Honestly it's hard to find anything good to say about five guy burgers. First they are well done hockey pucks. You made all the sides in the world for free but it doesn't take away the taste of a overdone piece of meat. Number two I thought for $3.49 a little fries would be an ample portion of fries well it has been in the past but today the portion of fries I received was one small cup I did say something and they did remake it but the fact is they shouldn't have served it the way they presented it to me in the first place. Let's face it this is in gourmet dining but it is lousy fast food. Even if I waited a long time it didn't make it any better it was lousy. Now for the good point I have an allergy they made me a wrap out of lettuce put it in a bowl and it was very nice still the burger was as described before awful. Five Guys is by far my favorite chain burger restaurant ... in other cities. To be fair, when this Location opened here in Santa Fe it was spot on. Perfect burgers and fries, great service, clean restrooms. The past few times we came it was bad but today was the peanut on top of the poop cake. It took 45 minutes to receive 2 burgers, our large fries came out regular sized, and the meat was burned. My wife and I brought our baby and we had to fight off 2 meth heads to get into the bathroom so we could change his diaper. Behind the counter they looked understaffed and the manager looked overwhelmed. This'll be the last time I come to Five Guys and from now on I will only go to Blakes for a good fast food burger. read more

Sad to say but the work ethics and culture of Santa Fe can not support a high quality burger place like Five Guys or In Out Burgers. Fresh, hot, timely is not a Santa Fe tradition. Cudos to Five Guys for trying, but to get it right first time every time you need "real" on sight management who know how to motivate staff and a staff that understands just how unique their burgers are. Always an enjoyable experience with this franchise, and I felt I should straighten all these negative reviews. I reckon if you catch any certain business on any certain day, one could possibly have a sub-par experience. Sorry to say the service at this location has a lot to be desired. Workers were slow and rude. The restaurant was dirty and their drink machine was literally out of drink. When we asked for a refund in our drinks the workers refused saying that their drink shipment was coming in Monday. We were supposed to wait until Monday to get a drink? Bad bad bad. My first time here and completely disappointed. I was the only customer in the cafe and they still managed to screw up the order. I ordered the small burger---no mushrooms, and paid more for added bacon. Burger came out loaded with mushrooms, which I scraped off, and no bacon. Went to the counter for the bacon---was given some from a bin with pre-cooked bacon that was ice cold. This tiny burger cost me over $8! Needless to say, I won't be back. Finally, I'm sitting there at a table (again I'm the only one there) and the worker comes out to sweep the floor....does he start on the far side away from me? Last night I went in for a Door Dash pickup. It took over 20 minutes to pickup. I have also done pickup with Uber Eats. I have never done a pickup when the order was ready when I arrived. There were 4 staff members last night but only 1 was working, 1 on the phone, 1 sitting in the dinning room eating and 1 in the back. Several times I have arrived and they seem to run out of Shake mix. They must not have any way of knowing how much mix is in the machine. read more

This place has good food. It's also overpriced. If you dine in and have the money you'll have a good experience. If you try to place your order over the phone however you will not be pleased. The last 2 times I have called in an order they always get it wrong. Tonight I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with mayo, onion and jalapeño. Burger had no mayo, instead had ketchup. Did not give me regular onions, gave me grilled. They offer both and I did not request grilled. Will eat here again, will not call in an order again. If you're calling in an order make sure to check it before you leave (I know, inconvenient). read more

Went the first day they were opened. There were far from five guys there behind the counter. Try about eleven or twelve, and a few gals too. I'd say there were about 15 people working behind the counter. Most of them just standing around not even trying to look busy. I was surprised how long and difficult and complicated it was to just place an order. And then HOLY CRAP THE PRICE was out of this world... almost twenty dollars for a burger, a shake, and some fries. Right up there with the Shake Foundation for extremely overpriced fast food. While waiting for them to assemble the burger, I stood around and every few moments a different employee would come over asking questions like what is your number and explaining that my order will be ready soon, etc. Fine, but do you need fifteen people to pull this business off? Three or four maybe (except Lotaburger, who could use a few more staffers to speed things up) but fifteen? Maybe the first day was a training day and all employees had to be there. At one point one of the bosses told the employees to smile. Yeah, that's going to improve the flavor. Right. I've eaten Five Guys food in other states in the past and I always think, after the meal, you know, that was a lot of food, but it was very unsatisfying. Almost no flavor, more just, I don't know, food matter. The fries were too salty and too many and extremely expensive. The shake was not much better than a McDonald's shake, and way too expensive. The burger was mostly toppings, none of which had any flavor, and a patty that was as generic a piece of mystery meat you would get anywhere else in town. Bottom line: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE and not worth it. Hoping and praying an IN-N-OUT will come to New Mexico some day. I don't care where, I'll drive anywhere in the state for a decent burger. Oh. And in the meantime, the Panda Express is a better deal even with all of its issues. read more

Five guys Santa Fe suck. I watched them to prepare my food , well I thought it was my food but then they put a order ticket on it and put it on a shelf next to the fries. Then the kid started working on another order and got that out before mine. So when I asked about my order they pulled down that same bag I saw them put up and this has been 15 min after waiting on an on line order( which sucks, better to call me b orders) again better to call in orders. That online ordering is bs ! Then I waited another 15 min for fries , when I asked if I can get fresh burgers that said theirs nothing they can do. So I bluntly said you suck to all them. They take our money, gives us 30 min old burgers while I was waiting, and they claim fresh burgers. They wouldn't even give me the stores proprietor Name or contact number so they wouldn't get in trouble. Only reason for 1 star was because I can't leave a review with out it. Well, so many people have complained about the high prices and I agree. They are coasting on their past reputation. You can get a green chili cheeseburger, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and fresh cut fries across the way for $5.99 and table service. But hubby wanted to go to 5-G and I couldn't bring myself to order a $8 or $9 dollar burger so I got the VEGGIE SANDWICH. As they only have American Cheese which is barely cheese at all, I said no cheese. What I got was a totally unacceptable, pathetic attempt at a vegetarian sandwich: lettuce, tomato, some sautéed onions and a few strips of green pepper on a soggy white bread burger roll. It was an insult. THIS ITEM SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ON THE MENU! I will never eat there again. ZERO stars. read more

Cold burgers, I'm not coming here again. They toast you bun first and add the cold ingredients and then it sits there while the burger cooks. They add the cheese to the burger with no chance to melt. (should have taken a picture of that unmelted piece of cheese!) This has happened several times at this location. I'm not going back. read more

If I could rate a zero I would. I did an online order. I don't know how much more clear I could've been. Unfortunately I took it home before I checked my order. Three burgers completely wrong. The kid that was putting the orders together at the end of the line clearly didn't care about what he was doing. I watched him take burgers out of one bag and put them in another bag and give to another customer. I should've known.... I paid for double meat grilled onions and grilled mushrooms on one of my burgers. I paid for it online. I got totally ripped off. It figures that Santa Fe can't even get a hamburger right. The worst customer service in Santa Fe! We went in and all the tables were dirty! I asked if someone can come out to wipe up the tables an employee came out & wiped only one side of the table. I am vegan. I was excited to see that Five Guys had a vegan sandwich with grilled mushrooms. It was horrible. The mushrooms were not grilled. They were obviously from a can and only three slices at that. The toppings were ordinary: tomato, lettuce, onion (softened not grilled). on a plain store bought bun. I could have made the exact same sandwich at home for 50 cents yet my daughter paid about $6.50 for it. A frozen veggie burger would have made a better meal. This was the blandest burger I have had in town next to Shake Foundation and doesn't make an effort to carry green chiles! Even McDonalds does that! Seriously disappointed....and it was expensive as far as burgers go. Peanuts were the best thing! read more

I loved every Five Guys in California when I lived there. There's one (maybe more) in Albuquerque that is maybe four stars. The one in Santa Fe was never all that good and has gone straight down since it opened. Tonight was the worst. Neither my wife nor I got the toppings we ordered. The burgers were smaller than they had been and the buns were sized to match. No flavor in the meat. The portion of fries was half what it used to be and they were warm, not hot. All the empty tables (and they were many) were dirty as were most of the chairs. Loud heavy-metal music blared. Honestly, the usual fast food chain is now better and is half the price. Either get good management or just close it before you drag down the reputation of the chain even more. read more

This place is supremely over rated and horrible. The burger parries were dry and almost tasteless. I ordered the "All In" and got less than 5 toppings - not even close to the advertised 12 or so. Wow, a buddy of mine helped me pick up a new couch yesterday, so I said, "how bout I buy you dinner - you pick the place". He picked Five Guys. $26 for two burgers, one small fries, and two small sodas!!!!!!!!!! His burger was lettuce wrapped with all the fixings...it looked pretty darn good. My burger was PATHETIC!: two patties, maybe 1/8 pound each, overcooked, with a tiny bit of ketchup, a couple tiny slices of onion, they forgot the relish...for $7.79!!! Unbelievable. The fries were excellent. The refills on the sodas were a bargain. I just cannot get over how not even ordinary my burger was! I will never eat at this dump again. read more

I wish I could give it less than a star. Burgers are OVER PRICED for a burnt piece of super dry, thin, overcooked, without flavor burger. Where do they get this meat? I asked for some 'mayo' on it, just the basic and not even that they could get right. After 20 min wait, I went back to let them know but after looking at the 'finished product' ...I decided to let the 'cashier' who was very sour, know that it had no mayo, he said, I can put some on it. You wanted mayo he asked?? SERIOUSLY?? that is when I decided to return it. The manager, I guess stepped in and asked if I wanted a new one, I said no. What do you want? He asked in such a rude way I said a refund! And FYI all the fries (SOFT,LIMP) are on the bottom of the bag just thrown there. Didn't flinch went to the register then asked for my card. AT NO POINT did he ask anything about my experience, was something wrong, nope he didn't care. Other than the whole kitchen staff giving me looks. My husband left more than half of the burger because it was horrible as well, (that cheese looks and tastes like the famous BLOCK CHEESE basically not real cheese). McDonalds and Sonic shakes are better and larger. So for $30 I had some free nuts that they keep by the entrance, so eat up your burger's worth in peanuts because you are not getting a good burger in this joint! I guess it is good that they have provided employment for about 7 people who are working in the kitchen, but yet they can't get an order right and certainly not fast!! And the music is blasting, you can't hear anything! Believing all the hype on the posters I seriously question what is happening at this location being that they are a chain. So I've been a fan of five guys for some time now, but this particular one is not up to par. The overall cleanliness is what really threw me off because 5guys is well known for how clean their restaurants are. The fries the past few times have been way too greasy, surprisingly this time they were fresh and crisp, also they conveniently "forget" every time to give me the extra scoop of fries that comes in a regular serving, making me go up and demand them. I'm glad I gave it another try since they first opened, still could be better. The customer service is probably the best part of this five guys. read more
