Walked in and we were immediately greeted. Had some peanuts while we waited. It was completely empty on a Saturday around noon, but 4th of July. Three other sets of customers came in while we waited. But was nice and peaceful. Food was fast. Order was two bacon cheeseburgers and one small fry. No drinks. Burgers were great, as always. Fries were fine, I prefer a fry that is crispy and these always are a little undercooked in my opinion. Also this was not a big deal to us but they did not toss extra fries in the bottom of the bag like they have in the past. Just the fries in the fry box. Again not an issue for us, we had just enough but don't expect extras. We will definitely be back. Love that you get to customize your burger. One of the best burgers IMO. read more

Okay I change my mind on this place. I do really love their burgers and their fries took some getting used to but it is really good food. Although it's considered fast food, it doesn't really taste like I'm eating fast food. I will say the customer service could have been a bit better. I get that it's a fast paced restaurant but the girl taking our order was very rude. My friend that I went with hadn't been there before and the girl at the cash register was almost annoyed that she had to explain what did and didn't come on the burger. Definitely have to be in the mood for the food but it is very good. Just hope the establishment can train their employees to be more friendly. read more

I have been a long time fan of Five Guys and have eaten at Five Guys all across the country. They stand out with their optimistic and upbeat culture right when you walk in the door. This location lacks that enthusiasm Five Guys is known for. Most of the staff seem unhappy to be there and are hard to engage in simple meaningful conversation. The one exception to this was one time the manager took my order and she was awesome. Five Guys is also known for the quality and freshness of the food. This location delivers 6/10 on the quality and freshness. I can't nail down what it is but it just doesn't taste the same. It's the only one in the area so I keep coming back. Absolutely a joke came in at 8 o'clock and we were not even greeted we were asked how many patties we had to ask the gentleman 3 times what and he said she wants to know how many patties? I took my order to-go because of the amount of people there at 11:10 AM or so when I arrived...no tables were open. The line moved relatively quickly with the exception of a few people that had no idea what "move along to the front" means when it's standing room only and you're waiting for your food. I got my burger and headed back to the office; it's about an 8-10 min trip. When I got to my desk the bun was so wet (on top and bottom) that my fingers literally went through it. As far as the meat quality and flavor I think it's much better than any other "fast food" burger in the metro. The other components were nice and fresh... Service was stellar considering the volume they were pumping out. I'm guessing there won't be this many people working in their kitchen when the newness factor dies down; or maybe they'll add an additional franchise location here if it doesn't... The prices for drinks and milkshakes seemed kind of high to me...but maybe I'm just cheap. $2.39 and $2.69 for sodas. Had I been able to eat there it might now have seemed that bad...but for one glass full and no opportunity for a refill after leaving it seemed high ($1 large special at McDs right now). $4.49 for a milkshake that looked to be pretty darn small... I didn't realize the fries were ala carte. I was a 5 Guys virgin until today so I wasn't familiar with the drill... I'd already paid for my burger when I realized my mistake. I figured if I tried to correct it and add fries to my order, after the fact, people might riot. ;) So I paid $9+ for a pretty good double-cheeseburger (regular) that basically self-destructed after transit... I've been a Five Guys fan since I first tried it almost ten years ago. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard WDM was getting one. We wanted to go opening day but didn't want to wait in the huge line so we came back four days later. There was still a line out the door but by only a handful of people. The place was packed, hot, loud, "smokey," and covered in peanut shells. The line area is outlined by boxes of peanuts, bags of potatoes, and boxes of peanut oil. We waited in line for maybe twenty minutes while our daughter entertained herself by picking up peanut shells from the floor and throwing them away (I kid you not). She sure entertained the line with this. You'll notice right away that the prices are higher than other fast food places. But, in my opinion, the quality is worth the price. Something you need to know if you've never been is the "Little Hamburgers" are a single patty while the "Hamburger" has two patties. There are a ton of topping selections and they are free! I got the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and BBQ sauce. It was delicious! My husband had the Cheeseburger fully loaded. He enjoyed his as well. We ordered a plain hot dog for our daughter. At almost $5 it's expensive for sure. Especially when she ate only a couple pieces and the bun. I guess the bun is great. Haha! My husband finished her hot dog and he said it was a really good one. On to the French fries. My family of three can easily share a "Little" fry. I much prefer the Cajun ones but with a young child, we just can't do the spice. So we had to get the plain. The plain are just that, plain. Not my favorite. The secret to containing the fries are to take all the sandwiches out of the bag, lay the bag on its side and tear the bag "open" on the top side. No mess and easy to share. The (women's) bathroom is a large single toilet room. There is a changing table and plenty of room around it. It was a clean bathroom and wasn't smokey. I'm so glad I finally got to have my Five Guys fix after a couple years. I'm sure we'll be back in the future and hope for less of a wait (for our sake). read more

Customer service was very good. We were acknowledged when we came in and once we got our food to go we were again greeted with a smile and a thank you. The food - OK, but not a good value proposition. I can get a good burger at a number of places (many within walking distance of this location) and spend the same or less for equal or better quality. From the time we placed our order until we got our food was 14 minutes. Perhaps we should have ordered ahead, but we saw someone else who did that still wait 5-10 minutes for their food. There were 6 people working at 7:30 on a Tuesday night and they were keeping quite busy the whole time. The burger was OK, the bun was very soft and good, and the large variety of toppings is a nice touch, but at about $6 just for a small (which was plenty for us) burger, that's essentially 'fast food', it was a bit pricey. We got a small order of Cajun fries, which was more than enough for 2 of us, but they were half soggy and had a decent taste, but not great. From the crowds we saw last night they're doing quite well - the local favorite BBops is opening close by in the next few weeks and it will be interesting to see what affect that has. read more

I've been to a few 5 guys and this specific location is dirty. The burger I got was sloppily made and falling apart before I even took a bite. The fries were soggy and cold... which isn't a great combo on top of not really liking their fries. I got a milkshake which was simply chocolate milk in a cup. It wasn't milkshake consistency, no whipped cream. Just close to room temp chocolate milk in a cup. I didn't really end up eating what I got in fear of food born illness. First time eating at a Five Guys restaurant. I arrived around 12:30 on a Monday and they were busy with their lunch service. Lots of people dining in and several picking up orders already called in. Decor is simple. There are platforms of huge bags of russet potatoes in the dining area. Serves as storage and decor I guess to boast their "fresh cut fries" image. I did notice it was not ADA compliant. A person with a wheelchair would have a very hard time getting through their dining area because there are so many tables and chairs crammed in a tight space. Another thing that was a bit off putting was the greasy floors. The place was clean but the floor had a slippery greasy feeling under your shoes. All the way to the restroom. Maybe they are using the same mop that they clean the kitchen with in their dining and restrooms. The shining star is the food. You order your burger, any topping you want (toppings are free!!!) size of fry and drink. They also have hand blended shakes. This is not fast food! They don't put your burger patty on the grill until you order. So be prepared for a 10 minute wait to get your food. I ordered my cheeseburger "all the way". Which means it had the following toppings : ketchup,mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, sautéed mushrooms and onion. The burger itself was fantastic- not a skinny little fast food burger. It was fried on a flat top and perfectly cooked and juicy. I liked all the toppings but I felt that there were so many it cooled down my burger more than I would have liked. The shinning star of my meal- the fries. I got the smallest size but it was easily enough for 2 people. I got them seasoned the "five guys spice" but they also have Cajun spice. I got to try a Five Guys when I was in FL once. When I heard they were invading us I got really excited. They were pretty quiet about their opening but once I saw they were open we planned to hit them up. Just a week or so after the opening and we went on a late Friday afternoon. Mostly taken up by the kitchen and then lots of bag of potatoes, boxes of peanuts and peanut oil that helps you work your way to the counter to order. 2 Registers both being worked and over their shoulders you can see about 8 people working the grills and fryers. If you have the chance to take a look at the menu before you go... do. I knew before I got there what I wanted and what would be too much for us even as a group of women going to eat. I ordered the LITTLE burger which is 1 patty. If you know that you want just one patty this will save your stomach and your pocket book. A regular burger for them is 2 patties and about $7. We got a 2 regular fries to share between 5 women and it was WAY too much. So I LOVE the burger. NOM - get everything on it. The fries were soggy and greasy and could have been cooked longer and I hope they will when the crowds slow a little. The Cajun fries were just a different seasoning. They come piled in the brown bag on top of your burger and the bag is greasy soaking up the extra grease from the fryer. The chocolate shake yes pretty good. A little thin for a fry dipper such as myself, but still very tasty. The ambience is LOUD. Tiny place= open grill+ people shouting orders + people yelling number of orders out. Then really loud music and people trying to talk over the music. Overall this is a fast paced place. You hope people are quick to eat so they give up their spots so you can sit. There is a tiny space out back for seating but thats not going to do anyone any good now that the weather has turned cold here. The fries are always the best just be careful and order a small for 2 people as that will be more than enough. The restaurant is always clean and the bathrooms are clean also. Personally, if I wanted to throw away $30+ for two people to eat, I'd just grill a couple decent steaks from the grocery store. When I received the burger and realized it was "dry" I went to the counter and asked if I could get some mustard (I had one of their plastic cups intended for ketchup that I thought they could put it in). I can't figure out what the hype is for this place (i.e. why so busy). It must be popular for the large cities where they don't have good beef? The hamburgers are not good. The meat is a small amount with a huge bun. I wasn't a fan of the fries either. The prices are insane for what you get ($22 for 2 single burgers, 1 fry and 2 sodas). We only stopped here because we were in the area and it was Sunday, so not much for quick options (p.s. it wasn't quick either). Plus, I hadn't tried it yet, so I thought I would. You will be better off when B-Bops opens up in the area or drive out towards I-80 and stop at Culver's. They are a good Mid-Western burger making company with good prices and fresh ingredients. There's a lot of hype around Five Guys. That's what it is- hype. The lines are crazy. Not sure how long that will last. I ordered online and arrived 3 minutes til 11. I waited long enough for them to get the order ready. The service is great! Nothing but good vibes from that standpoint. I ordered a regular burger with all the fixings and Cajun fries. It was around $11 ish which is pretty pricey for a burger. The burger was good, a lot bigger than I was anticipating. The fries were totally disappointing. They were limp and squishy and WAY over-seasoned. Future state, I will forego Five Guys for B Bops. I can get a big ol burger, crunchy yummy fries, and a chocolate shake for around $8.50 which pleases my pockets and my taste buds. It's hard to hold a candle or even surpass the Bops. read more
