Probably one of the best fast food burger places there is. The bag fires are perfect. They don't skimp that's for sure. Service is always on point. Whoever the guy was taking the order was sure to hit on all the right things tried to up sell me advised me of who the manger was if I need anything else. Rounding up, but I'd say it's more of a 3.5 for me. My coworker raved about this place and we needed some lunch while in the area. We hit up this place at 2:15pm on a Saturday and it wasn't busy. There were a few tables eating, but plenty of open seats. The restaurant itself was a little warm (to be fair it was 100° outside and the open style means heat from the kitchen is bound to make its way to the dining area). I do like that it was clean and an employee was constantly cleaning the tables and taking out the trash when it was full. The bathroom was clean, but the floor was very sticky - thought I was gonna lose a flip flop when I was in there. Ordering can be weird (if you've never been there - like us). The cashier was very thorough and friendly though. Cool part? It's all cooked to order. The fries were hot and plentiful. The toppings are UNLIMITED. That's practically unheard of. The burger itself was good, but definitely on the greasy side. Overall, it was not bad, but not the best burger I've had in my life. I'd eat there again if I was in the area though. read more

I've been going to 5 guys for many years, yes it's expensive but worth every penny. Recently they added a small combo for a very reasonable price I think 14.99, which includes hamburger, small drink (unlimited refills) small fries ( which are really like a large fries with all the extra they add) I would say it's very reasonable. I'm giving it a 5 star review to an employee named Fernando, he is the most amazing, friendly person I've met in a fast food restaurant. He's so helpful when you're ordering and you can tell he enjoys his job. Fernando should be promoted to manager and replace the current manager that is always in a bad mood, that girl deserves a negative star review, she's always so mad, you ask her questions and she responds with a voice that she can't even hear herself. First time to this 5 Guys, we just moved to the area, total bill for 1 person $28.00 WOW wasn't expecting that, but understand because of min wage in CA. Now for the food: The cheese burger was it worth $13.00 no more like a $7.00 burger but again with CA wages I understand but burger was not worth $13.00 The large fry I order was $10.00 and was totally not worth $10.00 more like $4.00, there was so much salt on the fries I could not eat them, I did mention that to 3 employees and no one said anything. And the med coke was $5.00, now coke is my drank but again not worth $5.00, but as I said with wages in CA I understand. Now with all that said, I prefer 5 Guys over other burger places, so I will be back and hopefully it will be better quality food. All the negative reviews are from people that like McDonalds so they are totally untrustworthy. This place is excellent and has great service with quality food. Always happy when we can choose different toppings for our burgers. The girl manager was rude. She scraped the grill half and she the proceeded to place my cooking patties in the crap she just scraped. Luckily I saw this happen or I could have gotten sick. She scraped the grill on the other side but pushed the old meat all the way to the back of the grill and pushed it to the side like it's supposed to be done. Okay, let's be honest their burgers are pretty high-priced. I will admit that the food is good, though I had it delivered by doordash so by the time it got to me it was cold. I'm not certain what they do to justify their prices? The good thing about five guys is of course the peanuts, the fries, and the fact that you can add whatever you want as much as you want to your burger. I fell in love with Five Guys in Atlanta but I was SEVERELY disappointed by the Stockton location. The Riverbank location though is ON POINT. First off, EVERYTHING is fresh! Every single topping tastes amazing. The beef is fresh, the fries are fresh. You can get BACON in your MILKSHAKE!!!!! Came in for a small meal after shopping. My husband and I tend to eat smaller meals, so we wanted to split a cheeseburger and fries. After I ordered the employee asked what my husband wanted. He explained we were sharing and the employee said "ok, but they are small burgers!". My husband replied he understood and we continued. As the employee was going over our items he repeated "small cheeseburger" 2 or 3 times. We get it! You think they are small! This is more towards the actual franchise and not the workers here...but $45 for a regular cheeseburger, hotdog, 2 fries and 2 regular drinks is insane. My hotdog had melted sandwich cheese and one piece of bacon on it. Same for the cheeseburger. No combos, you buy everything separately. I can't imagine the price if we got the milkshakes. I've eatin here several times and has been ok not fantastic but ok. This time was a complete fail, the fries was not hot, not cood but not hot, like they was sitting for awile. Now the burgers, the other times have always been good this time was a disappointment, the burgers was nothing to complicated at all but they messed up both of them, they went even close as to what was on them. The receipt was correct but burgers way off Thought maybe we got someone else's burgers but we was only ones that ordered everyone else in place had theres already, so to back to counter and ate the semi cold fries first. 2md round they got it right. The burgers and fries are made right in front of you and you can see who's cooking your food and how it's being done. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which is a double patty. I went with lettuce, onions, jalapeños, mustard and mayo with Cajun fries. There's also free peanuts that you can munch on while you wait for your food. They also sell hot dogs and milkshakes, which are also very delicious. Between In N Out and Five Guys, I choose Five Guys. It's just completely fresh, super good, and worth the money.
