The receipt.

I went to this location yesterday. I dont live in that area,so when I'm out that way, this was my place to eat. But after my last two visits, I will start going back to Chick-fil-A. It isn't hamburgers, but they get the orders right. Also , Food is hot. I got tird of chicken. I ordered my usual. Single garlic cheese burger with onions and pickles. Price is about the same as BK or McDonald's. They did the order correct. But this time, it wasn't even cooked to order. How do I know? 1) It wasn't even hot or luke warm. You can tell by the picture. 2) The Cheese stuck to the hamburger with onion in the middle. Nit even gooey for just made. You can tell it wasnt fresh because the onion stuck to the cheese and the cheese stick to the hamburger. Not like it did if it was fresh. I do reviews to give credit where it is due. Mostly good ones because the companies only get the bad side of them. But, this time, it was really disappointing. Cold burger just doesn't cut it. Not only that,I could barely taste garlic. Which made even more disappointing, because that was the whole reason of ordering a garlic cheese hamburger. It will be awhile before I go out of my way to this place again. I just look forward to a good cheese burger. But last two visits, it didnt do it. I quit getting their fries long time ago because they were always cold. I used to recommend this place all the time. But not any more. Not any time soon. Staff are still nice, you get your food quick. But I would rather wait a bit for it to be fresh, and hot, then left over cooked burger. Look at the picture. You will see.

Oh man, I really regret not looking at reviews before I ordered through DoorDash. I got some fries and patty melt. It looks like they were put in a plastic bag and sealed to carry, but when you put hot items in sealed plastic bags it creates, you guessed it, CONDENSATION! So of course all of my food was extremely soggy and literally inedible. And to add onto that, I ordered two large fries and they were barely even filled!!! Come on guys.

Easy ordering at the drive thru. Great shakes and burgers too. Usually fast service. A nice change from the usual suspects.

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the live mariachi singer was absolutely fantastic, he really made the evening special. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious, and both of our meals were packed with flavor. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and my husband had the pollo asado. Both were excellent! We had such a wonderful experience. La Cantinita has definitely earned a spot in our regular restaurant rotation. If you're looking for great Mexican food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere, I highly recommend checking them out...especially on a Friday night when the mariachi singer is there. You won't be disappointed!

My friend had eaten there before, so she suggested sitting at the bar due to experiencing really slow service during her last visit. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't too busy, with a handful of additional people at the bar and a few tables filled with guests. There are a ton of options on the cocktail menu, so after a long deliberation, I decided on the margarita flight. I must say, the presentation is 10/10. Some flavors I enjoyed more than others, and it's not something I would order every visit, but realistically, for the price, it's a good value. Service was indeed slow, even at the bar. I did have to repeat my order several times, so I do believe the staff may be a little new to food service in general. There were a lot of staff working in the main dining room for it to have been so slow. As for the food, I was significantly overwhelmed by all the options on the menu. I decided to go with the elotes off the cob and the empanada flight (steak, chicken and buffalo chicken). The empanada flight was so delicious! I could only finish two of the three, but I thoroughly enjoyed the third one today at work. They weren't only crispy, but the filling was flavorful, and the portion size was great. The elotes were yummy as well. I had enough to take home and finish with my last empanada. Definitely two items I would re-order on another visit. Overall, the service was friendly. We were asked to take a picture, and my friend and I agreed, laughing about possibly ending up on their IG page. Shortly after, the photographer brought us three framed versions of the photo for purchase, lol. Definitely a more Lauderdale/Miami/Atlanta-type lounge move, but funny nonetheless. We politely declined.

The restaurant is small and parking is limited. Staff was very friendly, They serve breakfast here all day. My husband had one of their breakfast specials, while I had something from the lunch side of their menu. He got their "Georgia Breakfast". It had two biscuits with sausage and cheese topped with sausage gravy along with two over easy eggs and grits. He said the biscuits were wonderful -- nice and soft inside. We were surprised to learn they were not house made, but from a food service company, Cheney Brothers. I got their crispy chicken club sandwich. The all white meat chicken was breaded and fried. It was very good. Came with a few strips of bacon, a large slice of red tomato, and a lettuce leaf. The bacon could have been a tad more well done. And the bun -- called a Kaiser roll on the menu -- was more like a hamburger bun. I didn't eat the bread. Got potato salad as my side. It was eggy and slightly sweet from the pickle relish. Good, but not my favorite. I had to get a biscuit to go -- just to try one -- and ate it in the car with the provided butter as my "dessert". Glad we got to try this place. Definitely a good option for breakfast. Although their pot roast special of the day looked appealing, too .

They were pretty full when we came here on a Saturday afternoon. We decided to sit at the bar. We had good service here. My husband enjoyed a draft. They had a couple appealing blackboard specials including a crab bisque soup. We both wound up getting some of this soup. It was thick and very good! My husband got the half sandwich and soup. For his sandwich choice he got roast beef with tomato and onion on rye bread. Except for the edges of the bread being a little tough, he really liked the roast beef. And he liked the crab bisque so much that he got a bowl to go. After my cup of soup, I had their "lazy wings" -- basically chicken tenders. Five large breaded pieces to the order, I got them with teriyaki sauce. They were a bit sticky with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, but very good. For my side I got the veggies (celery and carrots) instead of fries. I wound up taking three of the tenders home. We are already planning what to order next time we come...

1 star La Perrada…read moredel Gordo - Worst service I've ever experienced My husband and I visited La Perrada del Gordo on July 11, 2025, with two family members. We ordered a Hawaiian hot dog, a Choriperro, two appetizers, and drinks, spending about $50. First, our server brought just one hot dog out of the four meals. It looked like a Hawaiian hot dog--pineapple, pink sauce, chips on top--so I assumed it was mine and ate it. However, when the rest of the food arrived over 20 minutes later, my husband realized he'd been given a Hawaiian hot dog instead of the Choriperro he ordered. We told the waitress, who took the plate back, but the manager came over and insisted that what I'd eaten was a Choriperro, not a Hawaiian hot dog. Despite me explaining that I'd already eaten the Hawaiian hot dog, she argued and refused to replace my husband's order with what he originally wanted. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the manager returned to our table carrying a tray with an uncooked regular hot dog and a Choriperro to "teach" us the difference, as though we were clueless. It was humiliating and unnecessary. Yes, I mistakenly ate the wrong hot dog because it was covered in so many condiments that I didn't realize it was the Choriperro--but that's precisely why the staff should have helped fix the mix-up rather than argue and try to "educate" me. Rather than provide good customer service, the manager chose to belittle and embarrass us in front of the restaurant. My husband ended up eating a hot dog he didn't want or enjoy, and we left feeling humiliated and angry. I would never return to La Perrada del Gordo and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. A simple mistake could have been handled kindly and professionally, but instead, the staff made it the worst dining experience I've ever had.
