Although the crew was unusually polite and professional; the quality of the product was shockingly subpar. Also, they only have kiosks for ordering, which I refuse to use and the owner or manager will just look at you and watch you walk out the door. We circumvented that by going through the drive thru and then taking our "food" inside to eat. I was shocked to find out that you could only get a refill on your drink by scanning your receipt, which I had thrown away with our partially eaten meal as no one told me it was required to get a refill. Never again I will visit this establishment. I went down Friday use my debit card and noticed I was charged twice. I called the manager. I think his name was Ozzie and told him what happened. I gave him my name and phone number and told him what happened. He said he will call me back in in a couple of days a few hours to know the results to try to get my money back. It was only $7.91 but it's my money anyway I waited waited waited for the call no called as of yet it's been about two weeks. Oh man, I really regret not looking at reviews before I ordered through DoorDash. I got some fries and patty melt. It looks like they were put in a plastic bag and sealed to carry, but when you put hot items in sealed plastic bags it creates, you guessed it, CONDENSATION! OMG, what happened to Steak N Shake? No sassy waitresses and now paper thin burgers? Clearly the company is taking a different direction in customer service and food quality. There is no one to take your order, the time consuming kiosk requires you to enter data for every meal. The cheeseburger I ordered was small with little beef. Honestly McDonald's is better and cheaper. I observed a manager handling food without washing his hands, he just put down his phone and started cooking. After many experiences, I decided I had to review this location (seen none other, so no comparison). I just love their simplified selections and taste of their food, at a reasonable price range. Nothing extravaganza or something to add every step on the way. (Maybe too many Shakes to choose from...) I cannot relate to the negative comments here; on the contrary, I received the best service overall, inside or drive-thru. They are modernizing without changing their nostalgic ambiance; ordering from self check-out is actually easier. Do you really think you can order faster over the counter with a family of five, everybody having a different idea of what they are getting? I can order thru the app and get my food on the way to or from work within minutes. The staff is fast and friendly, always going the extra mile. Shout-out to the manager with grey hair! I myself did food delivery, so never trust the delivery over personal shopping. If something is cold or missing, it is absolutely not the store's fault. This restaurant is horrifying! Fly's everywhere I couldn't stand to wait inside for my food. There was bugs and rodents in bathroom. My kids waited 2 hours to get 4 milkshakes and they were completely ignored by the staff. This is very unacceptable! I spent 5 days in South Florida last week, and ate at Steak n Shake four times! Three times for lunch/dinner, once for breakfast....each time was just as good as the last. I was astonished to realize that Florida is littered with Steak n Shake franchises, as the only one I visited was five hours from home in Pittsburgh, PA. My go-to menu item is the Frisco Melt with fries, and the price is perfect for the product! I also tried a breakfast "sandwich" consisting of pancake "buns" with a sausage patty and eggs in between. I placed an order through uber eats and all I received was drinks. Tried to contact your telephone number listed in your webpage and the phone number says called failed. According to uber eats you are at fault for the partial delivery. It would be nice if you actually had a functional telephone number so that you could reachable. Burger came out and waitress brought a butter burger. I said to the waitress that my order was wrong and she said that was what I ordered. I told her I was not eating it because I ordered the garlic burger. for 5 minutes the waitress argued with me. I asked for the manager and explained everything and told her that I still wanted my meal and the manager paid for my meal. The reason I am giving 2 stars instead of one because the manager took care of me.
