a beautiful smile. I wish there was a place closer to me, but then I'd be broke maybe LOL. I was so happy that this place opened up in my area! I have never had any experience with them prior to this Chik Fil A. The service is extremely quick and their staff are really accommodating. I love the clever art work they have around the restaurant. Though my only complaint is the Photoshopped picture of the cow on the subway does not have the reflection of the cow on the window. Anyone who goes there regularly will probably notice it. I usually order the #2 Spicy chicken or #7Chicken Club. As for drinks I normally get the half and half ( half ice tea and lemonade, have to specifically request it) and a cookies and cream milk shake. I also think it's really cool they have a play pen for kids and sanitary wipes literally everywhere to prevent the spread of germs. One of my biggest factors of liking a restaurant is the cleanliness of the bathroom; I remember someone telling me once a kitchen is only as clean as their bathroom. Their bathroom is always so clean! People may think I'm strange for always bringing this up but I feel it is the un-asked question everyone craves to know. Over all everything is great here! Dropped in for some lunch after a morning of apple picking. The restaurant itself is not very big but it is very clean. They have instrumental Christian music playing from the speakers, so refreshing! They have a small playground area for kids 52 inches and shorter. It consists of a few steps which lead to a small tunnel and slide. At the bottom are a few puzzle like games to play. My toddler enjoyed it however there were a few bigger kids coming in and yelling at each other which made me uneasy. I tried their frosted coffee - delicious and highly recommended. I got the spicy chicken sandwich as well and it was definitely spicy, yum. Their waffle fries are good. Everyone I went with enjoyed their meal choices; my son's kid meal came with honest juice, a plus for me. The chik fil a sauce was tasty too. Their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were amazing! Prices were as expected for fast food. If you like chicken, go for it! read more

This is probably one of the highest rated reviews I've ever given to a fast food joint. Ever. First off, this Chick-fil-A is located in Port Jefferson Station, which is quite a drive from where I'm at in Queens. Tonight however, my co-worker took me here straight from work in Islip, so it wasn't as bad; about a 20 minute drive. Plenty of parking in the lot. Inside, it has the standard layout of most fast food joints like Wendy's or BK, but it does have a warmer feel. Definitely a lot more organized and well maintained. We didn't have to wait on line for long to place an order. While waiting, I did observe the people working there. They seemed like a "well-oiled machine"; very organized and working quickly but effectively. Customer interaction was pleasant and always with a smile. That is almost unheard of! LOL I ordered a Grilled Chicken Club sandwich w/ bacon and a strawberry shake and my friend had a classic Chick-fil-A Chicken Deluxe sandwich. The cashier took my name down and I was given a yellow tub looking thing to take with me to my table and the food will be delivered to me. About 10mins later, both our sandwiches were hand delivered to us by another worker there. I was kinda surprised by it, but my co-worker asked her, how did she know which order was ours. The worker said: "Red hair, black jacket, black rimmed glasses." She didn't have to tell me what my description was..LOLL Since I was the ONLY Asian guy there. -_- Anyways, food was pretty good. My chicken sandwich was juicy, and delicious. Bacon added a nice crisp to the grilled chicken. Their signature sauce was really good as a condiment. My strawberry shake was good too! It had the right consistency, not too thick and it actually tasted like they used real strawberries; none of that artificial taste to it. My first experience with Chick-fil-A was definitely a winner! I heard there will be 2 more locations opening up in Commack and Hicksville, so definitely happy about that. I'm looking forward to my next visit! :D read more

This is New York's first free standing restaurant "and" its in Suffolk County Long Island. So suck it Nassau county!! (Sorry, pet peeve. They get Shake Shack, DQ and Popeyes) I just had Chick-fil-A in Tampa last month. It was nice, quite and orderly. In Long Island? PANDAMONIUM! And that's a good thing folks. I first have to say, Chick-fil-A is not open on Sunday. The business wants their workers to have a family/church day, there is no reason to keep the machine spinning 7 days a week. Does that make sense? If so, I'll continue. The community is getting excited about Chick-fil-A. They'll accept the business closed on Sunday for a good sandwich. And that's what I had tonight for dinner. A spicy deluxe chicken sandwich fried in peanut oil. Oh yeah and the famous Chick-fil-A waffle fries. (And a cookies & creme milk shake ;) Mmm mm good! The folks managing the crowds had a southern accent. They were all very polite and able to mange the crowds and kept the food coming out perfectly. With the volume of customers, there were no inconsistencies with our order. The restaurant was clean, the food was good and the serving folks were friendly. Does it get any better? I can't express this enough but I am truly thankful for the workers here at this location, i ordered my food at the wrong location and this store was VERY accommodating ! They offered too give me my food there then proceeded too give me a free meal for my troubles:( like?! It literally made my whole day and not only that but the nice guy that was attending us told us it would take 5 min too get ready,we pull over next thing I know I look up and he's already coming out with our food. As a southerner transplant to the Northeast, there are times I just long for Chick-fil-A. Real chicken, never frozen, cut up and prepared by a real chef in a kitchen...yes, fast food done right. So tonight we made the hour long trip from Bayside Queens to Port Jefferson for the taste of the south. Thinking it had been a few weeks since the opening, we would probably be clear of the hoards of people...oh were we wrong. There it was, the building of delishousness....a freestanding Chick-fil-A. Everyone at the light was making a u-turn to delicious chicken sandwiches. Turning into the parking lot it was apparent that the word was out, this place is the holy grail of chicken. The line of people was coming out of the front door almost to the drive thru exit. We were committed, so we too stood in line to wait our turn. The line moved consistently but the wait still was around 20 minutes. (This line never ceased to be this long during our meal up until we left. The drive thru was double lane with 30 cars in each lane) The staff was super friendly, just like their southern cousins. I had the original sandwich with waffle fries and a sweet tea (with free refills). It was awesome just like all of the other locations I have visited. G had the grilled chicken club and he said it was really good. We did get to meet the owner of this location. He did confirm, what I had found out about from a different store manage (un-named of course to protect my sources), that a Chick-fil-A is coming to Westbury, NY.....but there are some delays, but yes yes yes yes, it's coming closer. Can you imagine Old Country Road with a Chick-fil-A grand opening? Chaos! But bring on the chaos please. I'm really not a fast food frequenter but if I have to have it this is where I turn. And I've been turning here a LOT since they opened. Ok, maybe the occasional late-night drunken greasy Taco Bell run but c'mon, who doesn't turn to the Bell after a night of shenanigans?? So let's stay on track. The fries are good, never greasy and just the right amount of salt. The best sandwich is the #1 or the #3 (the spicy one), my friend who is a Chick-fil-a aficionado was right -- forget the lettuce, forget the tomato, forget the cheese -- get the sandwich with just pickles and whatever sauce you like or even just mayo. It's the pouch they serve it in that steams the bun and makes it oh so delicious. And it's an actual chicken breast, not some pressed together mystery meat formed into something to resemble a chicken breast. And the sweet tea, nuggets and strips -- holla, they are amazing too. Go, you won't be disappointed. Just not on a Sunday, which is usually when the urge hits. I am writing this review now because I attempted to escalate this to the corporate office in March but no one followed up. With all of the people getting sick from salads I think consumers should be more conscious of food quality problems. We purchased a market salad Wednesday evening from the Port Jefferson, NY store around 9pm on Mar 14, 2018. While I was eating it I found globs of fury black mold on the chicken, the strawberries were rotting and some the lettuce was wilting. The thought that I had eaten some of the mold caused me to regurgitate immediately. I returned the salad on Thursday Mar 15, 2018 to Sean McClosky who apologized, refunded the cost of the order and gave me two cards for free meals. He indicated that there were controls to monitor the freshness of the food and that he would look into it. I am appalled that this salad was not slightly dated but that it had been around long enough to have mold throughout AND that the strawberries were fully rotted and lettuce noticeably wilted. I'm thankful for the refund but outraged at the thought I may have eaten mold. If this salad could be sold in this condition what other food is lacking in freshness. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE by anyone's standards!!! I sent a message to the corporate office on Facebook in Mar 16, 2018 and after receiving the standard response "Thank you for reaching out! If you could, please provide more information as to the nature of your inquiry so we may direct you accordingly" and sent a reply no one ever messaged back. I also called the department of health and they performed an inspection. Their report indicated no findings at the time of inspection. I did note however the prior inspection by the DOH noted some findings that may have been relevant to salad prep. In June 2018 assuming the issues had been addressed I returned to use the cards only to find their use was limited to fried chicken sandwiches or fried nuggets, not grilled which is our preference. The salesperson was less than accommodating, seeing as I only had them because of poor food quality from my earlier visit. I've always enjoyed eating at Chik Fil A (why I have 2 stars) but too many people are getting sick because companies are not paying enough attention to food quality. read more

2 of my children got food poisoning today. They both had spicy chicken sandwiches and are sick. The other times I've eaten there I've also been unimpressed. Compared to the Chick fil A in Commack and in Hicksville...this is by far the worst location. This place is amazing, the staff are kind, the place is really clean, the food is good and I really enjoy going there after a long day at work. I highly recommend coming here if you're hungry. Just an FWI if you're worried about waiting a long time download the Chick-fil-A app sign up, and do a mobile carry out order, then click you're there before you get there and usually it will be done by the time you arrive. This allows you to skip the ordering process and prevents errors in your order. You go to where it says "mobile carry out orders. And ensure it says your first and last initial. Just if they aren't busy at all the food could get cold. But the food usually stay warm for a good period of time. read more

I knew nothing of Chick Fil A before the buzz spread throughout Long Island upon its grand opening. Decided to finally give this place a try and I wasn't disappointed! I live for their chicken sandwiches they are so delicious! I've honestly never tasted chicken from a fast food joint as good as this one. It's so tender and juicy and tastes minimally processed (though I'm sure it's not). Chick Fil A is a winner in my book. Their sauces are great too. I absolutely love this place. I don't live near this chick fil a so it's always a treat to get it. The food is absolutely amazing. All of their food always taste fresh, and the biggest are always crispy. Along with their fries, chick-fil-a signature sauce, polynesian sauce (my personal favorite ) and their lemonade (etc) are always as good and just how I expect. The people that work there are wonderful. I've never had one bad experience with one of their employees. I love how well kept the place is , their decor is so cute like all the pictures of the rat more chicken cow for example. The exterior is always so neat and the grass is never over grown. Chick-fil-A never disappoints. I got their spicy deluxe meal and substituted their waffle fries for chicken soup for an additional $1.36. Their chicken sandwich was very crispy, but the bread crumbed easily. The chicken soup tasted a tad better than the average. The customer service was great and everyone is always smiling and friendly. Customers also have the option of choosing take out and sitting in. If you opt to stay, you will receive a cone and they will find you at the table you place the cone. read more
