I've been coming here monthly for years now. The quality and service is excellent. The food fresh and delicious. I order online, and my food is ready when I get there, paid for online with a tip. I just walk in and pick it up and say thank you. The quality of the burgers exceed many typical restaurants, including a recent trip to TGIF in CI, with friends, (which was mediocre at best). I usually order the double shack burger from SS, and it never disappoints. There is one downside, the shakes are full of chemicals as are the fries. I don't order these, so that doesn't affect me. Just wanted to give a shoutout to the super friendly staff especially on a busy Friday night! Despite ties to both coasts, I still prefer Shake Shack to other fast food chains. Their buns are fluffier and patties are juicer. The shroom burger with the gush of cheese and nicely fried mushroom as well as the creamy shake sauce clearly have won my heart. Also love the option to get malted shakes. Planning to go back to try the holiday shakes when I get a chance. This is probably one of their best stores by far. The customer service is great, the pick up time is super accurate, their efficiency is unmatched in the chains of Shake Shacks around New York. The parking lot is huge and indoor seating is available. Solid choice. Great service and great food. Pricey but you can't complain when the service rivals Chick-fil-A yet it's a nyc chain. Crazy how authentic ny this place is including the employees but the culture in here is a good example of excellent hospitality. Wenever they get an order wrong which happens i always get a nice response from them and they never dismiss me or behave rudely no matter what location of shake shack I'm at. Honestly, this is a solid burger spot. I came with my mom last night before heading to the mall to shop around and we were both satisfied and content. I found the single shack burger to be pretty tasty. It had fresh lettuce and tomatoes on it which was a huge plus. The fries were super crispy and salted (as they should be) I enjoyed those more. My mom as we as a burger got cheese fries and a hot dog, although unappetizing the hot dog she said was delicious. The downside was the cheese for the cheese fries, not even close to nacho cheese and just had a really weird after taste to it. Not pictured are the shakes we enjoyed, those were top notch. A California native, I fell in love with Shake Shack during my time living in NYC before they started to branch out and expand everywhere. The best quality fast food I may have ever tasted: delicious and fresh burgers, cheese fries as a guilty pleasure side, and development of an odd foodie goal to try different stores' location specific Signature Concrete. Upon meeting my husband, a Suffolk County native, the Shake Shack in Lake Grove quickly became one of our favorite places to get a burger while we were still dating and continues to be a solid Shake Shack location after all these years with great food and friendly, efficient service. I have a staple order when visiting any Shake Shack: a single patty cheeseburger with sliced onions and bacon, cheese fries (cheese on the side), and if I have room, a small concrete (preferably one that is location specific to that store if available). The Lake Grove location doesn't disappoint! My burger and fries are always fantastic and super fresh here. However the show stopper for me is the Lemon Grove concrete. A taste of heaven for anyone who may enjoy a treat of lemon, custard, and graham crackers. It's always the perfect way to end my Shake Shack meal while visiting this location. Service has always been friendly and efficient. I order both from the app and in store and in both cases, my food is always ready in a timely manner. This location does an excellent job of pumping the orders out quickly without sacrificing quality or care in the meals they serve. One thing I may note is that I recently made a curbside order and we had some trouble figuring out where to pick up the food. We ended up following the worker as she brought out curbside orders to two other parties trying to figure out where the curbside pick up area was located, but couldn't establish a specific place since she was dropping off the orders in different parts surrounding the outside of the store. We eventually got our food after calling out from a randomly empty spot along the curb in front of the establishment. The girl who took my order was very polite , attentive and friendly. Although the burgers are a bit smaller then other places I find that they are so much more tasty and delicious . LOL bigger isn't always better ! You will be paying a bit more for these burgers but it is certainly well worth it , you are getting a more superior burger ! It's good to know that the burgers are made using top quality grass fed Angus beef with no hormones or antibiotics . They are grilled and placed on a soft sweet potato bun with very fresh lettuce and tomato ! I'm not a sauce person so I order mine plain but my husband says their signature sauce is delicious! Had to skip lunch today one of our group had no mask and was offered to stay outside (what like a dog?). We just left, since there is no mandate in this area for it, they are the only ones there doing this. We went across the street, no issues. No issues anywhere in the area, not Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Chipotle, any of them. If there was, we could clearly understand. What a shame. Meanwhile no one eating right next to where we stood had a mask on. I get restaurants are under pressure for this, and NYC has a mandate which is understandable and we comply. I order Grill Cheese for my Son (he is under the age of 2)who was in the car with me. It was getting late and I had a lot of groceries in my vehicle. I ordered via App to save time as I always do periodically. Bad choice. I waited over 10 minutes after hitting the "I'm Here" button in my vehicle. I had to make 5 calls to the restaurant 9:05pm, 9:58, 8:59pm, 8:51pm, 8:46pm (2 call where the restaurant did not answer). My 1st call after patiently waiting 10 min in my car with a hungry/tired toddler, the person said it would be right out... 10 minute later, No Food. Called again, someone who stuttered very badly talked to me and told me they would be right out. Advised the individual that I've been waiting over 10 min for Grill Cheese after App stated it was ready. Advised individual I needed my food. Individual states they will give me my money back. Advised individual I was not interested in a refund and need to feed my son. Individual told me to come in for refund. I refused to come into the building because I have my son in the vehicle and a vehicle full of groceries. Individual stated food would be right out. I watched the staff from my car for another 10 minutes talk while my bag of cold grill cheeses sat on the counter. (I have worked in the food industry for a over 7 years so I'm pretty much understand the layout of where the Togo, App, Carry Out, Pick Up and for here orders go. And it can definitely be seen from the Curbside parking area. Food was brought out and it was COLD. I had to place a 3rd call, no answer, then called again. Advised individual that the Grill Cheese was cold. The individual stated that they would remake the order. 15 minutes later, the individual brought out BURNED (Black) Grill Cheeses. Called again, spoke to a manager and advised that I was very upset and if I had to come into the facility regarding this order, it was going to be a problem. I was assured that my order would be made over promptly. The staff watched my car for over 10 minutes while I sat and my food was not being made. At this point, I'm very upset and pull my vehicle to the front entrance and double park. I can see the unprofessional staff pu their "hand over their mouths and say "Oh Shit" as they realize I'm about to come into the facility. From there a "so called" black Manager came out to find out what happens. I advised him of the situation. He stated he would remake my food and refund my money, he also stated he would need my card to complete the refund at the register. This took another 15-20 minutes. The "Black Manager" came back with warm food, refund and passes for free burgers in the future. I also feel that the swift decision was made to send a black person out was because I'm black. Which also pissed me off. Because the Suffolk portion of Long Island is very white and I know for a fact that this location has a predominantly white staff. "send the black guy to deescalate a situation the white unprofessional staff caused". Typical for Suffolk for sure! This was the most awful fast food experience ever! Almost $20 and an hour of headache and back and fourth with unprofessional staff with bad phone etiquette!!! All this for some Shake Shack? Absolutely horrible. After being in the area for awhile, it was finally time to go to Shake Shack and see what the continuously long lines were all about. The caramel concrete was amazing. They really nailed it on the flavor. I wish they offered wider straws because the concrete is well, super thick and can take some time to get through. I wish everything else lived up to the concrete. The single Shack Burger was good but it was on the smaller side. I wish there was more to say about it. It was a solid burger but wasn't particularly exciting. The same goes for the fries. They were good but not the most recommendable. A double would have been the better way to go but we were hesitant on the price. The staff person who took our order was kind and patient and took the time to explain the menu to us. The menu as a whole is quite expensive. For a place that is considered to be on the take-out side, we spent almost $40 for two people which is something we would normally pay for at a sit-down restaurant. What happened to this place! Let me start with the good which is sadly quite brief. As usual the shakes here are pretty great even if they are on the expensive side. I like how you order from a screen kiosk and then you just wait for your food. That's where the good stuff ends sadly. The food is quite frankly pretty underwhelming, I got the avocado bacon cheeseburger with a single patty which was rather bland although the avocado tasted fine the portion is minuscule for the price and the fact that the burger is barely larger than a McDonald's Cheeseburger and it costs far more a Whopping $10.29! Then on to the fries which tasted like something you'd get frozen from a grocery store and also in a small box for $4.49 meanwhile even the smallest size of five guys fries tastes way better and is a much larger and generous portion. Five guys burgers leave me more satisfied (also smallest bacon cheeseburger is nearly $1 cheaper and unlimited and free toppings) and I've never waited more than 10 minutes if that. Another thing is the staff here seem disinterested in cleaning tables which is where we sat while we waited for our food we had to wipe it down ourselves and even sweep garbage off the floor from our table! Really hope shake shack can improve the quality, portions and speed of their service as it's SEVERELY lacking and I'd much rather be spending less and getting a more consistent burger at Wendy's or McDonald's of all places, or just go to Five Guys if I want to spend more. read more

I am not a fan of hype and with Shake Shack opening near Stony Brook, I expected more of the same.. expensive, small portions with long lines. I had Shake Shack before at Citi Field and it was tasty but nothing to get overly excited over. I also enjoy my burger at Bobby's Burger Palace so I didn't expect this franchise to affect my food choices much. With that said, Shake Shack still managed to surprise me. Their level of professionalism, comfortable and modern seating and high quality food. I've tried and enjoyed their burgers, chicken cutlets and hot dogs. Everything has been consistent and enjoyable. The biggest surprise has been the chicken sandwiches. Crisp and flavorful. My friends tell me it's better than chick fil a (I won't eat there so I will never know). The prices have been reasonable. I may have avoided the crazy lines by going at weird hours. I wish their were more options, such as a burger over salad or other healthier options. I Know.. this is Shake Shack. Ultimately I think I enjoy the ambience over Bobby's but I like the burgers over salad with avocado there. read more
