Hit and miss. Slow times? Great, most of the time. Busy times? Don't bother. A week ago, I had what is now the expected experience. (I am writing his after a trend of poor service. This is just one set of experiences) Friday night at this location means undercooked food and smaller than expected fry portions. They didn't even bother to brown my grilled cheese. The bread was still white, barely toasted and the cheese cold/unmelted. The burgers were not correctly topped. The fries, skimped on. We ordered it take out. Today when we asked them to toast my grilled cheese this time and explained our previous experience, they were less than understanding. Instead we got Coldly polite and clearly annoyed attitudes. But at least the grilled cheese was correctly cooked. At 11 am on Saturday. A non prime time moment. I should also mention we tip 20-30% when we eat out. We tipped $10 the trip they screwed up the former order. We did not tip for this order due to the attitude. We have eaten at other chain locations without complaint and also treated with friendliness and service that goes above and beyond. Most locations not only fill your get cup but happily overfill all fry cups in the bag. The Wellington Location however doesn't believe service is important during rush times. Quiet times, they usually follow the chain practices, during prime time? You're lucky to even get a fry cup filled more than halfway. Considering the price of their food for a normal order for a family of 4, you'd think they'd follow the chain policies and do their best to encourage repeat business. This used to be a guilty pleasure for me in my otherwise healthy, home made food life but no more. I'll drive to Palm Beach Gardens if I have a hankering for 5 Guys. Maybe someone with training authority will take the time to reeducate this team at this location about what customer service is and how to properly prepare food. Perhaps they will learn that policies adopted by 5 guys is not to be thrown to the wayside just because it's prime time. read more

While I do enjoy Five Guys burgers, I'm not quite as emphatic as many people because I have a few alternatives that I believe are as good/better (although they are also slower and more pricey). Regardless of the number of burger options locally, I don't believe any burger in the PBC area comes with a more *consistently* good french fries. I've had a few Shula Burger experiences with great fries, same with BurgerFi. However, none as consistently great as Five Guys. I also feel the Wellington location is a relatively good location compared to others I've ordered from. read more

This is the fourth time this week we ordered pick-up and some experiences have been very good and some not so good.The pick up is quick and efficient and the food is sometimes very good and served hot. Yesterday we got two orders of small fries and they were not even remotely warm which is rare but every business has an off experience on occasion. It is very easy to order on line and get your sandwiches prepared exactly the way you want except they are all cooked well done w no choice there. Management may need to make sure fires are served hot on pick up orders as there is no excuse for cold fries on a store pickup. We stopped adding fries to our orders because of two days worth of unsatisfactory fries but the first day they were served so hot we could not eat them and that is optimum. Today I placed an order early for delayed pick-up and the four burgers were apparently prepared way ahead of time and were cold and virtually unedible when we picked them up. Also, cheese was placed on the sandwiches but it was not melted - looked like a refridgerated slice of cheese was added as an after thought to the four burgers.Their website and ordering process is one of the best and the prices are right but too many mistakes lately. New management needed or existing managers need to be trained to be more observant. read more

Five Guys is a relatively new, slowly expanding national burger chain restaurant with a brilliant marketing model.The simple red and white checkerboard color scheme is catchy and alluring. The restaurants are always spotlessly clean and very spacious. As far as the food is concerned, the menu is very simple, essentially just burgers and fries but they also serve hot dogs as well. The burgers taste OK but they look really nasty, and like another reviewer alluded to previously, you just may need a Maalox soon afterward. Better than the large national chains, but also spendier. And what's the deal with the "All Toppings Are Free?" Aren't the topping free EVERYWHERE??? WTF! Fries are the real attraction here. Freshly cut in the store and among the best I've tasted. And the fries, how can one forget about the fries. They are one part potato, on part oil, one part salt and ten parts fantastic! Just a tip, one order of fries is enough for a family of three so keep that in mind when you are ordering. The staff is fast and friendly and they are constantly keeping it clean.
