Five Guys Cheeseburger w/ Small Order Cajun Fries
    Joe F.

4/11/20 "Dayum, dayum, dayum!" - Daym Drops, in reference to his delicious bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys. Five Guys continues to wow me with their perfect burgers. Evidenced by today's delivery order, a Five Guys burger is just as good no matter where you eat it. Today, we ordered two cheeseburgers with a few fixings: lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions and mushrooms, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. A good, sturdy, backyard burger. We also threw in a small order of cajun fries. Now may be a good time to add that I have been *cutting* calories lately, so how on earth could Five Guys accommodate this? Quite easily, actually, with their handy calorie calculators both on their website and delivery page. So, after working out a little math, we placed our order for 12:00 P.M. Our burgers were delivered via DoorDash. There was no delivery fee (do tip these folks), and we even had the option of contactless delivery. Our delivery person took care to stand a ways back when I opened the door to grab that signature paper bag. After weighing out 100g worth of cajun fries (232 cals), we assembled our plates, got the Netflix going, and dug into these juicy cheeseburgers (~920 cals each). It occurs to me now, writing this review, that I haven't had a Five Guys burger since the Spring of 2018! So, two years later, I can confidently report that the food is still ever godly. 'Til next time, Five Guys. Thanks for a fine lunch at home.

After I took my 1st bite I pulled this out of my mouth

I would rate this with zero stars but if I want to comment unfortunately I have to give a star. This is the 1st time eating and ordering from here and I found hair in my food. I called to the store to let them know and all I got was... well unfortunately because the food left the store we don't know if you put your hair or you co workers hair in your food?!?!... WTF!!!! Worst customer service ever and the hair was cooked into the burger as you can tell. Upon further inspection I found 2 strands of hair COOKED into the patty of the burger!!!....

During the course of my meal I could amuse myself watching the growing grease stains

Grease in a bag with some fries thrown in. Ew! The picture tells the story. Obviously they don't keep the oil at the right temperature since when I'd bite into a fry, it wasn't white with a crispy outer crust, but had the translucence of oil which it oozed. Cruelty to potatoes! Such a shame to take lovely fresh potatoes from a family farm in Idaho that is proudly listed on the board and then subject them to such torture and charge so much. The hand-forms but thin burger was tasty, and it's nice that they let you put all sorts of toppings for free on it, but even they couldn't mask the bland and seemingly stale wrinkly roll. First time at a Five Guys. It may be my last.

    Soggy bread and soggy lettuce

Just picked up 2 burgers, drove 5 min home and they were completely soggy a small price of soggy lettuce in both and has no flavor !!!!! Paid 45$ for 2 aweful burgers I don't recommend at all .

My friend and I had an overnight layover in Phoenix while flying across the country. Luckily my friend has family in the area so we asked them to show us around and maybe try some good ol' Southwest grub. They all said we had to try Five Guys Burgers and Fries. So after making the trek over to Tempe we finally arrived. Meh... When we said Southwest grub we didn't have fast food in mind. Plus I've now heard there are Five Guys locations all over the place. Living in Southern California, amazing fast food burger joints isn't a new thing to me. After trying Five Guys I'll gladly stick to Tommy's or In N Out.

A but pricey for burger & fries combo, comes out to about $13 for a single patty combo. Average tasting, prefer In N Out to this.

It has been around for DECADES and there is no question as to why it is still there. When visiting the Chuck Box know that it is cash only (ATM on-site), and super popular. There WILL be a line. The line does move extremely fast, due to the fact that the line cooks are definitely not waiting until you get to the counter to take your order. They will call out to anyone in line (regardless of where in line you are) and take your order, yelling it out if needed. It is such a unique and fun experience. The burgers are not overpriced and are phenomenal! It is self serve toppings, after you pay for your order you can go to the topping bar and add as much to your burger as your heart desires. They additionally have other food on the menu such as veggie burger, chicken sandwhiches, chicken tenders, onion rings, fries, fried zuchinni, fried mushrooms, and more. I have had both the fried zuchinni and mushrooms and I would definitely recommend both options! Since it really popular, be aware that there is limited seating and it is crowded. It is additionally extremely warm (especially during the summer) inside the building due to the grill. If you have not already checked out the Chuck Box, I would definitelly recommend that you check it out as soon as possible!!!

To start, my burger tasted pretty good. The cheese was good. Bun was a little dry and stale. The lettuce was yellow and chopped and looked several days old and slightly rotten. Two of my tomatoes had active mold growing on them. It was too dark inside to see it but we ate in the car and saw the moldy spot then. The fries are good but way too salty. We really liked the fried mushrooms. But we made our own dipping sauce which was better than the ranch they give you: mix 2/3 mustard and 1/3 Mayo. Tangy and delicious. We get these at "The Windmill" when we go to the jersey shore and the sauce that comes with the fried mushrooms is a horseradish sauce which is amazing (hint hint, Chuck Box). I would eat here again but bring a flashlight to inspect the produce and lower my expectations. It was good, not great. It smelled kind of off in here also. The AC and vents probably need to be cleaned.

The restaurant was clean and inviting, the staff were friendly, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. The only minor area for improvement would be the fries and onion rings, which were a little more well-done than I prefer. That said, I would definitely rather have them crispy than soggy! I would also love to see a few more beverage options added to the menu, such as fresh craft lemonade, flavored iced teas, or other specialty drinks in a case or cooler to choose from. The current drink selection felt somewhat limited, and having a little more variety would have elevated the overall experience for me. With an expanded beverage selection, this easily would have been a five-star experience for me. The cheeseburger alone is absolutely worth coming back for! I recommend this place if you are in the area and craving a good burger!

Review 1: Eureka! - Tempe, AZ (Lunch Visit)…read more Stepping into Eureka! for a weekday lunch, I found the restaurant nearly empty, with perhaps three tables occupied. My server, likely named Natasha, was immediately warm and personable, which set a good tone. I ordered the fish tacos, roasted Brussels sprouts, and charred green beans. The dishes arrived in about 13 minutes--a reasonable turnaround--but I was surprised that the tortillas were cold, and the green beans were only lukewarm. The portion sizes are modest, which actually works well for solo dining since there's no pressure to share. While my server was excellent, the overall front-of-house experience had some rough edges. Walking in through the patio, I encountered a host stand blocking a door--odd given that the restaurant has a more attractive main entrance on the opposite side. Staff were sometimes gathered near the front while guests waited, and at one point, employees were eating at the bar top rather than in a back area, which felt unprofessional for an otherwise stylish space. Eureka! has potential, and the food has bright spots, but details like presentation temperature and guest perception of staff behavior are where the experience falters.
